Another "Less Than 3 Hour Card!"

I have been on a roll with these Crafty Secret's images from the Journaling booklets. Such beautiful deliciously vintage images! I used some Papertrey paper, vintage music paper, and a heart shaped doily. (Told ya it was my latest obsession!) I added a Papertrey ribbon and button as well as some rhinestones.

I have quite a busy weekend ahead of me. Tonight I am going to see Valentine's Day with all of my scrappy girlfriends. Saturday I have my grad class and then a quiet evening with the hubby and kiddos. Sunday I am taking Cortney to the American Girl store with a few of her friends and their moms. We have "tea" and buy something for her "baby" Gloria. Monday I am off for the holiday, so I am planning on doing some homework for my class, then take Kyle to the orthodontist to get his bottom braces on, and then I am hoping for a bit of scrappy time. I miss it a lot lately!
I hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful Valentine's Weekend!!!! Give them hugs and kisses!

Vintage Valentine.....

I love being able to whip up a card in less than 3 hours in my craft room! Anyone who knows me, knows it takes me FOREVER to create a card. Usually by the time I color it, matte it, embellish it, sew it........it is very time consuming. I envy people who can create beautiful cards in a short period of time! So today, I have a less than 3 hour card to share with you! LOL! How did I do it you inquire? Well.......start with this adorable image from the Crafty Secrets Seasonal Image and Journal Notes booklet. Coloring? Nope! Already done! I chose Melissa Frances papers, sewed them and added pearls to the corners. I used my Sakura glue pen to outline the image and added some SU! glitter. I also added glitter to the angel's heart and hat. I added a doily (My favorite obsession lately!), ribbon and a pretty button!

See all of the sparkle?

So.....my time in my scrap room has been a wee bit limited lately. I had to work on homework last night for my grad class. Bummer. It ends the 27th and until then, I have to act like a hard working student! : )
Have a wonderful day!!! Thanks for visiting me!

Lots to Share With You Today!

Happy Wednesday to all of you! I have my first ever sketch to share with you! Yep.....I was a total sketch "virgin" until now! Oh, I followed sketches....but never made my own.....until now. (Drum roll please!) Since it is my first ever.......be kind! LOL! And here is the LO that goes with the sketch. These sweet, cute kiddos are my niece and nephew. I used lots of scraps that were lying around my scrap table. Vintage inspired pieces.....which leaves me in total bliss......plus some Tattered Angels chipboard pieces that were sprayed with Glimmer Mist and sprinkled with Martha Stewart glitter.
I little stitching.....a bit of twine.......it's all in the little details........

A few buttons......flowers.......

I also have a couple of Valentine cards to share with you using Noel Mignon's Object of My Affection kit. Super easy to whip up!

BTW.....this is NOT a JustRite stamp.......I marked this incorrectly! That's what happens when you are working on a teeny 10 inch netbook! : )
This next one uses this kit as well.....with the addition of glitter and a paper doily!

Whew! At least this one is marked correctly!

Don't forget to pre-order your Seaside Cottage kit from Noel Mignon! There are only 6 kits left! They won't last long!

Romantic Sentiments by JustRite

Happy Tuesday to you! The days and weeks seem to be flying by these days. It is hard to believe that it is going to be Valentine's Day already! It seems I just put my Christmas decorations away! I created this card with my large scalloped heart from Spellbinders. I incorporated this fabulous JustRite stamp from the Romantic Sentiments set. I added some rhinestones, added a ribbon and vintage button.

I think this little card will make its way into my hubby's briefcase in the morning. : )

Have you ever watched the episode of Modern Family where the husband gives his wife a diamond bracelet and she in return gives him 8 coupons for free hugs? My husband cracked up at that episode and says that is sooooo me! So maybe I need to give him this card and a gift? I don't want to be known as the "Terrible Gift Giver!" LOL!

Alice in Wonderland...

Crafty Secrets has come out with many brand new, completely adorable sets! One of them is called, Greetings From Wonderland. Who didn't love Alice in Wonderland growing up? (Especially, now that Johnny Depp is in the new movie.........love Johnny Depp in all of his weirdness!) I digress..........I colored Alice with Copics. I stamped her crown twice, cut it out, and popped it up on pop dots. It was also glitterfied! She was cut out using the scalloped rectangle by Spellbinders. I did a bit of airbrushing too. The papers I used are from Noel Mignon's Object of my Affection kit. (Have you seen Noel's newest kit? Seaside Cottage? Deliciously vintage inspired!!!) I added a Papertrey ribbon and a Sassafrass button to finish it off.
You can really see the sparkle in this photo!

There were a couple of questions concerning my LO this past weekend. The first question was which glitter I used. I use Martha Stewart's course glitter all the time! That is what I used on my cookie title! It gives a nice sparkle, but sheer enough that you can still see the colors underneath. I was also asked which Cricut cartridge I used for my title. It was actually an old cartridge.......George and Basic Shapes. I think that was probably the first one I purchased after getting my Cricut a few years back.
Monday......already? : ) Have a great one!!!!
