Moxie Fab Thanks! Blog Hop!

I am thrilled to send Cath off with a huge send off! She has been so instrumental in the crafting world and to me has always been somewhat of a celebrity! I loved the inspiration she has provided over the years at Moxie Fab world! She is starting a new chapter in her life and we are all here to send her off with a lot of love, good wishes, and to return a bit of inspiration that she has given all of us over the years!

Since I figured it was Cath's special day, I used this sentiment from SRM stickers!
I created yet another shaker card using my Spellbinders dies, acetate, glitter, and sequins.

I wanted to frame the circle and sentiment with a variety of flowers. I used my Silhouette to cut various shapes and sizes. They were all cut using white paper and inked with a bit of pink or purple.

I added a few leaves, a bit of tulle, and pearls to the flowers' centers.

JustRite's November Release- Sweethearts!

Good morning and happy Friday to you all!

I am heading to a scrapbook weekend with girlfriends this weekend and can not wait to hang out with my girls!

Today is JustRite's last day of their November release. Today set is a sweet Valentine/love set designed by Samantha Walker. It is appropriately named, Sweethearts. :)

I have been a bit on a shaker kick lately. There is something so cool about a card that moves!

And since now I have a crazy amount of sequins (I'm a total hoarder!) I figured I'd put 'em to good use!

I stamped the heart on a pale pink paper with Versamark and gave it a bit more color using Copic markers.

Spellbinders has coordinating dies to go with this set called, Lace Heart Dies. I used it to cut out my heart. It gives it such a lovely edge. I added a few posies, string, and a pretty red gingham ribbon to tie it all up!

JustRite's November Release-Coffee & Friends

Is it Thursday already? This week is flying by!

Today I have a fun background stamp from JustRite called Coffee & Friends.

I stamped the entire image with Versamark and embossed it in black.

I gave it color using my Inktense pencils.

I cut flowers from burlap, added seam binding, and some bits from floral picks. I clustered them together for a fun accent.

I love the mixture of textures!

JustRite's November Release-Fashion Vintage Labels Six

Good morning to you!

I hope you are enjoying all of the new stamp sets by JustRite so far! Today's set was a winner in my book the minute I laid eyes on it! It's vintage. It has a beautiful font. It has a purse image. It uses my favorite word, shopping. ;) This new set is called, Fashion Vintage Labels Six.

I colored this pretty little purse with my Copics. The flowers were colored twice and cut out. I gave them a bit of dimension by adding a dimensional foam circle.

I used a new die from Spellbinders called, Vintage Labels Six. I used my Copic airbrush system to add just a touch of purple. The background was embossed using a Spellbinder's M-Bossability folder called, Dotted Flowers. I stamped the frame in Versamark and embossed it in silver. I added a few purple rhinestones and ribbon to finish the card.

JustRite's November Release Day 2-Haberdashery Vintage Labels Five

Today is day 2 of JustRite's November release. This set is designed for the men in your life. I don't know about you, but I really need to beef up on my masculine card stash! I have a tendency to make mostly girly cards. Maybe it's because I am a glitter and lace kind of gal.....which really shouldn't find it's way onto a guy's card! ;) So I usually avoid 'em......until the very last minute.

The set is a vintage inspired set called Haberdashery Vintage Labels Five. I loved using it. Even if my card doesn't include glitter or lace!

Since mustaches are all the rage right now, I knew the minute I saw it that I wanted to make a mustache card. I scored the paper every inch and stamped the mustache in Versamark and embossed it in black. The bow tie was also stamped in Versamark but was embossed in red. I added a sequin and black string to the center of the bow. The sentiment was embossed in blue and hand cut into a banner shape.

I love the subtle texture this card has. :)

Crafty Secret's Design Team Challenge and Linky Party!

Good morning again! This is my second post today! If you are looking for JustRite's new release, be sure to scroll down a bit!

Today is a busy day here on the ole' blog. Crafty Secrets is hosting their monthly design team challenge and linky party.

This means a brand new tutorial too!

I created this Thanksgiving card using Crafty Secret's Thanksgiving digital image.

I printed the image on glossy paper using my printer, embossed it, and colored the image with Copic markers. I added a bit of seam binding, a couple of doilies, and a little posy to finish it off. The background paper is also from Crafty Secrets.

I love the texture the embossing gives. In person it almost has a stained glass appearance and the Copics are much more vibrant when colored on glossy paper.

So do you want to learn a few tricks I discovered?

Glossy photo paper and glossy crafting paper ARE NOT the same. No ma'am! Since I wanted the ink wet enough to grab the clear embossing powder, I had to print it on glossy craft paper.

What happens if you use photo paper? Well, you can't emboss it. The ink dries too quickly. Now, that doesn't mean you can't still use it. You can. You can color it with Copics and still get a great image. Just not one that has a raised edge.

I simply dumped the clear embossing powder right on top of my image and shook the excess off.

Hopefully you can see the wet ink "grabbed" the powder. Then simply use your embossing gun to heat set it.

Now you've got this wonderful raised edge!

What I love about coloring on the glossy paper is the colors stay wet a bit longer than they would if you used photo paper or regular card stock. This gives a bit of time to be able to blend and slide the colors. And as I said before, the colors are super vibrant!

JustRite's November Release-Shoes Vintage Labels Six!

Good morning to you my friends!

Once again we are starting a brand new month, and that means I get to share new releases from JustRite!

Today's set is a beautiful vintage inspired set called, Shoes Vintage Labels Six.

I decided to stamp the shoe and flowers in Versamark and emboss them in white. I pulled out my Inktense pencils and colored them. I love the pretty water colored effect it gives.

I added a touch of lace at the top of the shoe and hand cut each flower and leaf.

I stamped the sentiment and used a round circle punch. I adhered it to the shoe, added a bit of white string, and a final flower in the middle of the bow.

The background was stamped using the frame twice. I overlapped them in the center and gave them a subtle touch of pink to the inside of the frames with a Copic marker.

I added glittery American Crafts tape to the center and a scattering of sequins as a final touch.
