Coffee or Tea?

Good morning!  I am up on the Scrapbook Adhesives blog this morning with an all important question?  Coffee or Tea?  Which one is your favorite?  Inquiring minds want to know!  I am going to be quite diplomatic and say that I LOVE my cup of coffee in the morning but also enjoy a cup of tea in the evening. They are both sweet spots of happiness for me!  (It's the little things folks.....LOL)
I used the same coffee set from Flourishes that I used on my last post.  This time I used my Prisma colored pencils.

I used several adhesive products from Scrapbook Adhesives...Dodz-micro to hold my sequins in place and crafty foam tape to pop up the main panel for more dimension.  I also added glossy accents to my lemon wedge and centers of the flowers.

I also wanted to thank you for your sweet comments and e-mails.  I won't be giving up crafting, but will be posting when I can with no guilt. No pressure.  I am thankful that you all understand because it seems that you have all been in my shoes at some point or another.
So thank you again for stopping by my sporadic blog.  (Maybe I should rename?) ;)  You lift my spirits for sure! Have a wonderful day!!

Life Gets Crazy!

Good morning friends!
I finally have a card to share.
Life seems to constantly get in the way lately.  I wonder if anyone even comes to my little corner of the world.  I know my posts are sporadic at best.
So here are to the people that still come by to see what I am up to.... ;)
I stamped a one layer card using this cute coffee stamp from Flourishes. (It's an older set that I borrowed from my mother-in-law!)
The image was colored using Copic markers.  I added a bit of glossy accents to the centers of the flowers and the lemon wedge.  I wanted to bring out the yellow a bit more so I squeezed a few Nuvo drops.
Here are two very good reasons why I don't post every day.  :)

Cortney's 22nd birthday is today! She also just celebrated her 1 year anniversary at Misericordia.  She is involved in yoga, aquatic therapy, Developmental Time (similar to a school day), art club, Special Olympics, Showtime, and the church choir. We bring her home frequently, like this past weekend when we celebrated her 22nd birthday.  I have started a fundraiser for Misericordia selling jewelry with their logo. I worked with a local jeweler who made my vision a reality.  In addition to that, Brian and I were asked to be on the board.  We start in August.  And finally, this past weekend, we stood on the corner for Misericordia's "Candy Days."  It was cold, windy, and rainy, but we both managed to collect 4 cans of money for this wonderful charity!
This young man of mine is finishing up his sophomore year in college.  He started an internship with a gaming company and will continue through the summer. I am extremely proud of him and can't believe he will a junior!
I always thought with the kiddos older, I would have a ton more time.  In some ways I do, but in other ways I have taken on more.  I still love to craft, but it has definitely taken a back seat to other aspects of my life.  I think sometimes I feel guilty?  LOL! Any of you ever go through this?  Where you think maybe it's time to give it up?

Blog Hop with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and Paper House Productions

Good morning friends!  I am excited to participate in the blog hop between Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and Paper House Productions.  I merged the two product lines together by creating a shaker card! I used two paper lines from Paper House, as well as the Cherry Blossom snapshot you see in the background of the card.
Hello Shaker Card by Michele Kovack for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L/PHP BHop17
I created the shaker portion using a frame, Cherry Blossom’s snapshot, and acetate square from Paper House’s Let Freedom Ring Collection. I used Crafty Foam Tape between layers.

I added a sticker sentiment, heart, and arrow border from the Discover USA Collection directly on top of the acetate.  The red and green patterned paper are from the same collection.  I adore these papers so much! They remind me of an all American picnic! I adhered all of the layers onto my white card stock using E-Z Squares.

There are lots of prizes to be won, so be sure to head on over the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog and the Paper House Productions Blog!  Thanks so much for popping in today!

Stamping and Die Cuts!

Good morning!  How was your Easter?
Mine was probably one of the best one's I've had in a very long time! The weather was gorgeous! My entire family made it and the food turned out perfect!
Today I have a card that I shared on the SRM blog a few days ago. It uses their new Heaven and Earth stamp set.
The clouds were stamped and heat embossed in white.  I stamped the mountains on a separate piece of card stock and then colored them in using Water Color Twist Pencils. I used a white gel pen to add snow to the tops of the mountains. I also added "water" to the front of the mountains and the reflection of the sun.  I adhered it to the sky using crafty foam tape.  I glued a small felt circle for the sun and added rays with a Copic marker.
I stamped the sentiment and added shadows with a gray Copic marker.  I tied a bit of Marigold Twine and a few sequins. The entire image was placed over a kraft die cut filigreed square from Spellbinders.
Thank you so much for popping in today!

Stampin' Up! Happy Easter!

Good morning!
I need to get an assistant, I think, to help me get these blog posts up!  ;)
But in any event, I got my booty on the computer and managed to squeak in this card!
I borrowed this cute Stampin' Up set from my Mother-in-law and colored it with Copic markers.  I added a bit of glimmer with a Wink of Stella pen.
The cute plaid paper is from Lawn Fawn.  I added a bit of satin ribbon, a pink posie, and a few sequins.
Thank you for stopping by!

Rainbow Trees

Who doesn't love a good rainbow color scheme?  With glitter to top it off?
That's what I did here with SRM's new set called, Heaven and Earth.  I stamped the trees on white card stock in a rainbow pattern and then added clear Stickles for a bit of sparkle and dimension.
I wanted to "ground" the trees so I added a bit of shadow under each one using a gray Copic marker.  I lined up my sentiment using my Mini Misti and added coordinating rhinestones.  I tore the top and mounted it on a piece of black card stock.  I tore the top of that one too.
I tied Marigold twine vertically and adhered a purple rhinestone to the center.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
