Enjoy Life!

Happy Friday!
Just a quick post today sharing a fun card using Whimsy Stamp's Gnomes at the Beach set.  My gal was colored with Copics.   I masked her off and used the Sun Rays Stencil behind her. The paper behind the image is from the 6 x 6 Rainbow paper pack.
I can't seem to complete a card these days without some kind of heart. Why should this card be any different? LOL...so,  I used the Sparkletz Crystal Hearts to finish off my card. :)

I hope you are all doing well! This summer is flying by a bit too quickly for my taste.  I keep willing it to slow down just a bit. ;)
Have a great one!

You're Fintastic!

Good morning!
I have a card to share today using Whimsy Stamp's Fintastic set. I colored this sweet gal using Copics and then fussy cutting her out.  For the background I used the Scribbles background stamp. It was stamped on a pale pink paper with Versamark and embossed in white.  I added white scallop circles to help "ground" my mermaid, so I used the new Scallop Circle Frames.  I adhered my gal using Crafty Foam Tape.
I added a few clear droplets, my sentiment, and a scalloped edge using the  Slimline Wavy Edger Die.

Have a great day!

Whimsy Stamp's July Release!

Hi friends!
Today is Whimsy Stamp's July release!  I used the super cute set called, Life is Cool.   I used a no line water coloring technique using my Karin Brushmarkers.  I used the new Revealers Die to create the "pool."  I adhered it to coordinating circles using Crafty Foam Tape and the Pierced and Stitched Circles Die.

I added a few clear droplets and sequins to finish the card off.
And this is the reason my posts have been sparse lately. My son just graduated phase 1 of Nuke school for the Navy.  He has been on liberty this past week and we have been trying to cram as much in as we can.
I even had Cortney home over night and she got to see her brother.  My house is messy, busy, and my heart couldn't be any fuller.
Next week, life gets back to "normal" for me and I should be resuming my regular crafty schedule.  ;)
Thank you for stopping by and supporting my little corner of the cardmaking world!
Be sure to stop by Whimsy Stamps to see the full release!

Elegant Butterfly Take 2~

This past week has been a whirlwind! We drove 16 hours to South Carolina to see my son after 6 months.  He flew back with his dad and me and will be home until next week.  So needless to say I haven't been crafting much. But I did manage a few cards before I left.  This is Whimsy Stamp's Elegant Butterfly.  I applied color directly to the rubber stamp using my Karin Brushmarkers and my Misti.  Then I stamped it again with Versamark Ink and embossed it in clear embossing powder.  It gives it a pretty raised look and makes the colors pop a bit more.  I dusted off the ole' sewing machine and used the black and white striped paper from the 6 x 6 Fabulous Florals.
The sentiment is from the Simple Sentiment Strips. It was stamped on black paper with Versamark and embossed in white.  I cut it into a strip and used Crafty Foam Tape to pop it up in the center. For a finishing touch I adhered a few gems from the All is Calm Sparkletz collection.

Thank you for stopping by!
I always appreciate your visits!

Whimsy Stamp's July Release!

Hi friends!  As we speak I am heading down to South Carolina to see my son after 6 months.  He made it through Boot Camp (Navy)  and A school.  He just graduated and will start his next phase of schooling in 10 days.  To say I am excited that I get to see him and spend the next week with him, is an understatement! ;)  On top of that goodness is Whimsy Stamp's July release.  Isn't this Elegant Butterfly a beauty?  I stamped it with Versamark on acetate.  It was embossed with gold embossing powder and fussy cut.
I've been going old school lately, between the 1990's buttons, now I've dusted off my lil' sewing machine too.  I used some vintage music paper from my stash and some paper scraps. I added some silk ribbon, a couple of posies, and a small tag to the center of the butterfly.
For a bit of added sparkle I added a few clear blue bubbles from the Island Breeze Sparkletz collection

Be sure to check out all of Whimsy's new products!
Have a great 4th of July weekend!

Mushroom Mash Up Take 2!

Happy weekend!
Although it is a really wet soggy one!
I will soon need to build an ark.....
I used Mushroom Mash Up from Whimsy Stamps before and knew I had to use it again.  To see my first card click HERE.  I used my Karin Brushmarkers and chose to use a dark background this time.  I love how it makes the bright colors pop even more.
I paired it with some sparkly paper and used the  Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies.  A few sequins were adhered and this card was done.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Finding Inspiration

Hi friends!  I hope you are having a great week!  I tend to struggle with masculine cards a bit, so I do what any good crafter does.....get inspiration from other card makers. ;)  Kristina Werner's blog is one I visit quite frequently.  I saw THIS card on her blog and thought it would be perfect for my dad and my father-in-law's Father's Day card.  I used Whimsy Stamp's Comic Speech Bubbles Die set.  I cut a bunch of them in various colors of card stock.  (A great way to use up those scraps you keep!) I layered them over black card stock.  Some were popped up with Crafty Foam Tape
I added Dad using the new Cutie ABC Die set.  I stamped a sentiment on the word bubble from the Simple Sentiment Strips Clear stamp set.  For a pop of color I added a teeny heart from the Sweetheart's Sprinkletz collection.

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Friday!
