Farewell!

I don't know what I was thinking when I posted last night.......but please forgive me, as I had just come from a scrapbook party and had had a few glasses of wine! LOL! THIS is my last post for 2008! My time at Sweet 'n Sassy has come to an end. I have so enjoyed working with sweet Korin and the other talented DT gals! I will miss you! But be assured that I will continue to stalk your blogs!! Kathy, Jessica, and myself are ending our term, and some wonderful new talent is coming in! Check out their blogs for some new January sneak peeks and then check the Sweet 'n Sassy blog tomorrow for the current DT's sneaky peeks!

This is a brand new set called Flourishes! Just love it!!! I stamped the flowers and had to outline them in glue and sprinkle some hot pink glitter and added rhinestones! It's all about the bling baby! The sentiment was cut from the Papertrey paper and added to a jewelry tag.

This card was created using an older set called, Snow Friends. I colored them in with my Prismas and added glitter for the heart and the snow. Aren't they the cutest?

Don't forget to visit Jessica and Kathy's blogs today!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : )

A Whole New World!

Noel Mignon is hosting a new challenge to incorporate a love song into your LO. I took the challenge literally and included the lyrics to my wedding song. What was my wedding song you ask? OK, don't laugh at me.......well you can, because I wouldn't hear you anyway.......but it was the theme song to Disney's Aladdin. You remember the cartoon with the genie and Princess Jasmine? Yep. Hey, I was married in 1993, AND I was young! But seriously, when you read the lyrics to, A Whole New World, they are very poignant. Entering the world of marriage, adulthood and parenting IS a whole new world!

And to be honest, this journey that I have been on for the last 15 1/2 years has been an amazing one. I wouldn't want to be on this crazy ride with anyone but this guy right here. He is my rock, my reason to get up every morning........my everything.
And in case I don't post before 2009.........HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Be Mine

Bitten by the Bug has issued a new challenge this week.......to use the circle dot cut from the Monogram cartridge. I decided to break into my Valentine stash and create this card! The paper is K & Company, the ribbon is Papertrey, and the ticket is by Making Memories. I pulled out my sewing machine to do a bit of stitching. Although, I think my tension is off, because some of the stitches look a bit loose. I am really sewing impaired and don't sew anything but paper........so sad I know!

The fabulous BBTB team has cooked up some gorgeous creations.....head on over the BBTB blog to take a peek!

Thanks for stopping by! You make a gal's day!

This Crazy Weather!

I just have to laugh at this crazy weather we've had here in Chicago. Last week we didn't make it above 0 degrees and 10 inches of snow......freezing rain.....and now Saturday we made it to the upper 50's with rain, thunder, and tornado warnings all over the place! And now all of that snow has melted and seeped into my basement! Ugh! It is a muddy mess out there.....which is NOT a good thing when you have 4 little paws to wipe off..... but I digress.......

Since it will be January soon, and I haven't made any Valentines cards yet......I made this quick card using Crafty Secret's Christmas Journaling Booklet. These booklets rock when you are pressed for time and need a pretty card! To add a little pizazz, I used chunky glitter around the image, Dew Drops in the corners, some ribbon, and a Making Memories snowflake charm.

I am off to watch the weather......to see what Mother Nature has in store for us tomorrow........maybe a foot of snow? ( I hope not!!!)

Have a wonderful Monday!!!

St. Nick

It is amazing how fast Christmas comes and goes.......I hope everyone had a great holiday with loved ones. We had a great Christmas! The kids make Christmas morning magical! Of course Santa brought Cortney, Elmo Live..........she stuck out her lower lip and looked like she wanted to cry! Something about Elmo talking and moving sort of freaked her out! Kyle got Guitar Hero this year. We played it quite a bit.......at the Easy level. I took pics of Kyle and Brian's faces as they played..........totally a riot!!! I will try and post tomorrow. My sister, BIL, nephew, and niece did make it in from Wisconsin. It is always nice to see them!

The LO below was created during Noel Mignon's Holiday Cocktail Party. She was hosting a challenge to use red paper, green letters, stitching, and two pieces of DP. ( I used the kit, Winter Weather) I chose these pics of Kyle setting up for St. Nick last year. The pictures are rather busy, I should have converted them to black and white........but it is now too late! I just love the fact that instead of cookies and milk, he gave St. Nick Pepsi and Nerds! Just enough caffeine and sugar to get him through the long night! LOL! Did you also notice the extra pairs of shoes? They are his stuffed animals' shoes.........pretty smart eh? Although, I am pretty sure he didn't fool St. Nick! *wink!*

Have a great weekend!!!!!! May your lines at the Return Counter be short! : )

Merry Christmas!

