Another Day Closer to Spring.....

Yep, spring is on my brain.  Even though our winter here in Chicago has been mild, I am looking forward to the warmer temps.  I want to go outside without putting 16 layers on! 

Since my mind is in spring mode, I thought I'd share a spring inspired card with you that I made for the Cricut Circle last year.  Now being the really organized crafter that I am (not), I would love to tell you the cartridge I used here........but I can't remember. I should know the cartridges by heart, but I don't.  As my kids in 5th grade would say......."My bad." ; )

Do you remember having those tassel things on your handlebars as a kid?   Mine were white and I loved how they flapped in the breeze as a I sped down the street! I created my very own with leftover Christmas tinsel!  

I will finally be able to share some exciting news with you!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I know Valentine's Day isn't until tomorrow, but I am not sure I would have found the time to post, so I thought it was better to be early than late! I have a Crafty Secrets card to share with you that uses the Valentine Digital kit.  It has the sweetest retro images, like this little gal here.  And since I print the size I want, and how many I want, I can give it a bit of dimension by adding multiple layers. All of the papers used here were also printed from the CD.  

I added a bit of sparkle to her Valentine and a pearl for her hair.  I love these little details.....that to me, add just the right touch. 

I played around a couple of weeks ago and took a few pics of my girl.  I was just goofing around with my camera and thought since chalkboards are so "in" right now, I'd take one of her holding this holiday sentiment.  She seemed pretty happy to oblige. 

I am going to spend Valentine's Day getting my hair done with my girl.  She has a big event coming up on March 1st, and she's gotta look good! This weekend my hubby and I will get to spend time together on Saturday night.  I always look forward to our date nights!

Good morning!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  I know I did.  My girl is finally feeling better.  She is happy and talkative again.  We are still awaiting her test results, but at least in the meantime, she is more comfortable.  

We spent the day Saturday celebrating Kyle's birthday.  It was his last hoorah!  We saw Parental Guidance (cute), ate at Cheeseburger Paradise, played laser tag, and went for ice cream.  : )

Valentine's Day is in a few short days, and I have a few projects to share with you this week.  This first one is a cute box I spied on the Silhouette website.  It is super cute for putting sweet treats in. 

I added tulle and a pretty gardenia flower that also came from Silhouette.   

I am going to keep it short and brief! 

Off to work I go!
