Bitten by the Bug Blog Hop and Some Vintage Goodies to Give Away!

This week's Bitten By The Bug challenge was to use the pointed tag from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. Mine ended up looking a bit like a house. I love that I could combine my favorite companies for this week's challenge. I used an image from the Halloween Journaling booklets by Crafty Secrets., and Halloween paper from Noel Mignon's 31st kit. (sold out) I used a Martha Stewart punch for the roof and added some black glitter. I also outlined the main image with glitter because a girl can never have enough sparkle! KWIM? I added a lil' bow, a button, and a couple of stick pins to finish it off.
Isn't this a cool little border punch on the "roof?"
And what would a blog hop be without some fun candy to go with it?! Since ya'll know that I LOVE anything shabby or vintage, I thought I'd give some of my absolute favorites away! This is what you will get........ : ) Do you want to see what is inside the bag? Keep scrollin' down.....and you'll see the goodies inside!

This bag is PACKED with vintage finds and pretty notions.......I love the pinks, reds, and creams.....

So what do you have to do to win all of this? Just leave a funny for me......yep....make me laugh. Cuz right now laughing is very much needed...... : )
So where are ya headed next? Regina Easter!!! She always has the CUTEST cards and projects!
I will draw a winner on Wednesday night!

I have a six year old niece who is constantly keeping the family laughing. One afternoon, I picked her up from school and she handed me her back pack. It was heavy, So I asked Abby .. Why is your backpack so heavy ? Very shyly, Abby opens up her closed fist and inside of her tiny little hand is a bunch of rocks. She is collecting them for her fairy garden at home. I almost fell down laughing so hard !!

Good morning, Michele! I LOVE that card! Such a clever thing to make a house out of a tag--only you would think of that! Now I've got to go to Michael's today & get that punch--dang it! I agree with you--everything's gotta sparkle--love the black glitter, it looks fabulous!

I'm too sleepy still to think of something to make you giggle this morning...my alarm didn't go off--AGAIN! Maybe I'll be a smart girl & figure out what's wrong with it today before it happens again tomorrow morning.....!

I would LOVE to win your RAK, I can't find Crafty Secrets anywhere near me!
I will give you a funny...
The other day I was working on a class at my LSS and I had my 4 year old son, Roman with me.
He sits quietly and draws and is very good when we go there.
The store was full of people.
Well he had been working very intently on a picture and was very proud to show it to me. He yelled out, "Look Mommy! I drew Daddy's penis! It's a big one!"
(I let him take a shower with Daddy that morning, needless to say that was the last.)
I was mortified!

Last month when the radiologist was measuring my girth to mark the spots for my radiation I said, "You needed my measurements? Well why didn't you just ask? I'm a 36-24-36!" But that wasn't enough. Oh no, then they had to make 3 tiny pin dot tattoos to mark the exact spots. I am now a tattoo'd woman. May as well buy myself a Harley and a 6-pack of beer. (I don't even drink)

LOVE this Michelle! Especially your use of that punch! This is the 3rd time I've been here and can't for the life of me think of anything funny except something REALLY embarrassing so here goes. Sometimes I'm in the habit of taking my clothes off really fast in the closet (pants and panties together) and leaving them on the closet floor. Well I picked my jeans up quickly and pulled them on again and went shopping. I sat down to try on some shoes and felt something funny in my pants leg. I reached up from the bottom and pulled out my panties! (which I immediately threw into my purse!!!!) Can you imagine if they'd just fallen out while I was walking in the mall? YIKES!! (I can't believe I revealed that!) xxD

Something funny, huh? Well, when my son was in kindergarten he came home one day very close to the beginning of the school year and announced very dramatically, "I've met the girl of my dreams!" Needless to say we were a little skeptical but he was so serious you had to laugh. She didn't turnout to be the girl of his dreams and he thinks it's hilarious now too!

Wow! I absolutely love this card. I too didn't think I needed that Martha punch until I saw this card. Great job! Thanks for the chance to win the fantastic vintage goodies. Hmmm...a funny? I'm a firefighter/paramedic and one time I was taking this cute little old lady to the hospital, and treating her for chest pain. I gave her 4 baby aspirin and told her to chew them up into a paste and swallow. Quite a few minutes later, something falls out of her mouth and she puts is back in. I said "Do you still have those aspirin in your mouth? You can chew those up and swallow them." She says "No I can't. I don't have my teeth in!" LOL. She was so cute!

Ok....now for my funny. I have a co-worker with a three year old who is always making us laugh!

Charli woke up one morning and her voice was scratchy. Mom asked her what was wrong...she said she had frog in her throat...not just any frog...."a red-eyed tree frog" When asked how it got in there she said, "It just jumped in there when I walked by the river." Upon Mom saying she was sorry about it she stated, "That's Ok. It's not your fault Mommy." (Apparently she's been watching too much Go Diego Go!) Ha!