A couple of weeks ago I needed a card for my husband's boss. It was getting late and I needed something quick. So I pulled out my trusty Crafty Secret's Christmas Journaling booklets. No stamping required! I made a long card which I don't do too often! It is always a bit intimidating! I Cuttlebugged the bottom half and added another "Sugared" snowflake. I added a vintage button and a scrap of fabric I had in my stash. Since it was so bulky, it wouldn't fit in a regular envelope. So.......I made my own. I made a two button closure with twine. It wasn't going to be mailed, so It really didn't need to be secure......just decorative.

I have been a busy little bee the last few days, cooking, baking, cleaning, setting the table, and shoveling..........lots of shoveling! It has been too, too much snow for my liking! I have such a backache from all of it. I pray my sister makes it in from Wisconsin. It wouldn't be Christmas Eve without her. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed.....
Since I will be MIA for a couple of days, I wanted to take this time to wish you a very Merry Christmas!!!!

Everyone Loves Santa.......right?

Everyone loves Santa.....right? He is jolly and fat.....and brings presents.......what's not to like! Well apparently a few of these kiddos weren't impressed with him! I just LOVE Santa's expression as he holds my littlest niece and nephew. I think he is thinking to himself, "Calgon take me awaaaaaaay!" (Do you remember THAT commercial?)

We had our family Christmas celebration this past Saturday. It was nice to see all the kids play together. It was wonderful chaos as each little one opened their presents!

I wanted to share a LO I created with Noel's newest kit called, Love Story. IT is up for sale today, but it won't last long! She is truly the scrapbook kit goddess!! It is jam packed with beautiful papers and TONS of embellishments! With 2009 fast approaching, I wanted to do a recap of 2008. I decided on a collage style page. In a way, it is MY Love Story. My hubby of 15 years and 2 great kids. It was bitter sweet to reminisce about this year. It is a bit cliche, but where does the time go?

With the holiday fast approaching, I have lots to do! I need to clean, bake, cook, and get last minute presents wrapped. My crafty time has been zero the last week! I think I may be going through withdrawal!!!!
Have a wonderful Christmas EVE, EVE!!!

New Release and a PARTY!

Crafty Secrets has again outdone themselves with this gorgeous, Home Sweet Home set. It feels like you've stepped right into a fairy tale! These images are so much fun to color! This was my other sample using this cute set. I again used my Copics and Nesties. The key is also part of the set. I stamped in with Staz On onto a Shrinky Dink, cut it out, and heat it up. I used it as a cute little accent!

Isn't that key just too cute?
Don't forget, Crafty Secrets is offering blog candy, including this brand new set! Sandy will pick a winner on Christmas Eve.
AND JUST AS a REMINDER.........TONIGHT, December 19th, Noel and the rest of us gals are hosting a Holiday Cocktail Party! There will be "drinks," recipes, challenges, and prizes! And really, who doesn't like a good party? Hope to see you there tonight!

New Set by Crafty Secrets!!!!

Have I told you lately how much I LOVE Crafty Secrets? Every stamp set Sandy creates, I fall in love with! This is her new set called, Home Sweet Home. I ADORE this set! These sweet images are so much fun to color! I colored my image in with Copics and used Basic Grey paper. I decided to cut up the sentiment for a bit for interest and because I couldn't make the sentiment "work" with my LO! I used a couple of vintage buttons I got from my very dear friend, Mary Ann. (500 buttons! I am proud to grace the name of Button Whore! Yea baby! LOL!) I also used my Nesties...........love those too!

Starting Thursday (Dec. 18th), Crafty Secrets will be running a SPECIAL SALE that includes FREE stamp sets! Sandy is also doing a blog candy drawing, and will be posting more design team samples! Lots of goodies if you stop by the Crafty blog HERE!
JUST A REMINDER: Since last week I totally screwed up the date of Noel's Holiday Cocktail Party (my bad.......), I want to remind you that it is THIS Friday, Dec. 19th. Join us at the MB for "cocktails," games, challenges, and of course.......PRIZES!!!
*** I promise to e-mail you ladies today who asked for Jo's address. I am not juggling my responsibilities well these last few weeks.......I apologize! I went to the wake and met Jo's family.......such sweet dear people. Her hubby is such a nice man. So your cards will mean a lot to him and the family. He truly supported her "little habit!"

