Hoppy Birthday!

Yes, I know it is Thanksgiving tomorrow....followed shortly by Christmas, but people are still celebrating their birthdays right? ;) I created this card for the SRM blog using this adorable set by Jane's Doodles called, Garden Friends. I stamped the frogs in a light brown ink by Tim Holtz and water colored them using my Zig Clean Brush markers.

The eyes were given a generous coating of glossy accents. Once that was dry I added a drop of black puffy paint. I cut the image using a Spellbinder's rectangular scalloped die. While the die was still in place I sponged Tim Holtz ink in shades of green, yellow, and blue.  I stamped the sentiment in black and added a few more dots with the black puffy paint.

For a finishing touch I added pretty silk ribbon from the Stamp Simply Store. I love leaving the ribbon long and flowing....it's kind of my "thing" right now! ;)

Good morning! 

I am up on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog today with a Thanksgiving card!

I have used products from some of my most favorite companies. 

The die cut leaves are from JustRite. They were water colored using my Zig Clean Brush Markers.  I gave them a coating of glossy accents and glitter. I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L's DODZ™ - Medium to adhere the leaves.

The sentiment is from SRM Stickers.  I adhered it across the leaves using Crafty Foam Tape. I tied black twine and a few sequins to finish off my card.  

Today is my last day of work for the week! I am so glad too because my house is filthy and the laundry is piled high.  I am hosting Thanksgiving and have so much to do!  I am thinking I should dim the lights, put a few candles on and forget about the cleaning! LOL!

JustRite's November Release!

It's a snowy morning here and I am a day late getting this post up for JustRite's November release. 

I seem to be a day late and a dollar short these days. 

I could give you all of the reasons why, but I will save that for another day. ;)

I am sharing a card made with JustRite's adorable new set, We Are Having a Baby. 

I stamped the image with black Staz on ink and water colored it using my Zig Clean Brush Markers.  I splattered it with a bit of black water color and of course had to add a bit of glitter to the balloons. The circle dies are from Tattered Lace. 

I threaded a bit of silk ribbon from the Stamp Simply store. The background was inked with yellow, orange, and pink Tim Holtz inks.  I splattered it with a bit of water for that cool pooling effect. I added a few sequins and a tiny pearl to the teddy bear's bow.

JustRite has released their entire November collection...so you must stop by their blog to see everything! You will be so excited for all of the new dies and stamp sets!

Your Support Means Everything!

Good morning  my friends! I have a new card today with minimal embellishments! (gasp!) After spending a bit of time coloring this beautiful rose by Crafty Secrets, I didn't want to take away from it. The digital image can be found HERE.  I used my Prisma colored pencils and a white gel pen.  The background was given a bit of depth using Tim Holtz inks in shades of brown, green, yellow, and blue. I masked off the rose and gave it a bit of black water color splatter. 

The sentiment was cut from the Girlfriend Creative Scraps.  I threaded some sheer gold ribbon vertically to finish off the card. 

I am fighting a cold and woke up this morning with no voice.  Teaching 26 kids might be a bit of a challenge today! ;)

Wish me luck.....I'm gonna need it!

Good morning! 

I am up on the SRM blog today with a fun card using a fabby set from Jane's Doodles called, Home Sweet Home.   I stamped the buildings with black Memento ink.  The buildings were colored using Copic markers. The background was created with my Zig Clean Color Markers.  

I adhered the buildings to the front panel with crafty foam tape from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. 

(my favorite!)  I added glossy accents to the sun and clouds.  The sentiment was stamped on a water colored panel with Versamark and then heated with white embossing powder.  I added red string to finish off my card.

Crafty Secrets and Word Art Wednesday!

Good morning! I am excited to be a guest designer for Word Art Wednesday!

I had the pleasure of working with this beautiful scripture.  I incorporated it with a digital Thanksgiving image from Crafty Secrets.  I merged the two using Photoshop.  I printed it on white cardstock and colored the image using Prisma Colored pencils.  I used a Spellbinder's die to cut out the image.  While the die was in place I sponged around it using several Tim Holtz inks in brown, green, and a bit of blue. 

I splattered the perimeter with a bit of water and then a bit of black water color paint.  I removed the die to have a wonderful white crisp edge!  I added coordinating silk ribbon and pearls to the corners. And just because you know how much I LOVE sparkle, I added Ice Stickles to the perimeter of the card, as well as the veggies!

Resurrecting Old Supplies!

Good morning!  I realized today that it had been a week since I last posted! Life has been so busy lately! There are many changes around the corner which I will be sharing soon.

Anyway my friends, I am up on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog with this card.  

It was a card made up of some very neglected supplies!

Quickutz dies that I have been enjoying resurrecting...and my cloud stencil. I added layers of glossy accents and glitter to my dies after water coloring them with my Zig Clean Brush Markers, an SRM sticker that you can find here, and crafty foam tape in between card stock for depth. For my finishing touch, I adhered a few sequins using DODZ™ - Small.