First love the card! I was cleaning out the medicine cabinet and came some kind of vitamin bottle. I turned to my husband, and asked what is this?? Terrified that he would say it was steriods or something, bottle wasn't clearly marked. He excitedly responds, "OH these are help me with my memory!" Then follows up a serious face, "I just can't seem to remember to take them." I just about died laughing! Laughed for over 10 minutes and I'm laughing now!

Hope this made you smile! :-}

Great Work! Love all your work. Sometimes I just need a lift and your blog just does that for me. Need a funny! Well yesterday I was babysitting my grandaughter, Ryleigh who's 4 and as serious as she could be said "Me Me, (thats my name) do you know how to tell a boy dog from a girl dog? I said "No how." She looked at me as serious as can be and said "a boy dog has Balls!" She turned around and ran off. I just laughed and thats what I needed to make my day go better. There are times when grandchildren can really brighten your day and they don't even know it.

Have a great day and keep up the good work.

When the bear comes to take a pea.....

What a sweet card! I love the black glitter. I don't know if you're a cat person, but I thought this was funny. My calico cat apparently didn't like having her kitty litter brand changed, so she kept peeing on the rugs in the bathroom. Now she's banned to the downstairs at night, which she hates. So I go to shut her in one night and can't find her anywhere. Finally, I check the guest room closet, part the clothes and there she is, hiding! She came out looking very sheepish. Guess she thought she could outsmart me! lol!

Thanks for the chance to win. These goodies are terrific! My funny involves my kids--sibling rivalry. Somedays it just gets too much, eh? My boys were about 6 and 8--constantly arguing, or so I thought. We were in the car, both in the back seat, and one hollers at me: "Mom, make him stop. He's looking out MY window!"

Well I just burst out laughing. It's still a joke with us today and they are 17 and 19.

Your card is spooky-sweet! I love all things vintage! Well I don't have a funny per say, but just what my 8year old said to me this morning. I went to wake her up for school this morning and she said to me " Mom, I am really getting tired of you waking me up early in the morning, can you come back later?" I was speechless for a few seconds, then I told her to get up and left the room laughing. Gotta love the 8 yr. old girl attitude. On the other hand my teenagers attitudes I can do without....

This is a fab card! Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog! I think it is funny when my 5 year old twins "try" to make up jokes! One of them just said to me"Why did the zombie go to zombieland? Because he was a zombie!" in a very matter of fact voice.

a laugh?
i work with students with special needs who are developmentally delayed. a co worker each day helped the students hand over hand with brushing their teeth. a student from another classroom started coming in and signing that he wanted to brush his teeth, she helped him each day for a few weeks. one day she asked him who helped him at home with his teeth. he pointed to himself and when she asked why he didn't do it at school, he pointed to her and then made the letter L on his forehead indicating loser! she was stunned then they laughed together and have a bond that continues years later.

Here's a little funny.... (with 4 children there are tons of funnies, I just don't remember them all!)

Quite a few years ago when my daughter was about 4 yrs old we lived in apartments that had tiny back yards divided by concrete walls. One time my daughter and I were outside and my husband walked by the sliding glass door in pants and an undershirt on. My daughter shouts out very loudly... "Daddy's NAKID!" I heard someone start laughing from one of the other yards that was close by. I quickly said, "No, daddy isn't naked, he's in his underwear with pants on!" That didn't stop the laughing. I never did find out which neighbor it was that over-heard us. LOL

This is one fabulous card. I just love your creative and inspiring style. Something funny....My sister came go visit and the family went to eat and she rented car and said it was a Yukon. So after we all ate we drove to Sonic to eat dessert, which was right next door. So my sister and I found a Yukon and I started to open the door.....well of course it wasn't hers. So they all starting laughing and to find out she walked to the place. Oh and she didn't rent a Yukon either, but she thought she did. I seem to be the one they always laugh at. Thanks for a chance at this awesome giveaway. I just love vintage.

Beautiful card! I love the background paper and the punched border on the roof.

I work at a daycare and my granddaughter goes to work with me (she's convinced she works there too). The other day they were playing in the play room and one of the two year olds pooped her pants. My granddaughter kept telling her to go get her pants changed and every time she told her, her voice got louder. The director went over to get the girl and she told Courtney if she was a lawyer that she would be badgering the witness. She looked at the director with a really serious look on her face and said "I'm not a lawyer, I'm the poop police."

something funny, ok. well my grandaughter was at carowinds dancing 2 summers ago at the stage with dora the explorer. dora came down and got her to go on stage and dance. my granddaughter had on a sun dress and was so shy and nervous that she just stood there pulling her dress up over her face, panties and all shining. lucky dora and crew made her feel more at ease and dora starting pulling her dress up too. i know you had to be there to see it and hear the crowd.
