Brr!

Good morning friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! It seems that as fast as it came this year, it also was over in the blink of an eye. Yesterday I spent the day cleaning and organizing.  I haven't gotten in my craft room in quite a bit of time.  I have bee enjoying the time I have spending it with family.  Sometimes the crafting just has to take a back seat.
Since I haven't made anything new that I can show you, I thought I'd pull out a layout I did for last year's issue of Cricut magazine.  It uses the Winter Woodland and Winter Lace cartridges.
I used a Tattered Angels stencil to create the swirls in the background.  I then sprayed it with a spray adhesive and quickly sprinkled it with silver glitter.
The snowflakes were done with Winter Lace. I stacked them and added a white pom pom to the center of each.
The bird and title were cut using the Winter Woodland cartridge
Lots of glitter.......

Here is a quick recap of my Christmas......
Family, presents, good food, laughs....... :)
As always, thank you for taking the time to pay me a visit.
I appreciate it so very much!

Snow Day.......NOT!

Last year about this time, we had about 2o inches of snow dumped on us. The only people who like that much snow, are little people. My son was one of them. While he was supposed to help me shovel our way out of the driveway, he decided it was waaaaaay more fun to build a snow fort and crawl inside of it! The fort had to be about 8 feet high! It was good to see my teen have some good old fashioned fun in the snow! This LO was published in the December of Cricut Magazine
I coffee stained some metal rimmed tags and incorporated them with snowflakes cut from the Winter Woodland.  I wanted to incorporate a subtle vintage feel to the page.
The snowman and title were cut using the Winter Frolic cartridge.  I added red Flower Soft to his earmuffs and mittens for a cozy warm feel.  I glittered him up and added tiny buttons to his eyes.
This winter has been so mild in comparison to last year.  But I am not complaining one bit! The mild temps and lack of snow has made this winter fly by!  Soon spring will be here!
Have a wonderful day my friends!
