How About a Few More Buckets?

Are ya tired of seeing my altered buckets yet? If you are.....click away now! More buckets are coming!!!! Actually after today's post I only have one more set to show you.....maybe I will go through bucket withdrawal?? Anyway, for today I am getting my fix........ : )

I used the JustRite stamp set called Merry Little Christmas and Borders. I used my Spellbinders circle template and left it on while I airbrushed it. I love the crisp white ring on the edge! ( I am thrilled very easily.) The little Santa hat was colored with Copics and then white flock was added. I used my very large Sizzix snowflake die behind the image. I cut some Doodlebug glittery paper.....which BTW is waaaaaay easier than having to add glue and sprinkle with glitter. And another bonus? I don't have glitter stuck to me for weeks to come!
Shredded some vintage music paper for the insides........and filled it with Bath & Body products.
You girls crack me up.......with all of your funny, sweet comments about my less than stellar LO from yesterday! I guess they can't all be winners right? Maybe I'll stick to the buckets! : )
Just a reminder to head over to the MESSAGE BOARD at Noel Mignon. There are some great last minute holiday ideas over in the Santa's Workshop Forum! Plus the girls are pretty cool too!
And......I am the featured designer over at Artful Inkables. (toot, toot!)
This weekend will be busy......Brian's office party, and brunch at Misericordia on Sunday.
Have a wonderful happy weekend!!!

Wedding Shower

A week or so ago I mentioned that Cortney's teacher is getting married in June. The school threw her a wedding shower that included her students. I wanted to make her a card. (well actually I HAD to make her a card.....because she knows that I make cards.....and going to Hallmark would NOT be acceptable!) I used this set from Artful Inkables. I used Versamark and black embossing powder. I used my Copic airbrush system to give it a bit of color. I left the Nestibility on to give it a pretty white edge.

I placed a doily under the main image and did a bit of sewing. The paper is Graphic 45. Love its delicious vintagyness! (Is that even a word? and if so.....did I spell it totally wrong?)

The little bouquet of flowers stuck in my ribbon was picked up in the bridal section at Michaels. I have bought some really pretty things in the bridal section at Michaels! : )
That's all I've got for you today! It is such a busy time of the year.......too much to do!
Thanks for stopping!!! Have a wonderful Wednesday!!!!

I'm Addicted!

To what you ask? Are you wondering if I am really a closet drinker, or drug addict? That would explain a lot wouldn't it? LOL! NAh, nothing like that....I am totally addicted to vintage book paper! I just bought myself some old Children's picture books to cut up and use for scrappin and cards! I decided to stamp this gorgeous Artful Inkables flower on the vintage book paper in Versamark. I sprinkled the black embossing powder and heat that baby up! I still love watching it melt! The DP is October Afternoon and SU! The buttons are just from my stash. I used 3 coordinating ribbons to finish it off!

I wanted to thank all of you for voting for me at the JustRite blog! I won first place! I am really excited! Not only do I get to do some shopping, but I will have the honor of being a guest blogger in September. There are 2 more weeks left of this contest, so hop on over and check it out! I want to see your name on their blog! : )

And lastly, Sweet 'n Sassy is hosting their blog hop this week! The girls have some fantastic sneak peeks that are coming out September 1st! I will have a few peeks at the new sets later this week!!

That's all for tonight....I am going to pour me a tall glass of vodka on the rocks......JUST KIDDING! (I'm in rare form tonight aren't I?)

Happy Thursday!

Artful Inkables, Sunburst Dandies

My once a month stamping group decided it was my month to come up with a project. I love these round, scalloped gate fold cards! There is something so sweet about these little cards. I decided on this gorgeous set by Artful Inkables called, Sunburst Dandies. The images were stamped using Palette Noir ink. The paper is by Papertrey Ink. To make the gatefold card I used my Spellbinder's Nestibilities. To dress up the card a bit, I added some cream floss and a vintage button. I think my group was pretty happy with them!

Happy 4 You!

This is another stamp by Artful Inkables. (Did I mention that I LOVE Kristin's stamps!) I colored the image with my Copics. I stamped the sentiment using Karen Foster's Snap Stamps. The number 4 was cut using my Quickutz. (Yep, blew the dust off that baby!) The felt flowers are by Making Memories. The paper? Have no idea right now.....and I am way too lazy to go upstairs to see who makes it!

If you get a chance pop on over to JoAnne's blog, My Adventures in Cardmaking, for some fantastic blog candy! She is an "old" veteran over at SCS, (Stamps 4 sanity). She just started a blog a few weeks ago due to the prodding of Sharon (Dew Drop Inn Designs), Kim (Crafty Me), Simone (Daily Dose of Spazz), and of course myself! She would love to get some new visitors!

Wonder, Whimsey, Magic....

Isn't this fairy the cutest? This is another image from Artful Inkables! I love Kristin's images! They are such fun to color! I colored the images with my Copics. I did some masking to place the fairy on top of the flower. I used the masks again with I airbrushed around the image. I added some glitter to the flower and fairy's wings. I used the Spellbinder's Nestibilities to create the scalloped square. Paper is by Basic Grey. The little scallop at the bottom was done with Martha Stewart's new border punch. The ribbon and felt button are by Making Memories. I stamped the sentiment and teeny butterfly. The colors look a bit off in this photo for some reason. The green looks a bit bright here......Don't know why?! Anyway, you get the idea....

Well, tomorrow we are seeing Sesame Street live with Cortney. We have "backstage" passes to meet all the characters. I know.....she WILL be the oldest kid there! I am sure there won't be too many 13 year olds there! : )

Heard You Been Dragon.....

This is another card using the Artful Inkables stamps. Kristin's images are so cute! She just came out with a few new ones for Father's Day too! Anyway, I colored this little guy in with my Prismas and Gamsol. I did some masking so he looks like he is sleeping in front of the tree. I also masked so I could airbrush around him. The paper is by Memory Box. Check back tomorrow.....as I will have some yummy blog candy to offer! Why? Well I missed my Blogaversary....which was March 28th. That is pretty much the story of my life......A day late and a dollar short! LOL! So I will offer it a month late! So check back! Happy Monday everyone! (Now that's an OXYMORON isn't it?!)

Artful Inkables and a Sketch Challenge!

A couple of weeks ago SCS had this as their sketch challenge. I had just received my order of new Artful Inkables stamps! I colored these cute images in with my Copics and then cut them out. The paper is by Memory Box and SU! I added some ribbons and distressed the edges and it was done!

We finally have sun and warmer temps here in Chicago.....which only means now I HAVE to get outside and start some cleanup work and gardening. I can no longer put it off! Not that I am complaining.....just explaining! LOL! Have a great day everyone!

Arful Inkables and better late than never!

There is new stamp company in town.......Artful Inkables! I love Kristin's whimsical images! There are fairies, (Yes, Michelle W. you WILL have to go check her line of stamps out!) cutie pie dragons, flowers, and a gorgeous bridal set! (I will have more cards soon!) This image was colored in with my Copics. I cut everything out and placed it off center from the sentiment, which is also Artful Inkables. The paper is Memory Makers. I pulled out my trusty sewing machine for the perimeter of the card. I added a ribbon and hand strung a little bead "thingy!"
About 2 weeks ago.....Alexandra nominated me for the Schon Wieder Ein Award....Arete y Pico. Then last night Kristen nominated me too! Thanks so much both of you!
