I am in love with this set, Summer Fun set from Sweet 'n Sassy. When I saw this pitcher of lemonade I knew that was the first stamp I HAD to use! It is the epitome of summer. I colored it in with my Copics and added Crystal Effects. I cut the pitcher out and added a small piece of ribbon with a couple of Doodlebug Posies. The paper is Junkitz. The sentiment is from the Summer Sentiments set.
Well, I get to meet my new 5th graders today. I only have them for a couple of hours and then I have staff meetings the rest of the day. I have a fairly large group this year....27 kids! I am just like a kid because I always get nervous the first day!
I am going to see the Chicago White Sox on Saturday! I'm gonna get me some cold beer and a hot dog! (Of course the weatherman is calling for rain.....)
And Lastly, PLEASE vote at the JustRite blog for me! I would really, really, really appreciate your vote! Thanks sooooooo much!!!!
Have a great weekend!
My thoughts and ideas for cardmaking and an occasional altered project!

JustRite Contest!
JustRite Stamp Company is holding a contest! I need your votes! I would be EXTREMELY grateful if you clicked HERE to vote for me! I would be in your debt forever! I will wash your car for a month! Ok not really, but it was worth a shot! :) (Unless you want to drive it here then I really would wash it!) Thank you!
I have been creating like crazy! I have many projects posted at SCS and some you have already seen here. This first card was created because I have puppies on the brain! (mmmmmm wonder why?) I used DCWV paper and their chipboard paw print! Easy Peasy! Maybe I should send this card to myself!? : )
This second card I am adding to my Christmas card stash! I Cuttlebugged the vellum and used my Spellbinder's Nestabilities for the circles. I used a little snowman stamp by Inkadinkado.
Please vote for me! Please? Pretty please? With a cherry on top?

Funny Boy!
Don't call the authorities on me! This little guy is drinking sparkling grape juice! My nephew, Alex just insisted on drinking his in the same glass as the rest of us at Christmas dinner! He is quite a character! (Hi Lisa and Alex! Yes, Auntie Chele is posting pics of you again! : )
I used scraps from what is left of my dwindling Picnic Basket kit from Noel Mignon's store! I also used some vintage book paper (Kind of a new obsession with me!) and notebook paper. The DP is October Afternoon ( I LOVE this paper!). The tags and tickets are from Noel's Getaway kit. (Currently sold out!) I added some twine and a title using Thickers.
Off to school today! Back to the daily grind! It is so hard to say goodbye to summer.......
Have a great day everyone!

Cappuccino!
This week's Brainwave Challenge over at Treehouse Stamps was to use these colors: Vanilla, pink, and chocolate chip. I decided to give you a glimpse of Treehouse's next release coming Sept. 1st! I adore this set, because I LOVE coffee! I stamped the cup and colored it in using my Copics. I added brown liquid applique to the coffee part but didn't heat it because I wanted it to stay shiny. I stamped the coffee cup again on a separate sheet of paper and used white liquid applique for the coffee part. I did heat that up and got it fairly puffy. I cut that little bit of "foam" out and glued it to the brown, unheated liquid applique. I just transformed my regular 'ole cup of joe, into cappuccino!
I stamped the "steam" and added white liquid applique and heat set it. I added a few rhinestones to the "steam." I also stamped a couple of coffee beans and colored those in using my Copics too. I added Crystal Effects to them and then cut them out. I nestled those on the side of the cup. The DP is Making Memories, Noteworthy collection.

15 Years
Do you know who Becky Fleck is? She is the scrapbooking guru of sketches! Does Page Maps ring a bell? An awesome book of scrapbook sketches! Noel Mignon contacted Becky Fleck who was kind enough to create a sketch just for our DT! You can see the sketch HERE! I love sketches because for me that is the most difficult part of creating a LO. These pics are from my 15th wedding anniversary. I used Noel's Getaway Kit. (Currently sold out! But check out her other kits....they are always jam packed with stuff!) I was pleased with this page and it actually came together pretty quickly! Check out Noel's Challenge Blog and see what the other gals came up with!
Have a great Tuesday!

Sarah Kay
I finally was able to ink up my Sarah Kay stamps! I ordered them from Sweet 'n Sassy awhile ago and just never got a chance to create with them. I colored the image with my Copics. I started with a layer of a very pale brown and then added my color. I wanted it to look vintage and not too bright. The pale brown muted the top colors a bit. I also used my airbrush for the background and my Nestibilities. The paper is K & Company. I added a vintage flower, button, floss, and a stick pin.
My last 3 days of summer......I start work on Thursday...ugh! I know, I know, I've had the whole summer off! I shouldn't be complaining! I think it is just the transition from having no schedule to having a crazy, hectic schedule! Once I get in the swing of things, it will be like I never left!
