Yes....more Crafty Secrets!!!

Are ya completely bored with me yet? I have really been in a vintagey kind of mood these days. Crafty Secrets fulfills that perfectly! I used DP by My Mind's Eye and Lasting Impressions. The snowflake border punch was by Martha Stewart. (Love this punch because it also embosses!) This little girl...yes, I think it is a girl...or is it a boy? Well in either case I colored "her" in with my Copics. I added white flock to her hat and coat. I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the ice. I added some vintage lace and an old buckle from my stash.

Had parent conferences tonight....went rather well. No crazy parents this year! Love to hear that students "love" being in my class. It always makes me feel good about the profession I chose! Well, off to bed....Night!

Inky Antics!

I am always on the lookout for images that are appropriate for men. And since all the men in my life love to golf....I thought this was a perfect stamp! The image is from Inky Antics. I purchased it from Eclectic Paperie. I actually made this card for my hubby's boss for his birthday....yea no pressure there! He is the golf club champion at his country club. So the man reeeallly likes golf!
I paper pieced his shorts and decided with the bright colors I better leave his shirt white. I colored him in with my Copics. The paper is by Reminise. And notice, no ribbon! That was really hard for me.....so instead I added the Happy Birthday sentiment from Lizzy Ann Designs. I used an epoxy circle over it. Which by the way, have turned yellow with age. Yep, probably had these babies for about 7 or 8 years....which is why we all need to STOP hoarding those supplies! They DO expire!!! In my case the yellow worked out because it matched the paper! LOL!!

End result? Brian's boss loved the card! "Put one on the board.......YESSSSSS!"

Coronet? or Cornet?

Does anyone know the proper spelling for these Victorian Coronets (or is is cornet?)???? Well is doesn't matter because I am loving them! My kitchen is a cranberry red so I thought this would go perfectly! I used the Cotton scraps from Crafty Secrets as the main image. I used buttons, Spanish moss, a Heidi Swapp Ghost snowflake covered in gold glitter, pine cones, an ornament, vintage lace, rhinestones, a Making Memories epoxy tag, and some floral picks.

Scrapbook Sunday!

I am trying so hard to get back into scrappin. I really have a difficult time going from cards to scrap pages. Maybe it is the instant gratification of cards. Maybe I'm just weird and no one else has this problem? Anyway, this page is of my niece Katie. She is the cutest, tiniest little baby! I have been on a bit of a button craze these days. I find myself using buttons on my cards, altered projects...everything! I am loving all the vintage ribbon I bought too. The paper is a mixture of SU! and some Basic Grey. The chipboard letters have been in my scrap room forever...I think they are by Chatterbox. They came in a kit with some flowers and such.

Anyway it is 1:00 am and I am getting really tired....time to go to bed! Goodnight!

Finally used my TAC stamps!!!

I went to my first TAC demo (Kimmy at Crafty Me) about 5 weeks ago and hadn't used any of my new stamps! How sad is that? Doesn't that tell you that maybe I have waaaayyyy too much stuff! Anyway, my husband needed a card for a girl at work who is having back surgery. I used my Brilliance ink on the leaves. Which by the way, I am totally impressed with these stamps! They are so easy to use and stamp beautifully!
The paper is Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye. I used hardware I bought at Archivers. I also used my Spellbinders dies for the two squares. I found a cute little leaf charm to tie to the ribbon.
