Thank you for this opportunity to win something! I can tell you exactly my favorite costume! The year I had a store "boughten" one! Our family was large and didn't have extra money for such frivoluous items! So, when we went trick-or-treating, it was with a paper bag and whatever I could find to put together. One year I had a pull over witch costume and hat that I bought with money I had saved. I added a broom! Unfortunately, it was thin plastic and ripped before the night was over, but that was OK, for a little while I had a real costume...just like my friends!

My mom made all our costumes growing up. I've been so many things. Its so hard to pick my favorite. I guess I can say it was RAGGEDY ANN. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I dress up every year... still have to have great costumes. If I by something I always add to it to make it unique. Putting this year's together right now.

Thanks for the giveaway, what a fun day. I love your blog.
My favorite Halloween costume...........well many years ago I dressed up as a bubble gum machine. I got a very large clear plastic bag, cut holes in the bottom for my legs then filled it up with balloons for the gumballs. It was fun but very hard to sit in the car on the way to the party LOL

Thank you for the opportunity to win! I think my favorite costume was when I lived in England. My husband had gotten me a fire helmet from one of the local stations. A friend let me borrow the coat, boots and pants to go with it. That coat is heavy! But, so worth it.

Love your blog...I am a follower! My favorite costume I ever wore was the when myself, my husband, his sister, her boyfriend, and our youngest daughter dressed up like a bag of M&M's....of course my daughter was the cutest of them all...but it was fun! Lots of inappropriate jokes when we went to the adult only party!

My Mom made me the coolest cheerleader costume when I was little. It was my fav color at the time, orange. I just loved those pom poms. Keep in mind that I was not the "cheerleader type" I was more the tomboy type type. But it was fun to dress up for a night or two.

Thanks for the chance to win, I just became a follower.

Thanks for the chance to win a great cart. My fave costume is what my mom made for me when I was a kid. It was an almond Hershey's kiss. You would stuff it will newspaper and have a hat with the ribbon hanging down. It was so cute. And all the love my mom put into it meant alot.

My mom always made our costumes (4 of us). My favorite costume was a bunny because it was the first one that wasn't a hand-me-down and I could pick the design. Loved it so much, I wore it to my birthday the next year! Thanks for a chance to win some great prizes.

Forgot to tell you about my favorite Halloween costume I made one year for myself and my hubbie. We were bert and ernie. I made the heads using a large balloon covered with (I don't think they make this any more) Dip N Drape. It's like a wet paper mache. Once it dried, I painted them to look like Bert & Ernies faces. Then just put their large initials on a sweatshirt . It was a real hit and not expensive to do at all.

Again thanks for the opportunity to win the Halloween cartridge.

I didn't win any contests for MY costume but I felt like a real FASHION DIVA. I was probably 10 or 11 so wearing alllll that make-up would've been enough but then my Mom put me in a "fancy" dress with HAT 'n GLOVES 'n PURSE. Oh my, I was glam!!! Oh, and she put black lace around the "eye mask". SO FUN.
Hmmmmm, wonder IF I'll win a contest with it now!!! Thanks for the chance.

My fav was when my friends and I dressed up as the Spice Girls in middle school. We had some wild hair & outfits! Of course I think my son's costume this year will be great, he's going as The Cat in the Hat this year, though my favorite of his so far is when we dressed him up as a Harley biker with the jacket, and bandana! He was super cute! He wasn't even 2 yet, but he was sure the cutest biker I have ever seen. :-)

Thanks so much for the opportunity to win! I just joined as a follower. I guess my favorite costume was when my daughter was three she wanted to be a "rock", she had a rock collection going at the time, for Halloween. We took trash bags and painted them and then added small pebbles, moss, and some dirt and we were each a mountain of rocks for our costumes. It was a blast and we did win most creative which got her a ribbon (and to her that was all that mattered)!!!

It's been a long time since I've worn a costume for Halloween. One of my favorite costumes as a kid was Jem from the cartoon Jem and the Holograms. It was one of the old vinyl costumes that you had to wear over your clothes and tie in the back. It came with one of the plastic masks with a string that held it on your face and the little slits for eyes / nose / mouth that costumes can no longer have.

Thanks for the opportunity to win such lovely prizes!

