Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!
I have a fun card to share today that uses the Silhouette and SRM stickers.
The card can be found HERE at the Silhouette store.
It is such a cute cut!
Since I don't really send many St. Patrick's day cards out, I decided to change it to a good luck card.
Perfect for graduations, promotions, etc.
I added a bit of pink to add a pop of color. I also wanted a bit of gold mixed in there. I added gold glitter to the centers of the buttons and around the perimeter of the sentiment. Speaking of the sentiment, it is a sticker from SRM that I adhered to a pink piece of card stock.
A few posies, a bit of string, and a few sequins finished off the card.
My gal is excited about today and can't wait to celebrate at school.  I found this cute shirt at Target. (Couldn't beat the $5.00 price tag!) I draped  a green blanket behind her and took a few pics.  :)
She wanted to show everyone the art work she made at school so she insisted I take one with her holding it up. She is such a silly girl! She was cracking up as I took her picture!
May the road
 rise to meet you,
May the wind
always be at your back,
May the sun
shine warm upon your face,
May the rains
fall softly upon your fields.
(Irish Blessing)

Blessings to you my friends!

Well.......I did it....

Because of your support,
your kindness,
your votes.....
I WON the Favecrafts contest!
I am so excited and thankful!
I feel so blessed!
I can't thank you all enough. This past week has made me feel so good.....and this was definitely the icing on the cake! Please pop over to Favecrafts if you get a chance!

I also wanted to share one of my favorite projects that I created during my time as a Dirty Dozen gal over at Splitcoast Stampers.
It is a picnic basket shaped card cut from my Silhouette.
Each individual rectangle was colored using Copic markers.  Each one was adhered to the basket with dimensional foam circles.  I love the depth that it gave the basket!
The flowers are also from Silhouette.  I layered them and added Flower Soft to their centers.
The sentiment is from My Craft Spot stamps.
I added a few leaves, rustic ribbon, and a bit of twine.
I used a piece of fabric to lay over the side of the basket.
The ants were given a healthy dose of glossy accents and adhered to the basket.
I have a weekend ahead of me full of wine tasting, good food, crafting, and good friends!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you for stopping by!

King of the Roost

Good morning!
I have a card to share with you today that is such a fun image to color! It is an image from the Farm Fresh digital stamp set at Crafty Secrets.  I colored the image with Copic markers and added a bit of glitter with my Wink of Stella pen. I cut around the perimeter with my very ancient postage stamp scissors.  (you know the scissors that came on a little carousal thingy back when scrap booking first started?)
The chicken wire stamp is also from the Farm fresh set. I stamped it on cream card stock. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom and did a bit of machine stitching.
I added a bow and a heart shaped button to finish it off.
I will be posting a bit later......
I have a bit of news to share with you!
:)

Marinated Pazzo Berries

I hosted a dinner party this weekend and stumbled across this recipe at Food Network by Michael Chiarello

Marinated Pazzo Berries

It is delicious! So I thought I'd share the recipe!

Ingredients:
1 cups strawberries, stemmed and quartered
6 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup superfine sugar
sea salt
pepper
6 large Italian Biscotti, broken into small pieces
4 oz marscarpone cheese, stirred to a smooth consistency.

Directions:
1. Place strawberries in a small bowl, whisk together the vinegar, sugar, pinch of salt and pepper. Let stand for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
Pour marinade over the berries and gently toss to coat.
Divide the Biscotti pieces into 4 bowls. Spoon the berries and some of the marinade over each and top with a dallop of marscarpone. Serve immediately.

It was such a great "light" dessert after a heavy pasta dinner. The combination of the sweet and sour and the bit of crunch were heavenly! :)

Could I Possibly Be ANY More Annoying?

Probably not.
My family thinks I'm nuts.
My friends think I'm nuts.
I'm starting to think I'm nuts.
I can't help myself....
I am competitive, what can I say?
I took so much love and care in this project....
I don't always like everything I create.
But this project was different.
I liked how it turned out.
It is filled with love for my girl.
It showcases how beautiful she is.
This little gal has taught me about persistence.
That to get the things we want, we have to fight for it.
So here's to me being a persistent, fighting, super annoying Mama. ;)
Only two more days and the contest is over and then life will resume to normal.
But until then...you will just have to put up with my craziness, and see this muffin tin a bit longer.
She does make the world a better place.  Lot's of people have seen her cute smile through this contest.
For that I am extremely grateful.
I am also grateful for all of you.
For supporting me
For putting up with me.
For your kind words.
So I hope you can pop over to the FAVECRAFTS site and vote if you like my project best.
Please know that I really DO appreciate all of you!
Thank you so much!
Have a wonderful, blessed week!!!
