Good morning to you! I have lots to do on my "To Do" list today! So have to get a move on quickly! Only two weeks before school starts and I haven't even started doing anything in my classroom.....eeeek!
I have a little scalloped card to share with you today using the Cute Critter's set from Cutting Cafe'. A few of my girlfriends' daughters were on a softball team called the "Ladybugs," so this card would be perfect for them! I colored the little lady with Copics and used Crystal lacquer over the image. The circles were cut out using my Spellbinder's circle dies. I also did a bit of airbrushing! The edges were inked up using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap and then placed on foam squares for dimension. The papers are by October Afternoon and Papertrey Ink.
I added a mini paperclip, ribbon, and stick pin to finish it off!
My thoughts and ideas for cardmaking and an occasional altered project!

Lucky!
I honestly feel lucky. I am lucky to have the family that was given to me. Not that we are without drama.....believe me there is plenty, but they are mine and I love them. I am lucky to have a great group of friends who support me 100%. They are wonderful caring people and I love hanging out with them! I feel lucky to have a job and work with fantastic teachers. They are passionate about what they do and care immensely about one another. Me included. I am lucky to have the ability to make things out of stamps and cardstock. It has brought me so much pleasure to create pretty things. And lastly, I am lucky to have all of you. My blog friends. I have been fortunate enough to meet some of you "live" at CHA.......but many of you I will never get to meet face to face. It doesn't matter.......because through these last few years I have gotten to know many of you through your blog posts, comments you've left here, and private e-mails. I can't tell you how much those mean to me. Your visits here.....mean a lot to me. So thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to drop by......leave a sweet comment....or just "check-in." I include all of you when I count my blessings! : )
I have a Crafty Secret's card to share with you today. The sentiment is for all of you......" I am glad to have you are in my life!" : ) This sentiment is from the Couple of Cutie's stamp set. I used an image from the Crafty Secret's Journaling Booklet. My papers are by Papertrey Ink, the lollipop flower is by Prima. I added my own leaves cut from burlap and a Tessa Ann button. I also added some scrunched seam binding.

Ocean Inspired Candy Bags!
To show you how utterly crazy I am.......a few months back I found seashell candy and bought it because I knew I could make goodie bags using JustRite's By the Sea Borders and Center's set. Now, you ask, do I have recipients for this candy? Nope. Just thought it was cool to have seashell candy to go along with a seashell stamp set. Crazy. I know.
The images were colored using Prisma colored pencils and Gamsol. I added real sand to the image and covered the shells with Crystal Effects. I used my Spellbinder's oval Nestie to cut the image out. The edges were distressed a bit and layered on a scalloped oval from Spellbinders also. The paper is by Basic Grey, the bags by Papertrey Ink, and the rope by SU!
I also added some various pearls to the image, as well as the bag itself.

My LO Revamped!
This week's challenge over at Noel Mignon was to take one of our old LO's and redo it. Believe me....I had lots of old LO's that were pretty darn bad! Remember stickers? Lots of stickers? Or cutting your pics into weird shapes? Yep. I have quite a few books like that. But since many of those pics were still on film and not digital I couldn't go quite that far back! I chose a LO from 3 short years ago. It is hard to believe how much my style has evolved in such a short time.
So here is my original, blah LO! No layers! GASP! It is so plain and flat looking to me now.
Here are the exact same photos but in a totally revamped LO! I used Glimmer Mist and Noel's Office Party kit. (There are 5 left BTW!) The big differences? Layers, layers, layers, and clusters of embellishments instead of a randomly placed sticker here and there.

Be sure to check out the other DT gals LO's, on the Challenge Blog, that have been revamped! Maybe you will be inspired to pull out some of your old albums and play along with us this week!
Have a great day!!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
