The No Line Coloring Trend Continues! Macaroons!

Good morning and happy Monday to you!
I am literally obsessed right now with no line coloring.  I chose this set from Jane's Doodles, Tea Time.  I adore the macaroons in this set.  I did lots of masking and used my mini misti to line them up.
I did change my coloring medium to Prisma Colored Pencils.  I was at a charity crop a few weeks ago and wanted to pack light.  So all I brought were stamps and Prisma pencils.  When I got home I assembled my colored images into a finished card. Do you see the little stars around the image? That was due to my Mini Misti being dirty with black ink and me smudging the background with specks of black.  So I had to disguise it.  No way was I throwing all of my hard work away!  So I added more black specks with a Sharpie and glued tiny gold stars on.  Distraction works every time! HA!  I tied a long silk ribbon from the Stamp Simply store and added a mini pink flower from Queen and Company
Thank you all for stopping by! Have a great day!

Eskimo Kisses!

Happy Tuesday to you!
I love making ornaments to give away to friends and family (and some to keep)! I pulled out an old set from Crafty Secrets and stamped the image in grey on kraft card stock.  I wanted to try my hand at "no line" coloring.  (Not sure I really succeeded).  I used my Prisma Colored Pencils.
I cut the image out with a die from Tattered Rose.  I threaded a bit of string through it. I tied some silk ribbon from the Stamp Simply Store, with a jingle bell, and adhered it to the corner of the circle.  I dipped the edges of my circles in glue and added some glittery flakes.

This week is spirit week at school! Yesterday we wore our holiday hats and today is crazy sock day!
I love this time of year when the kids are excited and anticipating Christmas!  I think I appreciate it even more now that my own kids are grown. :)
My own kiddos come home next week for the holidays too.....so all is good in my world!
Have a wonderful day my friends!

You Make Me Smile!

Good morning friends!
I hope you are all having a fun and relaxing Labor Day weekend!
I am up on the SRM Blog today with TWO cards to share! (Don't faint! I know it doesn't happen often!) ;) I used a background stamp that I have NO idea who it is made by, so if it looks familiar to you, please let me know the manufacturer! I stamped in Versamark and embossed it in white.  I used my Zig Clean Color Markers to give it a wash of color.  The first card was done in cool colors, the second in warmer colors.
I cut flowers using my Silhouette and water color paper.  I colored those using my Zig Markers as well. I used SRM's Thinking of You Sentiment.  I added silk ribbon from the Stamp Simply Store, and a few sequins.
My girl came home for the weekend and we've had so much fun visiting with her.  We took her to the zoo and she got to swim in our pool!  We take her back today.....and it's always bitter sweet.  A piece of my heart stays with her each time I drop her off.
Thank you for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day!

Love Birds!

Created by Michele Kovack
Good morning!  I am up on the Scrapbook Adhesives blog with this little number.   I am currently sitting here with toothpicks propping up my eyes! LOL!  I am officially back at school and getting up early in the mornings again is a bit difficult for me.  ;)
I used my Silhouette to cut this scene out as well as the scalloped edged circle.  I water colored everything, even the background pieces.  I used Crafty Foam Tape in between the layers to add depth.
I also used the Dodz-mini to adhere the sequins and keep the ends of my ribbon in place.  (Which by the way, is from the Stamp Simply store).

I am off with a big cup of coffee in tow this morning!
Thanks for stopping by today!

I used a stamp set by JustRite and water colored it using my Zig Markers. I layered everything using Crafty Foam tape and DODZ™. (My absolute favorite "go to" products!)
The twine is from The Stamp Simply store. (My other favorite place to get ribbon and twine!)

Getting Back in The Swing of Things!

Created by Michele Kovack
Good morning!
Did you miss me? ;)
I am home now for the summer, and I am hoping to use this time to get caught up
on the many things that need to be completed in my house. (We just redid our hardwood floors, updated the kitchen etc)
I am also hoping to get back to a somewhat normal blogging and crafting schedule.
I have a card today that I actually made about a month ago before I left the JustRite Design team.
It is one of their new sets called, Large Oval Celebration.
I colored the image with Copics in shades of pale pinks, greens, and blues.  I stamped the frame in a light aqua color and die cut the ovals.
I added pretty silk ribbon from the Stamp Simply store as a finishing touch.