Vintage Santa

Just a quick card I made using this gorgeous image from the Crafty Secret's Christmas Journaling Booklet. I simply matted it and added pretty trims and embellishments to finish it off. No coloring involved at all!

Just a quick post tonight.....I have been staying up too late again, and it is catching up to me!
**** For those of you who wanted Joanne's address, I will e-mail you tomorrow with it. I am sure her family would appreciate it. Her wake is tonight. I feel like her death is going to hit me like a ton of bricks when I go pay my respects.......

Sweet 'n Sassy's Round Up!

Every month the gals of Sweet 'n Sassy have a special card to show you. All of the cards created for the Round up are posted on the SNSS blog. These talented women have outdone themselves! Their projects and cards are just awesome! This card was created using Winter at Home. The set was created by our very own Chris Dickinson.
The images have such a cozy feel to them, and they are such fun to color. I made a few more of these "sugared" snowflakes inspired by Anna Wight. They are cut with Kraft cardstock. You spread glue all over and sprinkle chunky glitter. When it is dry, I spray walnut ink to distress them further. I finished it off with a button and floss. Head on over to the SNSS blog to see what the other gals have cooked up!
***Thank you so much for your kind words of support. It is so touching to know there are so many kind souls out there.........I am sure Joanne is smiling up in heaven at all the love she has received.........

A Heavy Heart.....

I should be posting a card or scrap LO, but it almost seems trivial. A good friend and fellow blogger, Joanne, passed away suddenly Friday night. She was part of our "Stampin Diva's" group. I met her years ago through my MIL at a SU! demonstration. My MIL became close friends with Joanne. It didn't take long for Jo to wiggle her way into my life and the lives of others. We started meeting once a month to stamp, chat, eat, and just be silly. So needless to say, her death is a huge shock. One that I don't think has even quite sunk in.

I guess the lesson here is to appreciate the people you love. Spend time with them, love them, and in the words of Tim McGraw, "Live Like You Were Dying."

I am honored to have known Jo. She was a sweet, talented, and funny woman and she will be greatly missed. You are with the angels Jo.................

I'm a Putz!

OK, I am a complete PUTZ! The Holiday Cocktail Party for Noel Mignon is NEXT Friday......the 19th! So sorry for the confusion! I still hope you can join us NEXT Friday! Sheesh.......I need to get my dates straight!

Have a great weekend!

Is it Friday Already?

I know I sound like a broken record, but man oh man life has been busy! Last night Cortney and I were "party" girls! Every year, the mom who has yoga at her house for our girls, always hosts a Christmas party. The girls exchange gifts, eat, drink, and make merry! (Oh yea, and us moms do a bit of that too! Maybe a little more of the drink part....... : ) It touches my heart to be a part of such a wonderful group of moms and their special daughters. The girls truly love each other, and I am so glad Cortney has such a close group of friends. By the time we got home from the festivities, it was after 10:00 P.M. By the time I got Cort to bed, read to Kyle, and got myself ready for the night, it was pretty late. So no scrapping or cardmaking for this chica! I was beat! A good tired though........a happy tired........ : )

On to the card! This is an Inky Antics image that I bought last year and wanted to play with it again. I think it is just too cute! I colored him in with my Copics. I added a pom pom to his hat. The paper is by K & Company. I also used my Nesties and laser cut snowflakes, also by K & Company. It is hard to tell in this picture, but I used Crystal lacquer for the water. Double click on it, and you should be able to see it.

Keep your fingers crossed that I get my van back today! It is all fixed except reattaching my new bumper. So hopefully the mechanic gets to it today........

And, one more thing......Noel Mignon is hosting a Holiday Cocktail Party tonight!!!! It is running from 6-12 EST. There will be games, make n' takes, prizes and more! So grab that glass of wine and join us in the fun!!!!

A Crafty Secret's Christmas!

Just a quick post tonight.....I really need to get some sleep! I have been pushing lately trying to get stuff done.....and it is finally catching up with me! This is another card using the Vintage Christmas set by Crafty Secrets. I love this lil' Eskimo! I used a new piercing template from Ellen Hutson......I really like how lacy and delicate it looks. I have to add flock and glitter when I stamp this image......it looks naked without it! I also used a clear snowflake that I gave a hint of color too with my Copic markers. The rest is pretty self explanatory!

