Linen Holiday Treat Bags!

Good morning!
I am up on the SRM Blog today with some holiday treat bags!  I know it's a bit early, but I am trying to get a bit of a head start!
I am loving these new bags from SRM.  Who doesn't love polka dots? I added silver Stickles to the centers of each of the dots for a bit more interest.
I used my Spellbinders flower and snowflake dies and gave them a bit of color with a Copic marker.  I adhered all of the layers and added more silver Stickles to the centers. I used a tag punch and stamped my sentiment from SRM's Seasonal Plans Stamp set.
I punched a circle out of white card stock and stamped the snowflake in a pale pink.  I added Stickles to the center.  I tucked the tag under my flower/snowflake.  I added some silver twine and jingle bells to tie it all together.
Slip a few treats in there and voila!
Happy Hump Day my friends!!

Copics and a Cloud Stencil

Good morning!
It's been a bit since I've last posted.  The start of school has thrown me for a loop.  My time has been a little more consumed.  I have a card that I created awhile ago and for some reason only edited one picture.  (Lately, I've been super lazy with editing my photos! Is it just me, or do you have the same issue?)  Maybe I need an assistant! ;)

This is a Stampin' Up! set I borrowed from my MIL. I stamped the dog and bird and masked them off to create the clouds behind them.  Then they were colored with Copic markers.  I simply added a ribbon and few clear sequins/droplets.

I will be back tomorrow with some SRM love!  (I promise!)

Have a great day!!

A Rose, Texture Paste, and Prismas!

Hello?
Did you just hear Adele in your head?
Now that you will have that song stuck in your head all day......your welcome.  ;)

I am up on the Scrapbook Adhesives blog today with this little number.
An Altenew stamp that was colored using Prismas. I used the coordinating die cut.
I love the look of texture paste on kraft paper so that is exactly what I did here.  I left the edges rugged and somewhat unfinished.  Once it was dry, I adhered my rose and leaves using Crafty Foam Tape.  I layered the image on black card stock and the white card using E-Z Squares.
I die cut the word, hello and gave it a coating of glossy accents.  Once it was dry I attached it to the card using Dodz-mini adhesive dots.  I also used them to adhere the sequins and clear drops.
Our family hosted our 3rd annual Cortney Kovack Misericordia Golf outing.  We were so excited to be able to present Sr. Rosemary a check for $21,116 on Tuesday.  And meeting her is honestly like meeting Mother Theresa.  She is such a phenomenal person with a heart that is as big as Texas.  I just love this picture too....pure LOVE!
Wish me luck! Today is my first "official" day back at school! Kids and all! ;)

Back to School!!

Good morning!
I have been at school this past week getting my room ready for our open house on Monday of next week.  My students officially start next Thursday.
It has been a great summer, but I think I am actually ready to get back to the art of teaching.
I miss my students and colleagues.
The only thing I won't like is the getting up at 5:30 AM each day.
I am definitely not an early riser!

I was up on the SRM blog yesterday with a card that celebrates the start of a new school year.
It uses stamps from the Fall Plans Planner set.
I repeated the apples in a row using my Mini Misti to prevent "wonky" apples! I colored them with Copics and gave them a coating of Crystal lacquer.  Once dry I added a highlight to each apple using the Reminisce White Gel pen.
I added a few epoxy circles and black jute to finish off the card.
Hubby and I are making the most of this weekend! We are heading to the golf course on Saturday and on Sunday we are heading downtown to see the air and water show!
What are your plans for the weekend?

Rainbow Hearts!

Good morning!  I am up on the Scrapbook Adhesives Blog today with a fun rainbow heart card using a cute stamp set from Sizzix. I used my Mini Misti and masking to line up the hearts in a straightish row. I colored each heart in the colors of the rainbow.  Where the hearts overlapped I blended both colors of Copics.  I added a drop shadow to each to give it more depth.  I used my Misti to line up the sentiment and stamped it in black ink.

I decided to coordinate the background with each heart so I cut 1" pieces of card stock and adhered them to black card stock using Scrapbook Adhesive's  E-Z Squares® Refillable Dispenser.  I adhered the rainbow hearts to the background and tied a white ribbon at the top.  I used  Adhesive Dots Micro  to attach the sequins.

This card just makes me happy looking at it!  :)
Have a great day my friends!

Polka Dots and Linen!

I am starting to face the reality that summer is slowly winding down, and the impending school year is near.
Crap.
Why does summer have to  go so fast?
Soon I'll be waking up at 5:30.
Too early people....I really like the 7:00 time a whole lot better!

Honestly, I really do love my job. The kids, my school, the creative side to it....all of it. But if it could start each day an hour later, that would be great! LOL!

I was up on the SRM blog yesterday with a project all ready for winter.
I used these adorable new linen bags!  Who doesn't love polka dots?
I stamped little tags using the Fall Plans Stamp set.  I embossed in red and white. I had these silk flowers in my stash and thought they were perfect for the top of the bag.
A couple of lime green glittery leaves, gold string and the bags were complete!

Here Fishy, Fishy!

The minute I see fish, I hear Ernie from Sesame Street say, "Here Fishy, Fishy!"  (I've watched ALOT of Sesame Street in my day! ;)
When I am in the mood to color I pull out Suzy Plantamura's images! So sweet and fun!
I used Zig Clean Color Markers to bring them to life!
I added glossy accents to each of them because not only do I love the dimension, I love that intensifies the colors as well!

Thank you for supporting my new venture with Rodan + Fields!  I wanted to let you know that there is a great special going on right now.  If you order a full skin care regimen, you would receive a FREE Hydration Serum!
