Love is in the Air!

Good morning and happy Friday to you! I am up on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog today! I have a photo tutorial on how I put this little number together!  And yes, those are straws used for the main backdrop of the card.  ;)  I also  used some gorgeous new lace from Donna Salazar.  Totally in love.

love you
And of course my card wouldn't be complete without a bucketful of glitter!  The sentiment is from SRM Stickers.
love you close
Be sure to stop by the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog for full instructions on how I put my card together.  :)

Cortney has a photo shoot today for a Chicago magazine.  She will have the honor of gracing their cover.  And even more special is that she will be the first teenager that they have ever had on their cover! We are crazy excited!

Have a great day and wonderful weekend! Thank you for taking time out of your day to visit me!

Let it Snow....and snow, and snow!

Good morning!
I have a card to share with you perfect for this cold, snowy month of January!
It was created last year for Northridge Magazine. It uses my Cricut and the Simple Holiday Cards cartridge.  I used loads of glitter, Papertrey Ink paper, string, and jingle bells.  The front of the card is completely cut out.  So it gives the illusion that the snowflake is suspended in air. (Not sure if the photograph shows that clearly) ;)

It might be more visible in the close up?
We are full swing into the cheer leading season with Cortney.  This weekend is her big game so the girls have been practicing really hard.  I have a short 40 second video of the girls.  It is guaranteed to make you smile!  I truly adore them!  (And Cort went crazy with her pom poms!) LOL!

Told ya it would make you smile! :)
Have a wonderful day my friends!

Bedtime Kids and a Cute Pup!

Good morning!  I hope you all had a great weekend!  I didn't do anything special, just a bit of grocery shopping, catching up around the house, and a bit of time in my craft room. :)
I have a Crafty Secret's card to share with you today using the new digital set called Bedtime Kids.
The image was colored using Copic markers and the edges were distressed with brown ink.
I cut out the card using various Spellbinder's dies. (Pierced Circles, Classic Scalloped Circles, , Standard Circles, and Decorative Labels Twenty-Two.)I added some seam binding, flowers, and coordinating string.
Here is the entire set.....so stinking fabulous!!!

One of my friend's daughters is participating in a photo contest for Love Your Melon.  Love Your Melon is a nonprofit organization that helps children with cancer.  If you buy a hat, they donate one to a child going through this battle.  She asked if my furry gal, Myla would do a photo shoot with the hat.  And of course the answer was yes!
After many shots, (and missed shots, because she wanted the hat OFF!) she was getting a bit sleepy. He head slowly came down, hat and all, until she was fast asleep. With the hat on.  Perfectly placed.
What's better than a sleeping pup with a "way too large" hat on her itty bitty head?
Um. Nothing.
;)
Hopefully this gal brought a smile to your face.
Be sure to check out Love Your Melon .
Have a happy Monday!

JustRite's January Release-Spring Wishes

I am home with the kiddos once again!  Part of me is happy, and the other part is dreading having to make up these days in June.
Guess I will worry about it in June. ;)

I have another new set to share with you today from JustRite, called, Spring Wishes. I love sentiment sets because I can incorporate them in numerous ways, and let's be honest, can you ever have enough sentiments?
Since Valentine's Day is around the corner, I decided to make a sweet Valentine slice of cake.
The cake was cut using my Silhouette.
I added liquid applique to the frosting and finished it off with a bit of glitter while it was still warm.
I then added glossy accents to the cherry.  The sentiment was stamped in hot pink and tucked under my ribbon/flower combo. I added a few sequins to finish off the card.
Here is the entire set.  Covers just about everything, doesn't it?  ;)

JustRite's January Release, Celtic Lattice

Good morning! I am home with the kiddos for a COLD day!  The wind chill is way below freezing so the schools are closed.  Gotta love Chicago weather! ;)
JustRite has been showing their new releases for January/CHA all week.  I am so happy to show you two sets today.  One set is a pretty background stamp called Celtic Lace.
I cut the Lori Whitlock teacup card using my Silhouette, stamped Celtic Lace with Versamark and embossed it in white. I sponged a bit of pink ink around it for a bit of soft color.
The sentiment is part of the Caring Thoughts set.  It was also stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in gold.  I cut it into a banner shape.  The flower was cut using the Rose Creations Spellbinder's die and felt.  I added a bit of twine, and a couple of tiny paper daisies I had in my stash from K & Company.
Here is a side view of what the card looks like. It does lay flat when not propped on the brad. Perfect for mailing.

Have a great day my friends!!!
