Embrace Happiness...

Tonight was a whirlwind of activity.......Cort had her last cheerleading practice before the Special Olympics this weekend, and then out to dinner with all of her girlfriends and their moms. It was Patty's 15th birthday. All of us gals have such a good time together! When we got home it was after 9 PM. By the time baths and homework were done it was getting a bit late. Then my son tells me out of the blue, that he needs to bring in 7 pictures for his 6th grade end of year DVD.......by tomorrow! What? It is now 10:00 PM, and NOW you tell me this? So as I was looking through old boxes of extra photos, it made me realize how much my children have grown and changed. How much I've changed. It made me a bit teary looking at their baby photos and my wedding photos. Photos of my pregnancies, first days of school, first haircuts.......etc.....etc...

So I decided to slow down tonight, pull up a chair, and enjoy the memories......and vow to create more. Like spending time with Cort's friends and their moms to celebrate a 15 th birthday......

This card was created using Crafty Secret's Journaling Booklet. The images are beautiful! I used Graphic 45 paper, did some distressing, and added a large flower. The parenthesis was a stamp I had. I stamped it on old book paper in brown, then cut it out. I thought it to be an appropriate card for today......It was a happy day.....

Thanks for stopping by and listening to me rambling! : )
