*****So today is MY day to host the $50.00 Crafty Secret's product giveaway! *******
But first, let me share my project with you! I decided to create a little album of my house using the Crafty Secret's chipboard house book. All the papers in my album are by Crafty Secrets. There is a time when I may not be in my house anymore, and I wanted to capture all of my favorite details! So if you would like a peek into my home, here is your opportunity! : )
For the cover I used the house stamp from the Home Sweet Home, set. It was colored with my Copic markers. I also used stamps from the Twinkle Stars and Price Tags sets. I added some lace, and some flowers cut from vintage papers and leaves stamped on burlap.
Oh! And some Glimmer Mist, glitter, and pearls!
Here is my bedroom........I again used the Price Tags stamp set to create the label. I added just a bit of lace, buttons, bling, and crackled chipboard.
Next stop? My art room and living room!
I can honestly say that my art room is by far my most favorite room in the house! It surrounds me with all of my favorite STUFF! Did you see my cute pink chandelier above?
I used this butterfly from the Altered Art set. It was colored with Copics and lots of glitter adorned this butterfly! I also added a vintage paper flower and button!
Copiced and glitterfied this too! (See how I made those verbs? LOL!) Also from the Altered Art set.......
I used the Hardware set for this......
I used the Message on a Bottle stamp set. It was stamped in Navy, shadows added with Prisma pencils and glitterfied! I also added some Crystal Effects to the bow as well as a tiny pink pearl.
I used the Sweet Stuff stamp set for this page. I colored the mix master the same colors as the picture hanging in my kitchen. I also added Crystal Effects and placed the image on pop dots.
This last page is dedicated to the story of how we got our house. I used the key and sentiment from the Home Sweet Home stamp set. My journaling is tucked inside a glassine bag....and it reads:
This house was Brian's great Aunt Helen's house. She died the year before we got married. Brian bravely asked his grandpa if we could purchase the house from him. He gladly sold it to us. Our down payment was one dollar. Yep. One Dollar. We thought this would be a "starter" home, but it ended up being our permanent "starter" home. We put a 2bedroom/bath addition on and have made many renovations since. It is the place where are babies have been born, our dogs adopted, our sorrows expressed, and our joys shared. It is our home.
And now for my GIVEAWAY!!! All you have to do is leave a comment and on Saturday, May 1st, I will pick a winner using Random.org. Please leave an e-mail address so I can contact you. If you don't leave me one, I will have to pick a different winner!
Be sure to check the Crafty Secret's Blog each day for new giveaways, new inspiration, and the other DT members' projects/giveways!
