Shark Snack!

Hello friends!
I have a card to share that I made using Whimsy's Shark Snacks die set.  I love the size of this die! It really fills the card and the details are on point! I used water color paper and Tim Holtz inks.  The hearts were left over from the Slimline Hearts Background die that I used on another project.  I keep all of the extras in a pouch and use them as I need them for my cards.  :)  I added glossy accents and a white gel pen to add a few highlights.
I think the alphabet die I used here is now retired, but any larger font die would work great here!

I appreciate you stopping by today! :)

Grunge Ghosts Take 2!

Hello!
My post have been few lately.  The beginning of the school year always kicks my butt!
Hopefully things start to wind down a bit and get into more of a routine. Needless to say, my crafting time has suffered. I love these Grunge Ghosts Quick Card panels. from Whimsy Stamps. I added Grit paste to the edges after shredding them a bit with scissors.  I added a silhouette of trees from the Haunted Graveyard Border Die.  I felt like my image needed an additional ghost, so I used one from the Boo Die Set.  I added some grungy hardware, mummy cloth, and a sentiment to finish off the card.
Thank you for supporting my blog, it means so much to me!

Vintage Love....

Vintage. Love. Anything old, worn, well loved, is right up my alley.
These new Quick Card Fronts-Snowball Friends  by Whimsy Stamps are such gorgeous images!
You could do absolutely nothing and this would make such a beautiful card!
I did fuss though and added some crackle texture paste to the edges.  Did some machine stitching and added snowflakes dipped in glossy accents and glitter.

Just love these....

Some Last Minute Halloween Cards!

I can't  believe we are already at Halloween week! I have a couple of cards to share that I created for Whimsy Stamps.  This first card uses the super cool, Exquisite Beauty Stamp set.   I added a bit of Color with Copic markers.  I used the Honeycomb Drips Stencil as blood.  Cut it out and added glossy accents to it. The background paper is part of the BOOkeh 6 x 6 paper pack. I tied a bit of black string and a couple of posies to finish off the card.
My second card also uses the Exquisite Beauty set for the sentiment.  These frames are so much fun to grunge up with paints and Grit Paste.  I filled the frames with the cameos from the Forever Cameos Die set.    The background was given a bit of interest using the Exquisite Lace Stamp, watercolors, and machine stitching.
Have a great week my friends!

Halloween Grunge

Happy Hump Day!
I have a card to share with you today that started out as an experiment, a bit of messy playing.  After using Tim Holtz Crackle paste, Grit paste, chunky glitter, machine stitching and some of my favorite Whimsy Stamp's dies, this was the end result.  ;)
The light post and bats are part of the Elvira Moonlighting Die set.   The moon is from the Howling Die Set.  The gates are from the Build-a-Graveyard Die set.  The pink paper is from the 6 x 6 Pink Plaids paper pack.

Whimsy Stamp's New Release!

Hello friends! Happy Labor Day weekend to you!
I can not believe it is September already....time sure does fly!
Whimsy Stamp's has released some awesome Halloween stamps and dies this month.  I used several new products on this vintage, shabby, Halloween card. I used the stamp set, Exquisite Beauty for the butterfly wings.  It is a rubber stamp and it stamps so crisp and clear! For the body I used the Forever Cameos die.   The frame is from the Forever Cameos Frames die.   I grunged it up a bit with Grit paste and Crackle paste.  I used a Tim Holtz Distress Crayon in black and brown to get the cracks and such.  The background of the card is old book paper.  I used the Brick Pattern Stencil over it using Crackle Paste.  Once it was dry I swiped black and brown Distress Crayon over. it.
I added lace, a bit of mummy wrap around the frame, a small posy, and vintage stick pins for the antennae.  This was such a fun card to make. :)
If you haven't seen the full release yet, be sure to head on over to Whimsy Stamps!
Have a great weekend!

ARRGH!

Hello!
I couldn't resist making another pirate card using Whimsy Stamp's Treasure Map Die set.   I used the same technique on this skull as my last post.  I took Crackle Paste on cream card stock. Once it was dry, I used Tim Holtz Distress Crayons in black and brown to define the cracks. The map portion was stamped with Treasure Map stamp set.  I inked up the edges to distress it a bit.  I adhered the map and skull to black card stock and give it a splattering of white paint.
As a final touch, I die cut the sentiment with the new Arrgh Word and Shadow Die set. The black card stock I used had a white core, so I sanded it a bit to distress it.
If you haven't yet checked out Whimsy's new release, be sure to check it out!
Have a great week!

Trick or Treat

My crafting has taken me to fall projects but it is still in the 90's here in Chicago! I love me some summer, but I love me some fall even more.  I look forward to the cooler temperatures, fall clothes, pumpkin spice, and Halloween!
I have a card today that was a result of some experimenting with different techniques.  For the background I used Whimsy Stamp's Broken Web Embossing Folder.  I inked up the paper using Tim Holtz Distress Oxides in Prize Ribbon and Salvaged Patina.  Then I rubbed the Prize Ribbon ink directly on the embossing folder and ran it through my machine.  I loved how it gave it more interest and depth.  I inked up another piece of card stock using Salvaged Patina and stamped the new Trick or Treat stamp set in Versamark and embossed it in black.  I added grit paste and crackle paste to the edges of the sentiment. Once it was dry I rubbed brown ink over the edges.
I think the combo of the grit paste and texture paste are so cool! The spiders are from the Spiders and Webs Die set.   I added the filigree corners from the ATC Book Die Set.  They were given a coating of crackle paste too.  For a finishing touch I added some tulle and an old tea stained tag.

Be sure to check Whimsy Stamps to see all of the new releases! They are so much fun!

Say Whaaaaaaat?

Hi friends!
Hope you are all doing well!
I have a quick post today sharing another new (adorable) release from Whimsy Stamps! It is called, Winter Sports.  I colored my feathered friend with Copic markers.  The background was done using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks.  (See supplies below)

I used the Rounded Rectangles die.  On the back panel, I stamped the snowflakes to create my own sort of designer paper.  The "snow" was done with Stickles.  I used a few snowflakes from the Sparkletz collection.  I decided tuck the sentiment on the side, as not to distract from my skiing flamingo! ;)
Have a wonderful Tuesday!  I have lots of projects this month, so be sure to pop on by again soon!