Most of my costumes growing up were storebought, but I had exactly one costume that was uniquely mine. I took one of my more elaborate Indian outfits, with bright colors and embroidery, and wore it for Halloween. My mom gave me fancy braids, helped me with my make-up (I was a tomboyish 7-year-old, so I needed a LOT of help), and got me some costume jewelery. I was a rani, an Indian queen, and nobody else felt as beautiful as I did that Halloween night. I even won my school's costume contest. :)

I'd have to say my best costume was one I made years ago - a tea bag. The top layer was tulle and the layer closest to my body was just cotton but in between I filled it with moss and left a trail behind me wherever I went. I may not have been a 'best dressed' winner but it sure was hilarious.

What a great giveaway! When I was 10, we went to Church on Halloween, so we couldn't really do the traditional costumes. My dad got really creative, which he never did at the time, and brought home this barrel type of thing. He cut out holes in the sides and sprayed the entire thing silver. He even found some battery operated blinking lights (weren't really popular yet) used reflectors and all kinds of things and made it into a robot! He took a helmet and covered it in aluminum foil and used dryer vent tubing for the arms and legs. Hee! Hee! It was the most uncomfortable thing I had ever worn in my short life, but I know that there wasn't a single other kid at that party who had a costume as cool as I did. I am just so glad that there weren't any storms that night. I would have been struck by lightning for sure. Hee! Hee! Thanks for reminding me of such a fond memory! Thanks for the opportunity to enter your contest -- Halloween is my most favorite holiday! Back in Canada, when I was a kid, it seemed that every costume had to fit over a snowsuit - so I never got to dress as a cute fairy or a princess. Now that I'm an adult (and living further south!), I dress up every year with my boys. I guess I have a lifetime of repressed Halloweens to get out of my system! This year, I just *love* our "Pirates of the Caribbean" themed costumes -- my 4 year old will be Jack Sparrow (complete with matted dreadlocks), my 5 year old will be Will Turner, and I will Elizabeth Swann. I can't wait!

When I was 11, I had my first and only store bought costume. It was a red satin looking jump suit thing with a devil mask. It even had a tail with a point. I was so proud of that costume. We lived in the country and trick or treating was usually neighbors to either side and not a big deal. But that year I had been invited to a real Halloween party and my Mom felt I needed a real costume. By the time she decided to buy one, the devil was the only thing left in my size. She got it at the 'dime store' in the closest town to us.

Thanks for a chance at that awesome giveaway! My favorite costume is when I dressed up as a bubble bath - complete with 4 dozen light pink balloons safety pinned to a light pink sleeveless dress. I wore it all day to work, even drove in it. I strategically pinned the back balloons so none were down my spine but yet they overlapped for complete coverage. I wore a shower cap, shower shoes, and carried a bath brush. We have a costume parade at work (in the front parking lot so maximum embarrassment is achieved) and I won first place. Then I come home to get the kids ready for their neighborhood trick or treating, and as I opened my front door, a neighbor driving by had to back up and give me a REALLY close look. Apparently she thought I was nakid under the balloons. What a hoot.

I'm already a follower. As far as costumes go, when I was growing up, everyone's halloween costume either came out of their closet or a 8 1/2 by 11 box. No one wore the fancy costumes they sell now! Inside the box was a vinyl costume that was more of an apron, and a mask. My favorite one of those was a 'barbie' costume.

My favorite costume I wore was when I was pregnant with our fourth child. In Iowa, sometimes Halloween can be quite cold. My hubby helped me, and we took a card board box and painted it to look like an oven, then we took our son's ultrasound picture and blew it up so it was the window of the oven! On the back of the box we used stencil and painted "bun in the oven." I wore this as I walked with our other three children while they went door to door trick or treating. It also kept me warm! :)

WOW! You know I follow! :-) I was a cat when I was a little girl, and while it wasn't fancy or anything, I LOVED that costume! It made me so happy!!! And that is why I consider it the best one!

Wow, such a perfect giveaway! Wow, as a child or adult, believe it or not I never had a costume. So as far as my children, my son had the cutest bunny costume and my daughter a princess of course...lol

Thanks for the chance to win!

I have had several homemade costumes, because my mother was a very good seamstress. But the best of all was just a month ago we went to a Harvest Fest at a campground and I took decorations for our campsite and decided to wear some for the parade that they did, and I ended up winning!! What a surprise! It was a homemade witch costume that I made to decorate our yard lamppost with. Even more funnier!! Thanks for the great giveaway!!!

My favorite costume was when me and my girlfriends dressed up as the California Raisins. Thanks for the giveaway. I follow your blog but don't have my own. Thanks again!

Hi. Love your site!! Very inspiring.
My only costume I had as a kid was a clown outfit. My aunt brought the material and mom made it. We were 3 little clowns that year. My 2 sisters and me.
