Whimsy's July Release!

Good morning!  I am super excited to share Whimsy's newest stamp set for July, Calories Schmalories!  It is honestly the cutest set ever! Of course I love anything having to do with food. ;)
This sweet little cupcake was just asking to be water colored.
So I obliged and used my Zig Clean Color markers.
I fussy cut the cupcake and decided I needed a little flower.  I've been adding flowers to everything lately....even cupcakes! So I used the teeny flower and leaf from the Build-a-Garden die set. I water colored that as well and adhered it to my cupcake.  I water colored the back panel and decided I needed my cupcake to pop a bit so I cut out a circle using the Pierced and Stitched Circle Die.

I stamped the word happy directly on the circle and adhered the cupcake using Crafty Foam tape.  I used the brand new die, Birthday Word and Shadow die. For a finishing touch I added a scattering of gems to the background.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Sloths are Hot Right Now!

Who would have ever thought that sloths would be so trendy right now?
Right after making this card, I had gone to the zoo with Cortney.  Low and Behold there a was a sloth front and center.
They really aren't an attractive creature in real life....interesting, but not attractive. LOL
But this little guy sleeping on the tree branch IS cute. He's part of the new Whimsy Stamp's Sleepy Sloths set.
I stamped him and the branch in Black Memento ink.  I masked him off, so I could use Distress inks for the background.
I splattered the background with a bit of water.  I stamped the stars and sentiment with Versamark ink and embossed it in white.  I peeled the mask off and colored Mr. Sloth with Copic markers. I felt the scene needed a pop of color besides the shades of purple I had going on here.  So the leaves and flowers from the Beacoup stamp    set were perfect.  I stamped some flowers, leaves, and fussy cut them out.  I glued them to the ends of the branch and added glossy accents to them.  As a final touch I added Sparkletz Love Hearts and gems to the centers of the flowers.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today!

Ants at a Picnic (Take 2!)

Good morning!  I am currently counting down the days until Sunday. My hubby and I are heading to Colorado for a week.  I've never been there and I've heard how beautiful it is!

I have a couple more cards to share this week for the Whimsy Stamp June release,so I'm gonna squeeze them in for the next few days. ;)
I used Ants at a Picnic (again) to create this card. I stamped the napkin three times and fussy cut it to create a border.
Everything was colored with Copic markers.  I added glossy accents to the eyes and plates for some dimension. The background was done with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and then splattered with a bit of water.
I used the hearts from the Sparkletz Love collection and paper is from the Pretty Pastel's pack.
The layers were adhered using Crafty Foam Tape.  I am seriously addicted to this stuff!  I can't seem to ever make a flat card!

I'll be back tomorrow with a fun sloth card, so I hope you will pop by!
Have a great day my friends!

Life is Sweet....

Good morning! Michele here with a summery card using Whimsy's new set called, Ants at a Picnic.  It is such a darling set!
I stamped this cute image with black Memento ink and colored it with Copic markers.  I added glossy accents to the seeds.  Once they were dry, I added a white highlight with a gel pen.
I used the new  background stamp, Checkerboard Doodles in Picked Raspberry Distress ink. I used the Zig Zag stitched Rectangle die to cut the image out. I layered it over the background with Crafty Foam tape.  I added a gingham ribbon and a teeny heart from the Sparkletz Love collection.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Thank You Sow Much!

Hi there! I have a new card to share with you today featuring Whimsy Stamp's new Build a Farm die set.   I had so much fun pulling out my scraps and creating this fun scene.  I added a few details with a white gel pen and Stickles.  (Because everyone loves a sparkly pig and duck!)
I did stamp grass before adhering all of the die cut pieces, using the new Create a Scene Beach stamp set.

I popped up some of the elements with Crafty Foam tape and added rhinestones from my stash.
I wanted to keep the scene the focal point, so I used very little color on the "frames."  I used the Zig Zag Stitched rectangle dies and the Shaker Maker Rectangle die

Thank you Sow Much for stopping by today! ;)

Snort Out Loud!

Howdy!
I hope you are having a fantastic week! I feel like I've been catching up on all of my "doctoring" for my kids, myself, and the dogs.  ;)
I've had a bit of time to play in my craft room though and used Whimsy's new stamp set called, Pig Puns 2 for my card.  I stamped the image in black Memento ink and colored it using Copics.  I added Stickles to his cape.  Using my Mini Misti I lined up the sentiment where I wanted it.
I used the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle dies to create multiple layers.  On the smallest rectangle I left it in place and sponged Spun Sugar Distress ink around the edges.  I like the soft pink and I think it helps the image to pop a bit.

I used the Smile Large Word die on white card stock.  I cut 5 of them and stacked them up to create a bit of dimension.  I added glossy accents to the top. I used Sparkletz Crystal Stars as a fun accent. The layers were adhered to this cute polka dot paper from the 6 x 6 Pretty Pastel's paper pack.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
