Sometimes life can get crazy and stressful. Sometimes I know I feel a bit out of control and overwhelmed with things. Logically, I know I can't change certain things, I know I need to accept them and move on. But sometimes, the emotional side of me kicks in and all logic is out the window! KWIM? So when I got this Serenity Prayer from Crafty Secrets, I knew I wanted to make a card with it right away. I think I need to send it to myself! : ) The paper is Basic Grey's Porcelain. I also used vintage book paper. The tag was distressed using coffee grounds and Glimmer Mist to give it some shimmer. I am in love with flowers these days and knew I had to use them here.
I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!!!
My thoughts and ideas for cardmaking and an occasional altered project!

Party Time!
Just a quick post tonight.....I am fighting a cold! I feel pretty lousy and need to get myself to bed early. This was a fast card I created using the Crafty Secret's Journaling Booklet. I Cuttlebugged the background and added a ribbon. The photo corners were homemade using the left over scraps from this image. I just placed them in the corner and folded it to the back. I'm trying to think "green!"
Did you notice my new look? Karen (Life at the Polka Dot House)revamped my blog. She did such a great job don't ya think? I loved my old blog......but was ready for a change I guess!

Rubber Ducky, You're the One.....
"You make bath time lots of fun......" Now that you officially have that song stuck in your head!LOL! I recently went to Hobby Lobby, and they had a bunch of Sesame Street stamps. I HAD to have one of Ernie in the tub. Cortney to this day (and yes she IS almost 14) still loves her Sesame Street. I've been razzed about it not being "age appropriate." But I feel like if it makes her happy, why not?! Anyway, this card totally deviates from my normal vintagey type style. As a matter of fact, I don't even know if I really like this card. I will say one thing.....it is VERY bright! So grab your sunglasses!
I colored lil' Ernie in with my Copics. I added lots of glitter to his bath bubbles and a Dew Drop for his nose. The rest? Pretty self-explanatory!

Inspired Blueprints
Noel Mignon is sponsoring Inspired Blueprints this month. If you have never been to their website it is awesome! It is chock full of fabulous sketches! And if you are anything like me, the layout is half the battle of a scrap page. Having a sketch makes life so much easier!
In the box of photos my mom gave me, I came across this treasure! It is a photo of my grandparents, aunts, and uncles. My mom thinks it may have been taken at her wedding to my dad. Most of these people are gone now.......so I am so glad I have this photo......
I used Noel's Nightingale kit for this. The only additions from my personal stash were the feathers and the vintage lace. I love the look the feathers give to this! The feathers seem vintage to me......like the feathers that adorned ladies' hats, back in the day......

Head on over to IB and play along! : )
I am back to work today, after a much needed 3 day weekend. Van is going back in the shop tonight for a few days.....ugh! My students start their state tests this week. It is always a bit tedious and boring.....but at least I'll get some grading done! Have a fabulous Tuesday!

Combining Two Great Companies!!!
Cortney has a this beautiful, doll-sized armoire that her grandmother made her a few years ago. It contains all of her doll clothes. Awhile back I decided to make her a sweet lil' hanging for the doorknob. I used a couple of Crafty Secret's images from the Childhood Journaling Booklet. The paper is by Making Memories. To dress it up, I added a Spellbinder's butterfly, rhinestones. and a flower created out of vintage book paper. I used black tulle as the "handle."
Her armoire is a bit jam packed huh? Amazingly we still manage to fit more doll clothes in there! : )
What two companies are coming together, you ask? How about Crafty Secrets and Tattered Angels?! Does it get any better? This entire week the two DT's are working together to bring you some unbelievable projects.
Check out these talented gal's blogs to see what amazing things they have come up with! ( I will post my projects later this week!)
Have a wonderful day!!! : )
