Another Scrap your Crap Challenge!

Simone and Greta, over at Scrap your Crap posted this week's challenge.....use more than 10 buttons! I thought this would be an easy challenge.......nope! I had a vision for this page.........it went totally awry! Why are some pages like that? Some come together super easy, while others........well....don't?! These are pics of my adorable nephew at his 2nd birthday. (Which as last summer.....a bit behind as you can see!) I wanted to punch bunches and bunches of circles and mix the buttons within them. I had trouble with the LO. Didn't know where I should place the pics. So I settled on this! The title was done with foam stamps and acrylic paint. The year was done with stickers. I added some fine lines to the journaling and the bottom of the page because it looked too empty! I added a few Elmo stickers and after 3 days of agonizing over this....it was done! What do you think?

Have a great weekend everyone!

Okay, I posted this same question to to Mish's blog but thought since you posted a scrap page today I'd ask you too.
Wanna give some advice? I am not much of a scrapbooker but would like to do more. I am going to a 12 hour crop that a CM consultant is having and I need some advice about what to take. I have a couple of incomplete scrapbooks that have been started and need work (my daughter's first year and a vacation) and I also have a couple of albums that need started (a birthday one and a Christmas one). I don't know what is a reasonable amount of stuff to take. Plus I am a stamper. Should I take stamp stuff? AND I have a SU scrappin' kit, would it be rude to take it to a CM event? I know, long question but I thought you could help! Thanks for any input you have time to share!