I am off to IKEA with my son today.  He wants a desk in his room for painting War Hammer models. (He's got a bit of crafty blood in him!) ;)
It is nice being able to spend some one on one time with him.
Thank you for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day!

Celebrate Prom!

Good morning!  Tonight is Cort's very last prom.....I know I will be crying a bucket of tears.  Her journey has taken a new direction and all that she has known has changed.  The change has been good, but nevertheless, a change.  It is definitely bitter sweet.
In honor of Cort's last prom, how about a pretty lil' dress box today?
The dress was cut out using my Silhouette.
Created by Michele Kovack
I stamped the dress with JustRite's new, Create a Flower Garden     stamp.  It was stamped with Versamark and embossed in white.  I sponged Tim Holtz inks around the dress panel in pink, orange, and yellow.  I splattered a bit of water over it and colored in the flowers with my Zig Watercolor Markers. I added a sentiment from SRM Stickers, and tied twine from the Stamp Simply Store.

Even though prom is actually tonight, I always take Cortney's individual pictures a couple of weeks in advance.  This allows me to concentrate on taking pictures of her with her friends.
My sweet happy girl......
Prom 2016!

Thank you for stopping by today!

JustRite's New Release- Multi-step Pine Trees!

Good morning friends!  I know I've been doing a poor job keeping up with this blog of mine!  This house has just been such a time consuming task!  And in a way, I am really enjoying it!  We ordered new counter tops yesterday and picked out tile for our kitchen's back splash. It won't be installed for a few weeks, but I am excited nonetheless.  ;)

My crafty time has been quite limited, but I did manage to squeak out a few cards for JustRite's new release.  Today's set is the Multi-step Pine Trees with coordinating dies. I stamped the trees in varying shades of green, from light to dark.  I love the depth it creates!
Created by Michele Kovack
The background was done with water colors.  Once my shades of blue were dry I splattered some white paint to represent my stars.  The moon comes with the set and it was stamped, cut out, and given a coat of glossy accents and glitter. I hand cut some rolling hills and added glitter to those as well. The sentiment is part of JustRite's Best Wishes Sentiment Dies. I added glossy accents and glitter to it.  I added a strip of rainbow rhinestones to help ground my sentiment.  As a finishing touch I tied coordinating silk ribbon from the Stamp Simply store.

Thank you for putting up with my neglectfulness! ;)
I am hoping very soon to get back on a more regular schedule.

Tim Holtz Distress Markers....

Good morning everyone!
I recently jumped on the Tim Holtz bandwagon and got a couple of sets of his Distress Crayons.  I don't really know what I am doing yet to be quite honest, so this card was a bit of an experiment.  I used a stencil and sort of "smooshed" the white crayon through.  Once the crayon was set, I inked around it in shades of pink, green, and blue.  It gives it an interesting texture I think.
Created by Michele Kovack
I used several JustRite dies to create the focal point.  Flowers, leaves, and a circle doily.....plus an SRM sentiment sticker. Oh! and also a pretty silk flower from the Stamp Simply store!  My favorite adhesive to adhere all of the pieces? Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L DODZ™ Medium.  So much better than dealing with messy glue!
I also used their crafty foam tape to give a little lift off on the back panel.

Oh! And did I mention this little card of mine is up on the Scrapbook Adhesives blog today?

Easter Egg!

Created by Michele Kovack
Good morning!
I am up on the SRM Blog today with a fun Easter Egg shaped card! I cut the egg shape out using my Silhouette.I used JustRite's Honeycomb background stamp and embossed it in white.  I gave it color using Tim Holtz inks. The sentiment is part of SRM's Spring Sentiment collection and was mounted on an oval die.  I wanted to "frame" it, so I created a cluster of flowers using JustRite's Floral Trio dies.  I also added Tonic's white dimensional paint to the flowers' centers.  The pretty silk ribbon is from the Stamp Simply store.

