At The Beach

Good morning! I have a little Beachy Sandbucket to share with you today that uses the new JustRite set called, At the Beach Oval Medallions.  I stamped the shells with Kraft ink and a bit of Melon Berry to give it a bit of a pink hue that seashells have. I covered them all in glossy accents.  The bucket was cut using my Cricut and the Life is a Beach cartridge.  I welded the two buckets together using Cricut Craft Room.
I stamped the little heart border, cut it out, and adhered it to the top of the bucket.
The tag was stamped in kraft ink and I airbrushed it with a pink Copic.  I tied it to the shovel along with some seam binding and twine.
The starfish was attached to the shovel where I had adhered real sand to it.

New Release by JustRite-Oceanside Oval Medallion Labels

Good morning and happy Friday to you! This has been quite a week for me. My brand new 6 month old computer caught a terrible virus that corrupted my operating system. I have been without my computer for 4 days now and am currently working off of my mini laptop. It has been a bit frustrating to say the least! I feel like I do all the right things, and yet I still got a virus! Thankfully my hubby had bought me the extended warranty and all repairs are covered!

I am sure you didn't come here to hear me grumble about the aggravations of life, so let's get to my card! : ) It uses the new set by JustRite called, Oceanside Oval Medallion Labels. What a fun little set this is!  I used markers to color the image in black and red and that gave it a good "huff" to remoisten the ink.  I stamped the border in black and used two sizes of the Spellbinder's Oval Medallion dies.  The images were stacked with dimensional foam circles.
The paper is by My Mind's Eye/Lost And Found, which I thought was perfect for a lobster image!  It gave it that "East Coast" look! ; )

I stamped the crab on a Shrinky Dink and cut it out with a circle Spellbinder's die.  I had punched a hole in it before shrinking so I could tie it to my ribbon.  I thought it was kind of a fun little accent!
I added a few rhinestones.....
Here is the set in its entirety!  Cool right?
Be sure to visit the other designer's blogs for more projects using this fabulous set! Be sure to check back with me this weekend for more JustRite inspiration! Have a wonderful Friday my friends!

Couple of New JustRite Releases!

Good morning to you! JustRite released a bunch of new stamp sets at CHA time and I can't wait to share with you the projects I created using them! The weather here in Chicago has been pretty mild, and I can't help but think that spring is right around the corner! With Valentine's Day past us already, my thoughts are already turning to Easter. JustRite has two perfect sets for this holiday! I used the new Scalloped Borders set to create the layers on my egg shaped card.  I added doilies between the layers to break up the bright colors a bit.  I stamped the sentiment using their other new set called, Spring Words.  It is a perfect set to have in your collection for all of the upcoming holidays. The flowers were created with felt and a Sizzix die I have.  The card base and leaves were cut using my Cricut. I added a bit of tulle to bring out the turquoise color a bit more.
My second project uses the same two sets.  The little egg behind the bunny was also stamped using the Classic Borders set.  I used the other Easter sentiment on my tag.  Both the tag and felt bunny were cut using my Cricut.  (Tag= Sentimental's Cartridge. Bunny= Kate's ABC's cartridge)

I added a bit of vintage lace, a rolled flower, and tiny cotton tail.
I also added a sparkly little clothespin to hold it together!

Be sure to visit the other designers for more spring inspiration! : )

Nontraditional Valentine.....

Good morning and Happy Valentine's Eve to you! I wasn't sure what tomorrow was going to bring, so I thought I'd post my Valentine a day early! (Just in case!) I created this felt Valentine using my Cricut and CCR Cricut Font & Basic Shapes. When cutting felt with your Cricut be sure to iron on Heat N' Bond on one side. Tape it well to the mat, use your deep cut blade, and don't pick an image that is too intricate! I cut two hearts and sewed the pieces together with a vintage trim between the two. I cut multiple flowers in varying sizes using the Flower Shoppe Cartridge. I stacked the flowers and added a rhinestone in the center.  The leaves were also from the Flower Shoppe Cartridge.  I added seam binding and a crocheted flower to tuck under my paper flower.
A couple of stick pins were added too!  Oh, and did forget to mention that I glittered the felt?  Before assembling the flowers and such, I sprayed the entire heart with a spray glue and sprinkled the glitter on top of it.  I just can't resist to constantly reach for that bottle of glitter!

Have a wonderful Monday!  Thank you for stopping by!
