Exciting News!!!

Before I share my project today with you, I've been bursting at the seams to share some exciting news! I have been selected to be a part of Northridge Publishing's Cricut Magazine Design Team! I am literally over the moon about it! It is so exciting to work with such talented ladies! It is always such a thrill to see my projects in print! So thank you so much for letting me share this news with you! : D

My project today is created from the Sweet Tooth Boxes Cartridge. It is the sunflower image that was cut at 5". I added Flower Soft to the center for added texture. I added a bit of ribbon, stick pins, and a tag cut from the Sentimental's cartridge. I am not sure what little items I am going to put in the box.....but I am sure I will think of something! ; )
I love the look of the black Flower Soft!

I am still fighting a bad cold, which the doctor says is just viral. Unfortunately, my asthma is acting up because of it. So right now I have a very "sexy" raspy voice and a hacking cough.....but it isn't stopping me from going on a scrapbook weekend in Wisconsin with my girlfriends.

Thank you again for letting me share a bit of my life with you!

Have a great weekend!!!!

JustRite's New Release!

Today is Part II of JustRite's new release! The set I am sharing with you is called Winter Words. This is a perfect set for creating something on its own, or incorporating into other paper projects. I love anything that is so versatile!

I know Valentines Day is a looooooong way off, but I just couldn't help myself with this card! I created a shaped card using my Cricut Expression, the Gypsy to weld the image together and the I Love You a Latte Cartridge. I used liquid applique and glitter for the foam. I bought a zillion paper straws off of Etsy and have been having fun incorporating them into my projects.......like I did here! : )

The heart is part of the Winter Words set and was stamped in a pale pink, glossy accents applied, and glitter sprinkled over the top. The sentiment was stamped in Pure Poppy by Papertrey Ink and the banners were hand cut.

I added a bit of tulle, a doily, and a pearl to finish my cup of coffee up!

Be sure to visit these other talented designer's blogs! They have some beautiful winter inspired projects for you!

New Release by JustRite and a Tutorial at Splitcoast!

Good morning to you! My head cold is turning into a chest cold....ick! I was hoping to wake up this morning coldless.....but no such luck!

I have a few things to share with you this morning. The first order of business is JustRite's new background stamps. The first one is called Scrolled Vine and the second is Vintage Wallpaper.
Unfortunately, I only have one sample using the Vintage Wallpaper set.

I stamped the background image in Versamark and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I then took a brayer and applied 3 different fall inspired colors. Lastly, I took a cloth and wiped off any excess ink. I used a little bit of glossy accents to the edges and sprinkled with a bit of glitter. The leaves were cut using Spellbinder's dies and the Autumn Words set....also by JustRite. The sentiment is part of the same set.

I also wanted to let you know that I have a tutorial over at Splitcoast Stampers on how to make this fun little ornament! It uses the Christmas Treasures set by JustRite. I hope you will pop on over there to take a quick peek! ; )

Please be sure to visit these talented ladies blogs for more inspiration on using these beautiful new background stamps!

Publication.....

Good morning all! I have a terrible head cold that kept me out of my craft room most of the weekend.... : ( My head and body were achy, and all this gal wanted to do was rest!

But I do have a LO of my girl that was featured in the September issue of Cricut Magazine. : D
Cortney is all dressed and ready for her very first prom.......waiting for her "date" to arrive! I look at these pictures and realize how grown up she is looking.....how pretty she has become.

I used Flower Shoppe for all of my flowers and leaves. I used Storybook to cut the title. The hot pink trim is by Teresa Collins as well as the papers.

I am going to keep this post short and sweet today......I have some exciting news to share with you later this week! I don't want to spill the beans early! ; )

Have a wonderful day my friends!
