Tin Box Creations for Scraptivity!

I subscribe to a once a month scrapbook kit, Scraptivity! I look forward to my "pizza" box every month filled with goodies! It always includes brand new products from various manufacturers. You get lots of paper, embellishments and a stamp set in a cute tin. (I am totally about the packaging....if it looks cute...gotta have it!) The stamps sets used to be by Gel-a-tins, but now it is by a company called Tin Box Creations. The images were colored in with my Prismas and gamsol. The sentiment and coffee beans were from My Favorite Things. The paper is all SU! except for the scalloped paper, which is Creative Imaginations. (If you haven't noticed I use this paper A LOT!) I did a little sewing, added a little ribbon, distressed, and it was a done deal.
I believe that Memory Maker's was supposed to call the winners by today....I didn't get a call. I have to admit I am disappointed and sad. I knew it was a long shot....but there was a small part of me that dreamed about winning. I have been submitting cards and layouts and have yet to be published. I keep doing it, but it is hard not to get discouraged. Oh well, I guess there is next year.....

Missy B. Stamp!

I bought a few of the Missy B. stamps awhile back and finally had time to play with them. Her stamps are so cute and whimsical! I stamped this cute cow with Palette Noir ink. I colored her face and the flower in with my Copics and added white and black flock to her body. I also added stickles glitter to the flower. The black and white paper are SU! The polka dot paper is by DCWV. I added the sentiment using Karen Foster's snap stamps. I punched a scalloped photo corner using an old McGill punch. I added a brad to it for some added interest. The ribbon was in my stash! ( I have all my ribbon sorted by color in glass jars...but unfortunately, have no idea who the manufacturers are!)

Bitten by the Bug Challenge!

This weeks Bitten by the Bug's Challenge was to use the Animal Kingdom cartridge. I decided on this cute fish. Maybe cuz it is summer and it is so hot....(can't wait to sit in a classroom alllll day with no AC!) The holes behind the fish are created by my Creative Memories bubble punch. I cuttlebugged the background and distressed it. I added a googly eye to the fish and the sentiment was created with Karen Foster's snap stamps. I realized looking at yesterday's post that I am on a pink and blue kick!

Thinking Christmas!

I just bought this Glad Tiding's set from SU! I love the fact that so many people are getting away from the traditional Christmas colors...red/green! I love pink and blue together! I cuttlebugged the background paper. I also had an old Sizzix embossing die that added a "frame" to the pink paper. It is pretty subtle. I then inked up the sentiment in bashful blue and in pixie pink. I cut out Cheers and added a pop dot underneath it. I added some sparkly brads and some snowflake ribbon. I now have a few cards handy for Christmas!

Whipper Snapper!

I bought this Whipper Snapper stamp awhile ago and have been wanting to use it. I just adore their stamps! I stamped him in Pallette Noir, burnt umber. I colored this cute turtle in with my Copics. I added cool grey around his body to add a shadow. I added some stickles to his flower. The paper is from DCWV. It is hard to tell in the picture....cuz for some reason it kept on coming out dark, but I did some sewing as well! I ran upstairs to see who the Friends sentiment was from.....it didn't have the name on the stamp. It was a set of 4, and none of them had a name on them! So for now, it shall remain a mystery! I do know the punches were Creative Memories and Martha Stewart. I distressed, added brads, some ribbon, and voila!

RAK from Michelle Weaver and some pics!

I came home from the Dells and got a package in the mail from Michelle Weaver. Her blog is called: Princess Matilda Loves to Stamp! She enclosed this gorgeous card! I think she used the Twinkling H2O's on the butterfly! It is even more magnificent in person! She also included some beautiful stamped images from Thomas Kinkade! I can't wait to color these! She also had some images of a cute Pug, cuz she knows I have one of these crazy dogs! In addition to all of that, I got some pretty stamps. She is so very generous....Thank you Michelle!

Here are some pics from the Dells! This little guy is just 2 today! Happy Birthday Alex! Can you believe what a little Dare Devil he is? He went down the slides just like the big boys! He has no fear this child! (Don't worry, there was an adult at the bottom to catch him!)

We also blew bubbles...cuz what little kid doesn't love bubbles? (OR a big 10 year old kid?)

Here are some misc. pictures of Kyle in the game room!
This picture was taken at Moose Jaws~ A Dells favorite!

We went pee wee golfing. These 2 had a blast at my expense! (Let's just say I am a sucky golfer!)

I'm Baaaaaack!

It is Wednesday night, and I am totally pooped! We spent way tooo much time in the sun swimming! I love going to Wisconsin Dells every year with my Mom and my Step Dad. The kids have fun swimming, going out to eat, swimming, playing pee wee golf, swimming, playing arcade games, swimming.....you get the picture! My sister met us there for the day today with her 2 little ones. My nephew is turning 2 tomorrow and my niece Katie is 6 weeks old. Alex the 2 year old is such a dare devil! He was going down all the slides! No fear at all! I will post some happy mail I got from Michelle Weaver....tomorrow! As well as some pics of our mini get away!

I am going to post this card quick like cuz it was supposed to be posted Monday.... This was for the challenge over at Bitten by the Bug. You were to use the wheelbarrow from the Walk in my Garden Cartridge. Here is my take on this challenge. I used the "wood" method. (Don't think this is really what this technique is called, but as I said, I am pooped!) I took the white craft ink and then swiped the brown ink over it to give it a faux wood look. I then cut out the wheelbarrow using my Cricut. The DP is from Basic Grey. The sentiment Happy is from Heidi Swapp. The word Fall is from My Favorite Things. The apples are from a SU! set...and at the moment can't remember what the set is called. I colored the apples with my PRismas and Gamsol, then added Crystal lacquer to them. I also sewed on this card and did some distressing. It still needed something, so I added some photo corners and buttons to dress it up a bit! Well, I will be back tomorrow....will post more then...I am going to go to bed and catch some zzzzz's!
