Crafty Secret's Design Team Challenge and Linky Party!

Good morning friends! I hope you are all doing well!
I had a fairly quiet weekend.  Friday night we celebrated Cortney's birthday along with her Papa and her Great Grandma. (Who turned 94) Saturday we had a photo shoot for a clothing boutique, which I will share with you soon.  Then on Sunday we relaxed because Cort came down with a cold and was not a happy camper at all.
Today is the first Monday of May and you know what that means?
Yep! Crafty Secret's Design Team Challenge and Linky Party!
I have a tutorial today to show you how I created this little altered tray.
The tray was recycled from embellishments that I had purchased. Off hand I can't remember who they were by.  The pretty flower is part of the Easter Blessings digital image from Crafty Secrets. I colored the flower with Copic markers and the Wink of Stella pen for a bit of sparkle.
So here is the scoop on how I created this little tray.  First, color your image.
Next, get a square punch, I used a 1 x 1 punch.
For this little tray the 1 x 1 worked perfectly.
I made sure when punching that I lined the image up perfectly.  I wanted the flower to "connect."
I painted the tray white. I didn't worry too much about the inside because it was going to be hidden anyway.
I inked the edges of the squares.
I added glossy accents to the tray dividers and sprinkled glitter on top of it.  I just love when a project has a little bit of sparkle!
To give that faux tile look, I added glossy accents to each tile and let them dry.
I didn't want the tiles to be entirely enclosed in each square so I bumped them up a bit with dimensional foam squares.
Once the tiles were dry, I placed them in each square compartment.
I added a little ribbon and posy combination at the bottom.  I need to find a tiny easel to display this in my kitchen.  ;)

Have a great day my friends!

Tombow Blog Hop!

Good morning! I am so excited to be a guest designer for Tombow!
What a great company and talented design team!
So I am thrilled to participate in their blog hop!
For my card today I stamped the background image using JustRite's Quilted Circles stamp. It was stamped with Versamark and embossed in white.  I gave it a water color wash using Tombow's Dual Brush Pens
I cut the image into 3 strips and adhered it to white card stock using Tombow's Extreme Adhesive.
I attached those to the front of the card.  I wanted the 3 panels to line up perfectly so I needed a bit of playing room, I used Tombow's Mono Adhesive Removable.
The sentiment is from Simon Says. I adhered yellow glitter to it using Tombow's Mono Aqua Glue.
I added some sequins (Extreme Adhesive), some colored string, and some coordinating rhinestones. (using Mono Aqua Glue again!)
Do you like prizes? Want to win some adhesive? ;)
In order to enter to win the prize, please comment on all the Design Team’s projects this week! Now it's time to head back to the Tombow Blog!
Here is this week’s Line-up:

Thank you so much Tombow for having me this week! :)

JustRite's May Release-Bicycle Built for Two!

Good morning friends! I am so happy it is Saturday! The sun is shining, the weather is supposed to be a wee bit warmer today, and right now I am enjoying the fact that I am the only one up in the house at the moment!
Today is JustRite's last day of their May release.
This set is called, Bicycle Built For Two.  Who doesn't love a two seater bicycle?
I stamped it in turquoise and added a flower I had left over from another project. It was origninally cut using my Silhouette. The image was cut using the Spellbinder's Resplendant Rectangles die.  I did a bit of Copic air brushing.
I added the sentiment on a hand cut banner. I added ribbon, string, and a few rhinestones.  I also did some hand stitching around the perimeter for a cozy handmade feel.
Here is the entire set. Love this one!
There is an SVG file that goes along with this set as well! So many options....this gal LOVES options!

Be sure to pop around the other blogs for more inspiration using this fun set!

Have a great weekend everyone!

JustRite's May Release Day 3-Cupcake Wishes

Today's card is perfect for today. It is Cortney's 19th birthday. I created this card with her in mind. :) She is definitely a girly girl and wears a lot of pink. Of course I have to laugh because when her classroom celebrates birthday's, the birthday girl or boy selects a color for the class to wear.  She chose yellow.
Yellow? She doesn't even own any yellow clothes! So off I ran to the mall and found a perfectly sunny yellow dress for her. I am going to try and sneak a few pics of her before she heads off to school.
So my birthday card is a blend of her feminine pink and her sunny yellow!
The set is called, Cupcake Wishes and is absolutely adorable.
I stamped the cupcake liner on a separate piece of card stock and cut it out.  I added glossy accents and glitter to it.  I snuck a bit of doily behind it as well.  I added some satin ribbon, string, and a sequin to the center of the bow.  I matted the image using Spellbinder's Diamond Effect's die.  I added a few more sequins, a gingham ribbon, and a flower to the center
Here is the entire set!
Be sure to pay these other ladies a visit!

Happy Birthday to my sweet gal!
Love her to pieces!
This girl is going places....some exciting events are taking shape!

JustRite's May Release-Fern & Fleur Twist Background Stamp!

Today is day 2 of JustRite's May release! I have not one but two cards to share with you!  More bang for your buck! ;) The first card was created using a new background set called, Fleur Twist. I stamped it in Versamark and embossed it in black. I gave it a water color wash using Tim Holtz Distress markers.
The sentiment is from the Doily One set I shared yesterday.
I have been loving the angle cards lately and decided to try my hand at one. :)
The flower is by Silhouette, called 3D Wedding Flower. I added a few silk flowers, ribbon, string, and stick pins to finish it off.

On to my second card! This stamp is a large fern which is just so cool!
I stamped it in pink and blue and then in Versamark. I embossed the top layer in green. I added a frame using the Spellbinder's Matting Basics Die. I adhered glossy accents to the frame and sprinkled it with Clear Coarse glitter from Martha Stewart.
I finished it off with a sentiment stamped, embossed in white on vellum. I added ribbon, string, and a couple of posies.
Isn't this set the coolest!?
And as always, you will want to visit these talented ladies to see how they used these fabulous sets!

Happy Thursday my friends!

JustRite's May Release-Doily One!

Is it really almost May?  Where does the time go?  The best part of a new month is getting to share all of JustRite's new releases!  Today's set is called, Doily One. I am in love with this set!
I decided to create a pretty background using turquoise, pink, and yellow.  I matted it on pink paper. The sentiment is also part of this fun set! I stamped it in Versamark and embossed it in gold. I added strips of gold Washi tape to help the sentiment stand out a bit.
I created another coffee filter flower using Spellbinder's Rose Creations die. I added gold Wink of Stella to the petals.  I added 3 gold pearls to the center and added various layers of string to tie it all together.  (No pun intended!)

Spring Tulips...

Good morning! It is the beginning of a new week! We are supposed to get rain most of the week....spring showers bring May flowers right? I found this darling tulip card at the Silhouette store. It was designed by Daniela Angelova. I gave the tulips a bit of shading with my Spectrum Noir markers. I used a bit of glossy accents and glitter and popped up the top layers of the flowers with dimensional foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives 3L.  The bottom of the card opens to reveal the message inside.

The gardening tools are part of JustRite's Garden Tools stamp set. I shaded it in with Spectrum Noir markers and added chocolate brown Flower Soft to emulate dirt. I added a bit of satin ribbon and a few posies to finish it off.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great week my friends!!!
