Gold Foiled Sympathy

Hello friends!

I recently had a friend who's sister passed away.  These are never easy cards to make, but so necessary to let those we care about know that we are here for them.  I used Whimsy Stamp's Mitered Frames.  I water colored a panel and then cut the frames out.  I Hot Foiled the Sympathy Silhouette on black paper using Gold Foil. 

I couldn't help but to add flowers from the Poppy Flower Die Set., Jungle Frames Die set, and Grass Frames Die set.  I filled the center of the large poppy using the pearl from the Princess Pearls collection.

Whimsy Stamp's May Release!

Happy May to you!

Today is not only the day before Cortney's 26th birthday, but it's Whimsy Stamp's new release! 

I used the new Gerber Daisy stamp with coordinating die.  I stamped the image on water color paper and went for a no line effect.  After everything was dry, I splattered it with a bit of white acrylic paint.  I used the die and worked on my background.  I embossed a piece of white card stock with the new Slimline Thatched embossing folder.  I adhered the water colored image on top using Crafty Foam tape. 

The sentiment is part of the Sympathy So Deeply Sorry stamp set.  I have been needing more of these cards unfortunately. I tied a bit of black string and adhered an acrylic flower I had in my stash.  For a final touch I added a few gold sequins.

With Sympathy

Sympathy cards are tough.

When I create them, I want them to be respectful, not too flashy, but pretty.

I've had three wakes in the past two weeks, so I needed to make a few cards ASAP. 

This one uses the Layered Peruvian Lily stamp set from Whimsy Stamps. I stamped it with various inks.  I fussy cut the center lily out and popped it up with Crafty Foam Tape. 

I used the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I added a few gems from the Sparkletz-Snow Crystal collection.
