Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger!

Guess who made top 5 for last week's Tuesday Trigger? I'll give you one guess! I was so darn excited to see my name at the top of the list!

Now, I have to admit this week's Tuesday Trigger was a bit of a "stumper" for me. I wasn't sure what I wanted to take from it and incorporate into my card. I loved the idea of the little table and resting something on it. And, I always love making thank you cards......to me they are the most important of all cards! I used some of the colors, but also used a few additional colors as well. So without further delay, here is my altered brown bag/gift card holder/thank you card! (Say that 15 times fast!; ) I put a Dunkin Donuts gift card inside.
I used this darling little coffee cup cut from the I Love You a Latte cartridge. I added liquid applique to create a sort of froth....because it is cappuccino! ; ) I paper punched a circle out of text paper and folded it in half to create a sort of "table" for my cup. I framed it with a Maya Road chipboard that had been painted white, spritzed with pink Shimmerz, glossy accents and glitter applied. The tag is cut from the Sentimental's cartridge and the sentiment is by Papertrey Ink. The twine, which I LOVE, is from Pink Paislee.
Maybe I deviated from the Trigger too much......but I am pleased with how my little gift card holder turned out!

Off to see my teacher friends today for a little pool party!
Have a great day and be sure to stop by tomorrow for a little giveaway!!!!

Today is day 2 of JustRite's CHA releases! Today's set includes these darling snowman and Santa images! This set is called Bizzard Bunch and it is so much fun to color!

I used Copic Markers to color my image and several Spellbinder's ovals to cut the image out. I used some K & Company papers, some seam binding, and a pretty vintage button. (It is the clear little ball.....with all the pretty facets!)
Oh......and did I mention glitter? Yep.....glitter was added to his hat, beard, and cuffs. Sorry......couldn't resist! ; )

New Release by JustRite! Christmas Trimmings!

Good morning to you! JustRite has a whole new slew of things coming out for Christmas AND Halloween! For the next week, I will have lots to share with you! The first set is called, Christmas Trimmings. It is such a pretty set and the minute I saw it, I thought of doors and iron gates decorated with wreathes and swags during the season.

I decided to create an iron gate using my Ornamental Iron cartridge and my Cricut Expression. It was cut at 5" and I used the shadow and layer functions. The tag was cut using the Sentimental's cartridge at 1 1/4". The wreath and swag were colored with Copic Markers, cut out, and glossy accents applied. The red "berries" were actually cream colored pearls that I made red by coloring them with the Copic marker.
I backed the wreath with a Martha Stewart doily. I cut out the center so the gate would peek through. I added a bit of gold cording from SU! and a Prima flower. The "snow" was created with texture paste and glitter.

Be sure to see what the rest of the DT did with this fabulous new set!

Crafty Secret's Childhood Challenge!

Good morning and happy Monday to you! I've had a super busy weekend preparing and then hosting Kyle's 8th grade graduation party. Fortunately, Mother Nature took pity on us and gave us warm temps and lots of sunshine! The kids got to swim and the adults got to enjoy watching them! : )

Today is the day that the Crafty Secret's DT gals are participating in a childhood challenge. Easy enough! I found this old picture of Cortney when she was about 5 or 6 years old riding on the rocking horse. I was dabbling in photography at the time and loved experimenting with my kids. This was a successful photo shoot! I took a dollar frame, painted it cream and then sanded parts of it away. I also added a bit of brown ink to the edges. Sandy, the owner of Crafty Secrets has a brand new digital CD with her vintage paper and I have to tell you.....I LOVE it! I love that I can print what I want and in any size I want. So if I were to paper piece clothing on one of the stamp sets, the pattern can be on a smaller scale! All the paper used here is from the CD. The stamp sets I used for my frame are Artsy Banners, Photo Studio, and Down on the Farm.
The horse was colored with Copic Markers and cut out. I added glossy accents to him to make him a bit thicker and more substantial. I glued him to a narrow Popsicle stick that I covered in paper. I placed that in a spool that had been painted and distressed. I used a bit of the Artsy Banner to wrap the top of the spool. It kind of reminds me of the denim kerchiefs the cowboys might wear!

Be sure to see the fabulous projects the other DT gals have for you today!

Thank you so much for stopping by my friends! Have a great day! : )
