It is hard to believe that today is October 1st already! Time just seems to be on fast forward lately......and I am afraid to miss anything! I am so glad to have slowed down a bit this weekend. I shopped with my son for dress pants, shirt, and a tie for his upcoming homecoming dance. He and I had lunch together....alone. No dad. No Cortney. Just us. I miss my little buddy. We used to be inseparable....and then he turned into a teenager.....you understand. So I am glad we had a bit of time together, even if shopping isn't his favorite activity!
I've been playing a lot with my Silhouette this past weekend. I have been experimenting and trying to teach myself all the ins and outs of it. It is a lot different than the Cricut. A few of you have asked me to write about the pros and cons of each.....I think I will down the line. I don't think I have enough knowledge yet to do a fair comparison. And don't get me wrong, I still love my Cricut....and won't give it up. This is just a new toy...a new crafty item to add to my arsenal of weapons! ; )
So I used this file from Silhouette.
Perfect for packaging packs of gum for Halloween.
I used papers I printed from the new Crafty Secret's Halloween CD. They are awesome papers that you can print to any size you need! I also used some images from the CD. I printed them tiny, so I could punch them with a circle punch and add an epoxy dome on top. These became my enclosure.
I just added a bit of twine and a rhinestone in a coordinating colors....
I adore this pumpkin! Although he looks a bit frightened by whatever is standing next to him.....
Linking it up HERE! Be sure to check out Lucy's month long Halloween Linky party!
Linking up HERE too!
Be sure to check out the Halloween CD if you get a chance as well as the Crafty Secret's blog to see what the other designers have been creating for Halloween!
Have a great day my friends!

Glad you got some mom/young man time! I'm already worried about my little guy becoming a teen someday....I know what the ones I have every day at school are like!! ((Great most of the time, but those moments here and there, whew!!!) Your gum holders are great. I do wonder--wehn you print the papers from the cd to use in the Silhouette, did you just print on cardstock from your home printer, or some other type of paper?? The papers you used turned out terrific!!
Oh im so excited that you got a silhouette! I got one a year ago and its the best purchase i have ever made. Now i design my own cutting files and the opportunities are limitless! You should check out the silhouette plus forum, they have tons of fun projects and ideas. Im so looking forward to seeing your silhouette creations!

So fun! My weekly linky party--One Creative Weekend--has gone spooky this week in honor of my thirteenth party. If you haven’t already, I hope you’ll visit "One Creative Weekend" on OneCreativeMommy.com (open every Fri-Wed) and link up this idea and anything else you’d like to share. (You can include non-Halloween posts as well, but feel free to link up as many Halloween-themed posts as you like.) There are two categories—one for Halloween and one for everything else.
