I am absolutely in love with the new Spring Cottage cartridge! I love this new strawberry cut and basket! I decided to try something new and dip them all in chocolate....... : ) Not real chocolate of course but a concoction that looks a whole lot like chocolate!
My chocolate dipped strawberries certainly are not perfect.....and with all art, sometimes a learning process! I look at my lil' strawberries and think I probably could have dipped them a little higher.....but what's done is done.
Even with the chocolate being a bit meager I still think the strawberries look pretty sweet!
Here is a little step by step on how I made this summery fruit.....When you cut them from the cartridge, this is how they look. You need to glue the ends together. I took a fine floss and run it through the holes at the top and pulled it shut. To make the chocolate, you will need glossy accents....
Dark chocolate paint and mix. I used about 3/4 glossy accents and 1/4 paint. Then dip and let them drip dry! : ) And when you make yours......be sure to be a bit more generous with the "chocolate" then I was! ; )
Today is my last day of school......spring break begins and I have an entire week off. I am so excited to have a bit of free time and hopefully find myself elbow deep in paper and glitter!

Your berries & basket turned out so cute---I like the lace you ran around the basket edge and the glitter on the tops of the berries! And the "chocolate" is adorable!

I LOVE your basket! I made a chocolate covered strawberry like yours not to long ago, but I just did clear glossy accents and then when it was dry I colored it with a brown Sharpie. After I was done, I too, thought I should have made the chocolate higher up :)

This is just brilliant! I love every thing about the basket and the berries. My favorite is how you always sneak in that little bit of glitter. It's always in the perfect part of the overall project. Subtle, but always perfect! This is WONDERFUL!

It would be really clever if a real chocolate was put inside since the strawberries are hollow. It would double as a centerpiece and a cute way to present dessert or a gift.
