Perpetual Motion!

Yep, this title totally describes my nephew! He has no fear at all! This was a photo taken last summer, when he was only 2. He didn't want to wear water wings, or a tube.....nope.....he wanted to climb on the big raft, like his big cousin, Kyle. So my sister would place him on the big raft only to have Alex roll right off! On purpose! (Yes, my sister was right there to catch him! Those are her arms you see in the pic!) How many times did he do this you ask? Too many to count!
I added the text directly to the picture using Adobe Photoshop. I covered a chipboard circle with ribbon scraps, glued them down, and then cut off the excess. And of course, I HAD to add rhinestones to simulate water!

Busy weekend planned! My husband turns the big 4 0 Tomorrow! I am not doing a party.....I know.....bad wife! Instead I am taking him somewhere next weekend. No kids, just us, OVERNIGHT! (With having Cortney we don't ever get to do that!) I can't say where yet, because occasionally, my husband reads this blog.......

Sketch Challenge

A couple of designers, Kazan and Laura, from Bitten by the Bug, have started a new blog called 2 Sketches 4 You. Each week one of the gals posts a challenge for a chance to win some goodies. I love their sketches and decided this week, to play along! I used all SU! paper. I used an image from Crafty Secrets and punched a couple of stars. I added some old vintage buttons and tied some string through. I printed the sentiment on the computer. It was actually a pretty fast card, no stamping, and the thinking was pretty much done for me!

Treehouse's New Releases! Blog Candy Winnder!

Treehouse is releasing many new stamps tonight....check it out! This is one of the newest sets coming out. I love this cute big ant and the even cuter teeny ant! The set comes with all kinds of foods for the ant to carry away! I colored him in with my Copics as well as the pie he is carrying. I cut the pie out and placed it on pop dots. I coated the entire pie with crystal effects. I believe the paper is Flair. I added some stitching around the edges.

Brainwave Challenges! Last Chance for Blog Candy!

I was all excited to do this week's Treehouses' Brainwave Challenge on Monday! I thought, " Oh good, I will actually be early for a change!" WRONG! This was LAST week's challenge! Duh! Also, does anyone know why when I copy the pics for the challenges, you need a microscope to see 'em? Anyway, this flower is from Treehouse's Home Grown set. I colored them in with watercolor pencils and added crystal effects and glitter. (No card is EVER complete without some type of bling!) The paper is mostly SU! (Pretty bright I know!) I cuttlebugged the top portion and cut some tiny butterflies with my Martha Stewart punch.
Can you even see this?! Sheesh!
This week's Brainwave Challenge uses the heart from the Home Grown set. The sketch threw me at first! It was a bit of a challenge for me! I used Basic Grey paper and some vintage lace. I stamped the hearts and cut them out. I placed the small pink heart directly on a frosted button. I tied string around it and added the sentiment, "Happy Me."

Sweet Popsicles!

This week's Bitten by the Bug Challenge was to use the Popsicle cut on the Doodlecharms cartridge. I used Making Memories new spring paper. I distressed the edges, did some sewing and added chipboard letters. I sent this card to a "sweet" friend yesterday. She is one of those thoughtful people who always thinks of others. I can't say who because she hasn't gotten it yet!

Some Exciting News!!! and Blog Candy Below!

I have some exciting news to share......I just made the Noel Mignon Design Team!!! I have been buying her adorable, super packed kits for quite some time, so when she had a DT call, I knew I had to try! She carries so many wonderful products in her on line store! And the talent that she and the other DT members has is incredible! I am so excited to start on July 1st!

Treehouse Snail....and Blog Candy!

Friday night I got together with the South side gals and stamped. We swap images once a month, eat, laugh, laugh, and laugh some more! I brought this cute Treehouse snail with me and decided to use it on a gift card holder. Kimmy over at Crafty Me decided SHE wanted to use the snail for HER gift card holder. She got all fancy with hers and added a birthday hat and balloon! So check hers out! Mine was colored in with Copics. I used the Marvy scallop punch. The paper is by SU! I did a bit of machine sewing and added a pretty ribbon.
Here is the inside.....course you would normally put a gift card in there.....NOT an American Express card! (Well maybe you would, but I wouldn't! LOL)

School's Out For the Summer Blog Candy!

Tomorrow is my last day of school! Then I have 2 months off to be home and be a mommy full time again! So to celebrate I am giving away some goodies! I think the picture is pretty clear....so I won't list everything as it is very late and I need to get to bed! (For my last day of school!) What do you have to do?
