I'm an Aunt again....Blog candy winner...check out my girlfriend's new blog....and last but not least a magical fairy!

I have lots to announce today! First off my sister had her baby girl today! She named her Katherine! She was 6 lbs 12 oz, and 19 inches long. I haven't seen her yet because my sis lives in Wisconsin. I am hoping to get up there in the next few days to take pics! I am so excited to be an aunt again! Now each of us girls has one boy and one girl!

Secondly, The winner of the blog candy, randomly chosen by my ten year old son, was number 30! Jennifer is the lucky girl! Jennifer said, "OK, I'm drooling so much I think my keyboard may short out! Saturday is my birthday - what an awesome present that would be!You do such amazing work, no wonder you are at 10,000!Oh, and your new banner is beautiful! " Send me your snail mail so I can get your goodies out to you!

Next announcement is....There is a new blogger in town! She is friend of mine who happens to live right down the street! She is the sweetest person and she need some blogging friends to welcome her to this amazing cyberworld! Her blog is called, "Dew Stop Inn Designs." Go check her out!

Lastly, here is a card I made for my niece's upcoming 5th birthday! She loves dress up and all the girly things! The stamp is by Whipper Snapper. ( Love these whimsical stamps!) I colored her in with my Copic markers. I added glitter to her wings and flowers. I cut her antennae off and added my own wire antennae! The paper is by Chatterbox. The sentiment is by Paper Trey. I love that I can bend it to make it circular! The ribbon was self adhesive! Gotta love that!

House Mouse Card in the House!

I have been seeing some really cute cards lately using the House Mouse stamps. I decided to dust them off and give them some new life! I colored this cutie in with my Prisma colored pencils and Gamsol. I added flock to his body...minus the feet and tail! Then I applied some pink chalk to his cheeks! He looks pretty satisfied with himself doesn't he? The paper is by Around the Block and Bo Bunny. I got really creative....I'm being a bit sarcastic....and stamped a strawberry on Shrinky Dink paper! I used the Staz On ink in red and green, punched a whole and baked! Love when it shrinks...as a matter of fact I put my oven light on and WATCHED it! (I know, I REALLY need a life!) It's the little things that make me happy! I strung that sweet strawberry on my ribbon. The Amore is from Making Memories.

I just want to start this post off by saying that I got my SU! catalog yesterday, and all I can say is....WOW! I have a list a mile long! I am really loving all the whimsical designs! I can't wait to place my first order!

Anyway, back to the card! I us ed the Doodle This stamp on glossy white, and my Copic Markers. I think I have figured out a good way to help blend the Copics. I touch the blender pen to the other color to "pick up" some of that color. Then color the image. I used Christmas paper for this card....I know crazy right? But it really is Christmas paper from KI Memories. It is double sided and has presents and trees on the other side! I just loved the sherbet like colors! I also did some paper piercing and added that bow that my hubby loves so much! LOL!

Text Boxed! Blog Candy & 101st post!

I got my Text Boxed set from Paper Trey....and I have to admit I was a little stumped at how to use it! I know I had seen all kinds of gorgeous cards out there using this set, which is why I was convinced I HAD to have it! When I opened it up I was suddenly at a loss. I'm still not sure I love this card....maybe cuz I'm scrappin so much right now and can't do two things at once! (Geesh, I sound like a man!) Anyway,

I pulled out some Wild Asparagus paper and Creative Imaginations paper. I inked the stamp with old olive, and the little flowers in Bravo Burgandy. I added a scalloped border at the bottom using my Martha Stewart punch. I added some rhinestones to the scallops and flowers. The sentiment is also from Paper Trey. I am on a, cut the sentiment up, kick! I used some sheer organdy ribbon left over from my sister's wedding 3 years ago!

Hey, guess what else? I reached 10, 000 hits AND today is my 101st post! WOW! Can you believe it? I know I never thought a single soul would ever care about the cards I made....and all of you wonderful ladies have proved me wrong! What a great feeling that is! Thanks for all the encouragement and kind words....they really mean a lot! OK, OK, enough of that....what does this mean? What else....BLOG CANDY!!! I will post it tomorrow!!! Birthday card!

I decided to make another tent topper card! I just think they are the cutest! I had stamped some images from my MIL's Pretty Princess SU! set on glossy white. I colored in the birthday cake in with my Copic markers. I used my Marvy punches and some Doodlebug sequins for the "topper." I Cuttlebugged the background paper with the birthday template. I sewed the paper without thread to give it the pierced look without all the work!!! The happy birthday sentiment is by Savvystamps.

My kids had a great time in Michigan! They swam and rode the tube behind the boat....or as Cortney likes to call it...."big bump!" And yes, that is me in the tube with Cortney!