Oh.....just in case you were worried......I had hot water tonight! LOL!

Have a great day! I appreciate you stopping by!!!

Flying by the Seat of my Pants!

I don't know about the rest of you, but lately, I don't seem to have 2 minutes to just sit! I have been chasing and doing like a mad woman for the last couple of weeks! Tonight was no exception....I came home from work, cooked dinner, took Cort to cheerleading, picked up Kyle, took him to Boy Scouts, took Cortney with me to my 5th graders' Christmas concert, came home, got Cort to bed, finished Kyle's homework, read Harry Potter, peeled an orange for his snack and decided after all of this....the one thing I NEED?! I looooooonnnnng hot shower! I deserve this one luxury after a hard day's work, right? So I get in the shower, turn on the water................................and it is friggin cold! Why? you ask? Is the hot water tank broke you wonder? Nope. It was my 6th grade son who likes to take his hour and a half baths. UGGGGGHHH! So as not to waste time, I took a VERY fast cold shower and got the hell out of there! Nothing like ending your day with a bang! But I digress......

On to the card! This is another card created by images from the vintage booklets by Crafty Secrets. It was a pretty quick card because the image is already done. I just matted it and embellished it a bit. I have been cranking out quite a few of these cards.....and will share over the next few days! And speaking of Crafty Secrets, Sandy will be coming out with a new set called Home Sweet Home! IF you would like a chance to win this brand new set, head on over to her blog!

And one last thing, my wonderful friend Mary Ann is having a give away on her blog. She is the thrift store goddess and has a knack of finding fabulous vintage pieces. I have purchased many things from her Etsy store as well! When she sends them to you, well, what can I say.......she wraps everything so darn cute!!! So head HERE and leave a comment for your chance at winning some vintage finds!
Happy Wednesday!!!

Another gift idea! (and a family picture!)

I have been working feverishly to make some more gifts! I had these cute little Chinese take out boxes from Michaels and decided to make a bunch of gift tags! My hubby already snagged this one for his boss's wife! The image outside of the box is another Crafty Secret's image called, Christmas Joy. I colored him in with my Copics and inked up the edges to distress them a bit. I used Versamark and extra thick embossing powder on both the ornament and bow. I did add some chunky glitter under his feet for some "snow." The little brown snowflake was cut from Kraft card stock, distressed, covered with glue, and sprinkled with chunky glitter. After it was dry, I sprayed it with walnut ink. I also added a rhinestone to the center.
The tags were made from Crafty Secret's, Vintage Christmas set and Papertrey Ink's Holiday Tags Collection.

I tried to add some special touches to the tags, by liquid appliqueing the coffee cups, adding crystal lacquer to the mice, glittered snowflakes, and a red Dew Drop to the center of the snowflakes.

The side of the box has another "sugared" snowflake and a teeny jewelry tag for the recipient of this gift.

A couple of weeks ago, my family went downtown, Chicago. Every year we see the lights, the windows, German town, and have lunch. This year was even better because my sister (in the red coat) and her hubby and kids, were able to join us! So.......do we look a like or what? ( My mom is the one standing next to Cortney.....yep, she is only 4' 11! )
****Thanks for everyone's kind words last week. I do feel better. I spent some much needed time alone with hubby on a "date" night. We finished putting up our decorations, and I just took a break from the computer and scrappin......which sometimes I need to do! I hope my "funk" i s over, because I really do hate feeling that way!
I know this is an oxymoron.....but have a GREAT Monday!

Quickie post....

This will be a quickie post tonight. I am feeling a bit blue, and don't really know why exactly. Teary and crabby. So....I will make this quick so as not to bring you down! This card was created with the awesome set, Winter at Home, created for Sweet 'n Sassy by the awesomely talented Chris Dickinson. I used my Copics and added liquid applique for the snow. I also tried to make the porch floor look like wooden planks. I think they sort of do! I added a few felt snowflakes and some lace to finish it off.

Off I go.....
Happy weekend!

Creating some lil' gifts!

With the economy being what it is....and money being a little tight....I am trying to create some homemade gifts this year. I usually have to buy for a ton of people that care for my daughter. I have 2 bus drivers, a teacher, 5 aides, occupational therapist, physical therapist, speech teacher, adaptive PE teacher, private PT, private OT, and technology coordinator. SHEESH! That is A LOT of people! I want to let them know how important their job is in the care of Cortney, but I can't see spending tons of money.....so the alternative? Write a nice note, and a little homemade gift, made by yours truly! This is a little notepad I picked up at the dollar store. I used a Crafty Secret's stamp set called Coffee & Tea. For the sentiment I added the word remember from the preinked words by JustRite.

