JustRite-Pansies in Spring

Good morning and happy Saturday to you!
It has been so nice to get out of the winter doldrums and start thinking spring with this month's JustRite release.
Today's set is called, Pansies in Spring.
It's perfect.
It also has an SVG to go with it.
I colored the flowers in using Copic markers.  I added rhinestones to the centers of each flower. The card itself was cut using my Silhouette. It is called Filigree Frame. I stamped the sentiment in the center in black.  I added glossy accents to the lacy layer and sprinkled it with glitter. I added a bit of silk ribbon, string, and one more rhinestone to finish it off.
Here is the entire set along with the SVG cut below.
And as always, be sure to stop by the other ladies' blogs for more fabulous projects!

JustRite-Ribbons, Tape, and Lace Oh My!

I have another fabulous set by JustRite again today! This set is called, Ribbons, Tapes, and Lace.  It reminds me a bit of the Washi tape that is so hot right now.
I was in the mood for rainbow, so went with it.
I stamped the image 5 times in various shades of Papertrey Inks. I added rhinestones to the centers of the designs for added interest.
I was fortunate to win a huge swag bag  from Favecrafts after CHA and inside were these sticky rhinestone sheets. They are by David Tutera.  I decided to use it as my backdrop to my image. And is if I didn't have enough rhinestones already, I added a few more! I also added a bit of colored string....and yes, you guessed it, another rhinestone in the center!
Here is the entire set! :)
Be sure to stop at the other gals' blogs!

JustRite's Cascading Ferns and Owl Be There!

Don't faint, but I have TWO cards to share with you! JustRite has a beautiful new background set designed by Becca Feekin called Cascading Ferns. I stamped it on vellum and cut them into banner shapes.  I stamped another Becca designed set onto the blue doily with Versamark and heat embossed it in white. The flowers were cut using a Spellbinder's Rose Creations die and cupcake liners. I added a bit of ribbon and a doily to finish the card.
Here is the background set I used. :)
The second set was designed by Samantha Walker called, Owl Be There. It is just a darling set.  Because really, who doesn't love owls? I stamped it on watercolor paper and used my Tim Holtz Distress Markers to color it in.  I added a bit of Flower Soft to the leaves, some string and a rhinestone.
There is such a great variety of images here! And JustRite is also offering SVG cuts to go along with this set! Super cool!
Be sure to stop by the other blogs for more ideas using these fun sets!

JustRite's March Release- Stitched Flower Vintage Tags

It's the most wonderful time of the month! JustRite's new releases!
I love opening up those brand new stamps and seeing what craftiness comes my way!
Today's set is absolutely adorable, so much fun to color, AND now has SVG cuts to go along with it!
What??!!!
Yep!
Awesome right?
The set is called, Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags.
I found these cute kraft polka dot boxes in the dollar section at Target.
I cut the flowers and leaves using my Silhouette and then stamped them in Versamark.  They were embossed in white and given come vibrant color using my Inktense Pencils.
I added some hot pink raffia, string, and a hand cut banner.
Such a fun way to welcome spring....that is certainly long overdue. ;)
Here is the set in its entirety.
Love.
And a looky at the SVG cuts.  And the best part? They are only 99 cents!

Hello Friend...

My son has college night at his school this week.  It is almost surreal to me that he could possibly be old enough to be thinking college in a little over a year.  How in the heck did that happen?
I know us moms all go through that.  The time thing.
We all look at our children and ask, "Weren't they toddlers just a minute ago?"
I blinked, looked up, and now have a soon to be 19 year old, and a 17 year old.
I am trying to enjoy each stage as they come...because soon enough my house will be empty.  I will become an "empty nester." Yeeeeesh. scary stuff I tell ya!
I am glad I have this little hobby...it keeps me sane. It is my one constant in life. I love playing and experimenting.  I am loving these stencils and embossed this one in white. I created a satin flower and a sentiment using my Dymo Label Maker.  I made it for no particular reason. It was just for fun. :)
And just because I think she is so dang adorable......
Enjoy your Tuesday! Thank you for stopping here....I know you are all busy, so I really do appreciate your visits!

Crafty Secret's Design Team Challenge and Linky Party!

Good morning and welcome to a brand new month!
Even though we got another 6 inches of snow this weekend, the challenge was to make something spring like.
I had to go to my warmer, snow free, happy place!
I loved this stained glass window from the Easter Blessings     digital collection.
I used a combination of acetate and card stock.  It was very hard to photograph, but in person it is very dimensional and looks just like a stained glass window!
This is what I did to create this 3D effect. :)
I printed the image directly on acetate.  I didn't want the ink to smear so I sprinkled it with clear embossing powder.
Yep, just dump it directly on top.
Heat set it with a heat gun.
Pull out the Copic colors you want and color on the back side that is not embossed. I used my little magnet thingys to hold it down, so I could see where I was coloring.
I printed the image a second time on card stock and cut out the windows using an Xacto knife.
I trimmed the acetate windows leaving a bit on the side so I would have somewhere to glue it.
I glued it behind the card stock.  I took my Sakura glue pen and outlined the perimeter and sprinkled silver glitter.
I colored the pieces I had cut out.  Not all that neatly, because it only serves to pop the color a bit, you won't really see if you went out of the lines a bit.
I lined up the card stock pieces on my card and adhered them.
I took my acetate/card stock piece and placed dimensional circles behind it. I lined it up directly above my cardstock windows.  It gives it a vibrant, cool dimensional look!
I tried numerous times to capture the look....I did my best. ;)
I added a few fun details to finish off the card.
I hope this made sense.....because I have a tendency to ramble at times.  If you have any questions please feel free to ask!
And be sure to pop on over to the other gal's blogs for more inspiration!
