My Left Over Penguin!

TGIF! I am heading out to Geneva, IL to shop and eat with my girlfriends. It has become a yearly tradition and one that I look forward to! As you know, I have been totally addicted to Suzy Plantamura's cute images! When I don't know what to create, I just pull one of these babies out and BAM! I have an instant card! I used Copics and a white gel pen.

See that cute little penguin?  I had originally stamped him for yesterday's card, but then felt he was too big.  He was sitting on my desk while coloring this card, with his sad puppy dog penguin eyes, just begging to be used.  So I thought to myself, "Self, wouldn't he look cute sitting inside the sand bucket?"  And yes, indeed he does! ;)

Thank you for stopping by today! I will be back with this weekend with another penguin card. ( I figured why stop, while I'm on a roll?)
Have a great Friday my friends!!

This Penguin Needs Sunscreen!

This little guy needs to watch out! His belly is getting a bit pink!
I adore this stamp set from My Favorite Things!  It is called Penguins in Paradise.  He does look like he's living it up, doesn't he? ;)
Everything was colored with copics.  The "sand" portion was done with a floral stencil I had and various shades of yellow, orange, and pink Tim Holtz inks.
I usually do your "normal" sand but wanted to jazz it up a bit.  I think it worked pretty well!
I lined up the sentiment using my Mini Misti and then added some seed beads and sequins to finish off the card.
No sun here today.  Storms rolled in last night and apparently they are here to stay throughout the day.
*sigh* Guess that just means I'll have to craft...... ;)
Have a great day!!

Life is Better in Flip Flops!

Hey there my friends! How is your summer so far?
Mine has been spent catching up with family and friends who seem to get somewhat neglected during the colder months of the year.  I love seeing everyone and being outside every chance I can!
I have been taking some images outside and thoroughly enjoying the process of coloring.
Suzy Plantamura's images are perfect for this!
And life really is better in Flip Flops! Unless you have plantar fasciitis! Then you had better wear good supportive shoes! LOL!
I spent all last week with this gal! Lots of swimming and of course a bit of "modeling."
And thank you all for your interest in Rodan + Fields skin care and Lash Boost.  I would never recommend a product I didn't believe in.  And I can honestly say, these products have been a game changer for me.  You have absolutely nothing to lose by trying them.  They ALL come with a 60 day money back guarantee! You can have beautiful radiant skin AND longer, thicker lashes!

Love One Another....

Love One Another....
Sounds so simple.
Wouldn't it make the world a better place?
I have to turn off the news lately.  It's sad and depressing. I hold my family a little tighter and try to be the light for other people.  Being kind costs nothing.

I am up on the SRM Blog today with a card that uses the "smooshing" technique and  a sentiment from SRM's Love One Another stamp set.
I stamped the heart separately, colored it with Copics, fussy cut it, added glossy accents to it, and adhered it with foam tape.  I added enamel dots and pink twine to finish off the card.
Have a wonderful day my friends!

Summer Ice Cream!

Good morning!  I have been spending a bit of time in my craft room this past week.  My van is still in the shop, so I've been stranded at home.  (Which might be good, because it forces me NOT to spend money! LOL)
I adore Suzy Plantamura's image! When I am in a creative funk, I take one of these babies out and just enjoy the process of coloring.
For this image I colored everything with Copic markers.
I added glossy accents and some chunky glitter to the ice cream.  When it was dry I flicked a bit of black water color for interest. I adhered it to red card stock. I kept the card simple since I wanted the coloring to take center stage.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Good morning! I am excited to be participating in the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with TWO companies! SRM Stickers and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  My first card uses a  brand new set by SRM called, Coffee Plans. I loved the images so much I decided to use ALL of them on my card! I cut the circles in various sizes, gave them a hint of color with Copics, added glossy accents and glitter.  I sponged a bit of ink around each one as well so it wasn't so stark looking.

My second card uses the same set, but since I had a digital copy of it before it was released, I resized it.  I loved the larger size and colored it with Prisma colored pencils.  I added a bit of Stickles for some sparkle.  I adhered a little felt heart using Dodz-small and layered everything with Crafty Foam tape.  (My most favorite adhesive EVER!)

My last card once again uses the same set.  I colored my cups with Copics and adhered them to a heart.  (because I love coffee so much! LOL!) I added another felt heart.  I layered everything with some patterned paper from Lawn Fawn.

Thank you for stopping by!  I LOVE your visits! Have a wonderful day!

My Other Passion!

Before you thrown something at your computer because of my lack of crafty posts today....hear me out.  ;) One year ago I started a skin care regimen with a wonderful company called Rodan + Fields.  I was so hooked that I became a consultant.
I suffered from adult acne, redness, and of course the dreaded middle aged wrinkles!
I had spent hundreds...heck probably thousands on skin care products over the years with no results.  This is the first skin care company I truly believe in and am passionate about. The just surpassed Clinique, Lancome, and Estee Lauder to become the number 1 Skin care line!  And for good reason!
They also offer a 60 day money back guarantee on all of their products!

Here are my results after 11 months.  No make up in either picture! YIKES!
I shared this once before.  The picture on the left is me at 35 and the one on the right is me at 45.  Acne gone! Redness gone! Wrinkles softer, skin tone 100% better!! (These are my school pictures BTW!)

No automatic alt text available.
They also have a new product that came out in December called, Lash Boost.  It is friggin' AMAZING!  I am a natural blonde with thin, wimpy lashes.  Not anymore!! I've been asked many times, if my lashes were fake.
And what's great?  Is they are your very own lashes!
Rodan + Fields is now offering Lash Boost with their skin care regimen at 20% off their retail price!  It's almost like getting Lash Boost for free!

And this picture seriously cracks me up!  Look at how Lash Boost worked on him!  (One eye only!) LOL!