Since the pen was green and the side binding was red and green and awfully hard to alter, I decided to make it easy on myself and just coordinate my paper to it! The paper is Graphic 45. I got this awesomely vintage paper from my friend Simone for my birthday. The image was colored in with my Copics. I added glittery "lip gloss" with my Spica pen. And of course, a lady wouldn't be complete without some pearl earrings!
Have a great day!

Christmas Project #2!

I have been on quite a roll making Christmas cards! Especially since Vicki Chrisman, our team leader, issued us a Christmas challenge. I used the new Christmas Joy set for this card. I colored the image in with my Copics. I added some glitter and SU! felt snowflakes.

I used some of my new SU! hardware and glittered brads for the sentiment.
*** van update......I will hopefully get my van back next week. I am on my second rental car. It is VERY difficult to get a handicapped accessible van. I had to wait until today to get it. So far there is $2600 worth of damage, but the ramp and door on the side have yet to be looked at.
Have a great day!

A Sketch Challenge!

Noel asked each of us DT gals to create a sketch for a Christmas card challenge. So I came up with this sketch! Yes, you read this correctly......ME! Can you believe it? So here is the card I made using MY sketch! The paper and this cutie pie stamp were in Noel's new kit called Winter Weather. (Sold out...sorry!) The paper is by October Afternoon and I believe the stamp is Imaginence. I paper pieced his hat, scarf, and gloves. I also added flocking to his hat.

The bottom piece was cut using Martha Stewart's snowflake border punch. IF you would like to play, there are other sketches found HERE! They are fab too! If you decide to create a card using my sketch or any of the other gals', then make sure you leave a comment in the Challenge blog for your chance to win a $15.00 gift certificate to Noel's store! The contest will run from 12/1-12/12. Oh yea, and one more catch......in your comment be sure to leave a link to your favorite charity. (That is what Christmas is about right?) : )

My original hand drawn sketch was recreated digitally by Michelle Lanning.....to make it look like this!!! Thanks!

HAVE A GREAT TUESDAY!!!

Christmas, Crafty Secret's Style!

Since Christmas is right around the Corner, (24 days left to shop! No pressure though! LOL!), the Crafty Secret's DT is hosting the 12 Days of Christmas! All of the girls are posting some WONDERFUL projects that are Christmas themed! My card uses this adorable set called, Snow Bunnies. I paper pieced the bunnies' clothes. (Lots of intricate cutting, but well worth it!) I colored the rest in with my Copics. The paper is October Afternoon, Jenni Bowlin, vintage music paper, and SU! I also added some Diamond Dust for the snow. In the corner I layered some felt snowflakes, a flower, clear acrylic heart tied with white yarn. I added a red stick pin to the center.
You HAVE to see what the other girls did! Fabulous, just fabulous!!! (Why is it that everytime I use that word, I get the High School Musical song stuck in my head?)

Last Day of Blog Hop!

I am a wee bit late in posting this morning. Woke up with a killer headache and finally it is subsiding! Today is my "official" blog hop day for Sweet 'n Sassy! I decided to play with new set called, Winter at Home. It is a great set to sit and color! I used my Copics. I used liquid applique for the steam and snow and LOTS of glitter. Oh, and the edge around the entire image too! (Can never have enough glitter can ya?!) The paper is SU! and Love Elsie. I also used my Nesties for the matte and sentiment. Chris is also hosting today.....so be sure to pay her a visit!
It is beginning to look a bit like this here in Chicago......weatherman is predicting up to 4 inches today! It is the first official snow accumulation of the season. What a great day to put up the Christmas tree!
HAVE A WONDERFUL SUNDAY!!!!! : )

Shadow Box

A couple of years ago I redid my kitchen in a cranberry red color. I love it with the white trey ceiling, wood floors, and my lighted hutch! It is warm and cozy, and is probably my favorite room in the house. I decided to create a little shadow box to showcase my other love.......coffee! I used Crafty Secret's Coffee and Tea set for this. The paper is Basic Grey. I also added liquid applique for the "froth." There is vintage lace and an old vintage button I used to replace the O in coffee. It looks so cute in my kitchen!

My other exciting news is that I made the Cat Walk over at SIS TV!!! My LO (click HERE to see it) from the other day was chosen as one of their favs for the week. That was a wee bit of sunshine in my day!

