Hi all! Just a quick weekend post, because I am behind posting my "Diva's" challenge. Our stamping group gets together and swaps images once a month. So my MIL Lynda picked this cute Penny Black image. I colored it in with Prisma colored pencils. The paper and photo corner is by Anna Griffith. Did you see my clever title? I "Sea" I Frogot your Birthday.... LOL! Yep, came up with that all on my own! (Karen Foster's Snap Stamps).
Head on over to the other girls' to see what they came up with!

Just a Quickie.....
Get your minds out of the gutter! : ) Yesterday I showed you my 4 hour shaker card, today it is a quick 10 minute card! Yep, you heard me right ladies and gents....10 whopping minutes! I needed a quick card for my niece. She just had tubes put in her ears and the adenoid's taken out. So, I didn't want to putz too much. I pulled out my Scor-Pal and created the diamond background. I also embossed a square in the center so I had a place to stamp. I used my SU! marker to color only the leaves. And of course, HAD to use rhinestones for the cherries! I added a little red ribbon and voila! 10 minutes later I had this! I think I broke records! LOL!
My 15th wedding anniversary is coming up next week, so I will post some cheesy wedding pics of me with my big curly 90's hair! So Saturday, Brian is taking me somewhere, but isn't telling me. My guesses? I think maybe he is taking me to see Jersey Boys. We'll have to see if I am right.
And lastly, I had to share this LO with you created by my good friend Simone. I clicked on her blog this morning and there was my face on her scrapbook page! I was so touched that she created a LO about me. I just met her last year at CHA, and immediately it felt like we knew each other forever! You know how you can just talk easily with some people? That's Simone! And I always love a person who can make me laugh. That girl just cracks me up!
Have a great weekend everyone! And remember, keep your eyes peeled on the 29th for some old wedding pics!

First Attempt at a Shaker Card!
Remember when shaker cards were all the rage? I would marvel at this interactive embellishment! I ordered this Sushi set (Stampendous) from Eclectic Paperie a few weeks ago and decided to try my hand at a shaker card. Let me just tell ya.....I am shaker challenged! I redid this card about 10 times! Ripping things off, starting over.... had micro beads EVERYWHERE! I ended up with this. I stamped on a transparency and colored it in with my Copics from the back. I cut it out using my Spellbinders Nestibilities. I also used them for the fishbowl as well. I added the foam all around the perimeter of the opening of the bottom piece. Add your microbeads and attach the top of the fishbowl. I added the starfish button to the bowl. I cuttlebugged the white background, added a ribbon, stamped the sentiment......and 4 hours later it was done! : )

Scrap Your Crap.....Bling!
Many of you who visit regularly know that I posted this picture of Cortney a couple of weeks ago. It was taken the day of her birthday party. I love this picture so much that I HAD to scrap it right away! Simone and Greta had a challenge last week over at Scrap Your Crap to use bling! Well....that is right up my alley! Initially, I was trying to use my Cricut to cut a Cinderella. After 2 hours of trying, throwing away, starting over and being thoroughly disgusted with how she turned out....I threw Cinderella away. : ( I just bought SU! star punches a couple of weeks ago and decided to use those. I used glitter paper, rhinestones, and a piece of vintage lace. I wanted to keep the LO simple so that the picture took center stage. After my Cinderella disaster, I was pretty happy with the results!
Simone and Greta's challenge this week is to use foam stamps! Remember those? HAD to buy every one made! So I am hoping to participate in this challenge!
Oh yea, my tooth you ask? I need a crown. UGH! She "patched" it today and is sending a preestimate to my insurance company. Not to happy about it.....
Happy HUMP day!

New Release!
This is Treehouse stamp's newest release! You have the option to have the kids hold flags or sparklers. ( Many of you know that I am a photographer, and have a "thing" for pictures taken from behind......I know weird right?) I colored the image in with my Copics. I also masked and airbrushed around them. The paper is Daisy D's and Bazzil. I got my new star punches from SU! and knew I had to use them for this card!!! I threaded the large star with a star pin and layered the sentiment over both.
I am off tomorrow. I am going to the dentist for a cracked tooth. Wish me luck!

You Make my Heart Sing!
This week's challenge over at Bitten by the Bug was to use the owl cut from the Happily Ever After cartridge. The solid paper is SU, DP is Papertrey, and the music paper is vintage. I distressed the edges with linen ink from Ranger. I hand cut the branch from corrugated cardboard. The leaves are also hand cut and inked. I added a pretty felt flower tied with satin ribbon (also from Papertrey), and a little pink Doodlebug flower. I placed the sentiment inside due to lack of room! (It says appropriately enough, You Make My Heart Sing!)
Hope everyone had a great weekend! I know I got lots of planting done! (And have a throbbing back because of it!) Only in Chicago can it go from 75 degrees on Saturday, to 50 degrees on Sunday! It's nuts I tell ya!!!