I am so excited that both my kiddos are coming home for the weekend! It will be so nice to have a full house for a few days!
Have a lovely day!
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit!

Hopping into Easter!

Created by Michele Kovack
Good morning! I am up on the SRM Blog today with a fun little Easter card to share! I found this cute bunny over at the Silhouette Store. I colored each piece with Copic markers.  I then gave him a thin coating of glossy accents and sprinkled glitter.  I colored a tag with several shades of green to create the grass.  I sponged a bit of blue for the sky.  I adhered the tag to various strips of patterned paper.
Created by Michele Kovack
I added pretty silk ribbon to the top of my tag from the Stamp Simply store.  As a final touch I added the hippity hoppity sticker from SRM's Spring Sentiment collection.

Spring Has Arrived!

Created by Michele Kovack
Good morning!  I am up on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog with a spring egg shaped card!
I used multiple adhesives to complete my project as well as some other fun items from some of my other favorite companies! The egg shape was cut using my Silhouette. The background stamp is by JustRite called Honeycomb.  It was embossed in white and given a bit of color using Tim Holtz inks.  I added pretty silk ribbon from the Stamp Simply store and a sentiment from SRM Stickers
spring egg
For a finishing touch, I added a couple of posies, tiny eggs, and a few sequins.
spring egg two
I successfully stripped all of the wall paper in Cort's room this week.  I ordered her bedding and am planning on painting her room over the weekend.  It feels good to clean and spruce up her bedroom! She will be so surprised when she comes home over Easter.. ;)
We are heading out to see her on Sunday for lunch.
I can't wait to hug and kiss my girl!
She is doing really well....staying very busy and making lots of new friends!
I get a run down every day I call.  They are so great about taking pictures throughout the day too.
They are even talking about having her join the swim team there! Then she will be able to participate in special olympics next spring.
She is adjusting well.
If I know she is happy, then I am happy.
:)

Have a wonderful Thursday!

White With a POP of color!

Created by Michele Kovack
Good morning!
I have another card to share with you using new dies from JustRite!
I stamped the sentiment on a die cut circle that was inked in a pale blue. I wanted to frame the sentiment so I used JustRite's new Garden Circle's die.  I used my Zig Clean Brush markers to give it a pretty pink and orange color.  I gave it a coat of glossy accents for a bit of shine.

Created by Michele Kovack
My cards never seem complete until I've added a flower and some ribbon somewhere.  I used JustRite's new Floral Trio die.  I colored each layer with my Zig markers and then adhered them together.  I added some silk ribbon from the Stamp Simply Store.  I glued a few sequins on and a black heart coated with glossy accents.
Created by Michel Kovack
I am spending the weekend cleaning out closets and purging a bit in my house.
I find that keeping busy helps me a lot.  And after being in my house for the past 24 years, I've accumulated a lot of "stuff."
Have a wonderful weekend my friends!

Tried and True Color Combo!

Created by Michele Kovack
Good morning!  Do you have a tried and true color combo that you seem to revisit over and over again?  When I am in a creative rut, I tend to lean towards colors I am most comfortable with.
One of them is pink and black.
Totally classic.
With a pop of gold.
Created by Michele Kovack
I used JustRite's new  Meadow Circles set. I stamped it in black and gave it a coat of glossy accents.  I love the new die from JustRite called, Elegant Garden Label. It was a perfect piece to place behind the main image.  I added some pretty silk ribbon from the Stamp Simply store.

Take Three! And a Recap!

Created by Michele Kovack
Good morning!
I have my last card to share with you that uses the same layout, same dies, and same Silhouette cut.
Yesterday's version was black and white with a pop of pink. Today, I am back with a softer, pastel version. The Silhouette cut was used as a stencil.  I sponged around it with Tim Holtz inks.
Created by Michele Kovack
I used these beautiful flower dies from JustRite and gave them life with my Prima Water color pencils. I added the same sentiment from Stamp Simply's Birthday Blessings, and some of their pretty silk ribbon as well. The sentiment was embossed in gold on a piece of acetate.  I cut the words apart, so I could stagger them on the card.

Here is a recap of the 3 cards.
