Let it Snow.....

Have you missed me?
;)
I'd like to give you a really good excuse why I've been absent for over a week.
I got nothin'.
Lazy?
Busy with other aspects of my life possibly.....not sure exactly.
The weird thing is I have lots of cards to post, I just haven't felt like sitting at my computer to edit them.
Can you come over and do that part for me?
I love using Suzy Plantamura's images.  Especially when I am being lazy.  (There is that L word again!)  I don't have to think too hard....just color and enjoy.  I used a rainbow of Zig markers here.  I did gussy it up a bit with liquid applique, rhinestones, a glittery panel of paper, and some purple string.
My son turned 20 last week. So it is official that I have no teens anymore. It makes you wonder where the time has gone.  Cortney and Kyle come home this week to celebrate his birthday with the family.  It will be sweet to fill this empty house with family.
Brian and I have been toying with the idea of putting our house up on the market.  It just seems too big now.  We've looked at a few houses and had ours appraised.
I am not sure I can emotionally detach from it though.
Anyway that's life in my neck of the woods.
What's going on in yours?

Blog Hop With Bo Bunny!

Scrapbook Adhesives & Bo Bunny Press Blog Hop Dec 2016 Logo
Good morning!
I am excited to be a part of the Bo Bunny and Scrapbook Adhesives Blog Hop!
I used these cute papers, Kiss the Cook, from Bo Bunny.  I used my Silhouette to cut the mixer shaped card.  I used Scrapbook Adhesives 3D foam tape for the layers as well as stacking my flower.

I attached my sequins using Dodz Mini.  (So much easier than messy wet glue!)
I wanted to add some additional "frosting" to my mixer, so I used liquid applique.  I did several layers so that it was nice and thick.  While the liquid applique was still hot, I sprinkled glitter over it.
I am so glad you stopped by! Be sure to pop on over to the Scrapbook Adhesives and Bo Bunny blogs for a chance to win prizes!
Have a great day!!

January Release From JustRite-Sweet Flowers and Vines

Good morning my crafty friends!  It is the start of JustRite's January release! I am excited to share lots of projects with you!
My first card is a coffee cup card.  I found this image over at the Silhouette store.
Michele Kovack
I created a shaker element using a heart die.  I glued acetate on the back.  I cut an extra coffee cup piece, used dimensional foam tape to adhere it to the back, after adding beads and sequins.  If you look closely there are 3 layers of coffee.  Rather than boring old coffee, I wanted a cappuccino. ;) I hand cut a piece of paper in the shape of the "froth", added liquid applique, and right after heating it with my heat gun, sprinkled glitter on top of it.  I took advantage of the 2 layers to create the shaker, and simply slid the "frothy" piece between them and glued it in place.

I water colored a flower and used a gorgeous new vine die from JustRite.  The sentiment is part of the brand new set called, Sweet Flowers and Vines.
And as a last finishing touch I added dots around the perimeter of the heart and select areas of the cup using JustRite's new line of puffy paints!

I wouldn't be a good crafter if I didn't do a little enabling! ;) But you better move quick on this one, the sale ends today at 3PM!
Be sure to stop by the JustRite blog to find more inspiration from the design team!
Have a great day!

Frothy Coffee....

Every now and then I get myself one of those fancy after dinner drinks.  You know what I am talking about right? The coffee with a little Kahlua or Baily's or something?
So this shaped card was inspired by my apparent love for alcohol!
I created this awhile back when I was on the Splitcoast Dirty Dozen team.  I used my Cricut, but can not remember for the life of me which cartridge I used.  I have since converted to a Silhouette gal!
I used lots and lots of liquid applique for the froth.
While it was still warm I sprinkled it with glitter.

I added a bit of ribbon, a paper flower, and a sentiment from My Craft Spot.   (Shop website seems to be down)

I gotta confess that lately I am a lazy, lazy blogger!  If someone could just come here and take the pictures of my cards and write my blog posts, that would be great!
;)
I have no shortage of cards, I create them and pile them up in my craft room.
What the heck is wrong with me?
L.A.Z.Y
yep.

Cupcake Love

Good morning!
I am up on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog today with a Cupcake shaped card!
It just seemed like a perfect card for Valentine's Day.
The cupcake was cut using my Silhouette.  The top portion of the icing was created using liquid applique and glitter. Because I am all about the realism.  ;)

The layers were adhered to the cupcake base using
E-Z Squares® Refillable. I added a sequin/rhinestone with the DODZ™ - Small To finish off my cupcake I added a satin ribbon, paper rose, twine, and a sentiment from SRM Stickers. The cupcake wrapper was scored with a Scor-Pal and attached with Crafty Foam Tape.

I am having a date night with my husband tonight.  It is so needed after the crazy week we've both had.  I am looking forward to some time away and recharge the ole' batteries!
Have a great weekend!

Ho Ho Ho!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
As much as I tried to recover from this virus I had all week, I still managed to catch up on laundry, clean the house, bake Christmas cookies, and take some Christmas pictures! I guess that means I am on the mend!
How about a little Santa to brighten your day?
There is nothing like facial hair to scream Christmas! LOL!
I used Cricut's exclusive Holiday Cards 13 images to create my card.
I used LOTS of liquid applique and glitter for his mustache and beard. ;)
I added silver glitter, some pearls, and a bit of sweater string tied with jingle bells to finish off my card.
I have lots of photos to edit, but came across this one in my stash.  For some reason it just cracked me up.  Myla is so full of personality!  We tease all the time that she should be a TV dog! ;)
If you have a caption for this photo, I would love some ideas!
Today is crazy hat day at my school....guess that means it is time to bust out the elf hat with fake ears! Gotta love spirit week!

JustRite's January Release-Tulip Damask Background Stamp!

Good morning!  It is a very snowy day here in Chicago....up to 10 inches expected throughout the day.  So it is a good day to stay home, craft, cook, and be a bit lazy! ;)
I am showing two of JustRite's new sets today.  The coffee cup image was released earlier this week, but I hadn't gotten a chance to use it....til now. I stamped it in Memento Brown and colored it with Copic Markers.  I traced the steam with liquid applique and added some to the cup itself to resemble a cappuccino.  The background was stamped with JustRite's new set called Tulip Damask.  It was stamped in Memento Blush Pink.  I distressed the edges with a bit of brown ink.
Immediately after heating the liquid applique, I sprinkled glitter over it.
I also used two Heirloom dies that were released last month for the top and bottom of the image.

Be sure to pop on over to the other designers' blogs to see their stunning work!

Happy Sunday everyone!