And just an update....my van was towed today to the body shop. They are hoping to look at it tomorrow. (I am keeping my fingers crossed!) It seems that everything should be covered.....

Happy Wednesday! Lots of cooking and cleaning for me!

Looking on the Bright Side....

If you are a regular to my blog you will know from past posts that my handicapped accessible van has had lots of trouble. I've had the ramp fixed several times in the 2 1/2 years I've owned it, the air conditioning has gone out, I've need new brakes, new tires, and a whole list of other problems. Why? Because when you buy a handicapped van, the company that makes it accessible literally tears your brand new van apart and puts it back together again, but differently to accommodate a wheelchair. The suspension and all of the parts underneath are rerouted. So a simple problem becomes very complex. Why am I telling you this? (I think I needed to vent to be honest...) I was in an accident on Friday night. An elderly woman did not slow down at a red light, instead she slammed into the car behind me, which then slammed into me, then I hit the car in front of me. 4 cars total were involved. The car behind me was wedged underneath my bumper and punctured a hole in my gas tank. The lovely police ( I say with an edge of sarcasm...) never had me turn my car off, instead they used some goop to fill the hole and told me not to drive the van, except to my house. I guess as long as someone didn't throw a match at my van I would be ok. (again....with a hint of sarcasm....) The lady behind me and the elderly lady were both taken to the hospital. It was a very nerve racking night.

So now, I am dealing with the insurance, the adjusters, the police department, and I am without transportation for my daughter and me. And through all this red tape, aggravation, and an occasional tear, I am still grateful. No one was hurt, my insurance company is taking care of me, I have people at work willing to help me, drive me, whatever I need, and Cort's bus company changing their route to make sure she comes to the house instead of my school where she was getting dropped off. In the whole scheme of things, this is minor and I know that.

So because Cort was on my mind, and she was in the van with me when the accident occurred, and she is the complicating factor in my life, while at the same time being the ray of sunshine......

Here she is ......

She is one cool chick....and I AM grateful for her.....even if I do whine occasionally......LOL!

A Lil' Christmas....

I love the Vintage Christmas set by Crafty Secrets! I love this sweet lil' Eskimo girl. I used my Copics on her. I used lots of glitter on the ice, and flocking on the hat and jacket cuffs. The paper is SU! and October Afternoon. I also used my new Nestibilities. I added a felt snowflake topped with a button. I placed a rhinestone in the center of the button.
Have a wonderful Sunday!!!

My Guys....

Noel Mignon is hosting an awesome challenge scrap lifting a LO by Anne Marie Teo. Her page is just incredible! For this challenge I chose a picture of Brian and Kyle watching the stunt show at Disney World. I was so touched that my hubby put his arm around Kyle! It was just a quick tender moment that I am so glad I captured on film! I used Noel's newest kit, (that is ALREADY SOLD OUT!!!), called Winter Weather. It is literally jam packed with stuff! Even though this was not a Christmas LO, I used many pieces from this kit and added just a couple of my own. If you would like to participate in the challenge, ya better hurry because it ends on 11/28!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! (I on the other hand will be cleaning like a crazy woman to prepare for my Thanksgiving dinner! : )

A Happy Little Post!

I just love Crafty Secrets' images! ( I bet you knew that already! LOL) They are so fun to work with! I used the Bug's Life set. I used my Copics to color it in. I also used my new Nesties! The sentiment was a preinked JustRite stamp. I have been loving the green and red combo even for non Christmas items!
Do I need therapy or what? Yep.....I have become one of THOSE people! (I took the picture of this cutie! ) Sick eh?

November Round Up...

It is time for this month's Sweet 'n Sassy Round up. Each DT member posts a card on the SNSS blog! This is my card using the newest set released, called Cozy Feathered Friends. I colored this sweet bird in with my Copics. I used my new Nestibilities too! The paper is by Papertrey Ink, SU!. I used a couple of felt snowflakes my Making Memories. I did add some "snow" by his feet and glittered the little pom pom on his hat. Head on over to the blog to see the other gals' creations!

Have a great "Hump" Day! : )

Teen-age....Crafty Secret's Style!

I saw this image in the Crafty Secret's Childhood Memories Image & Journal Pad, and knew I had to create a card with it! Wouldn't this be cute to give a teenage girl? Since there is no stamping, it was a super easy card to create! I just added some vintage book paper, flowers, buttons, and a little jewelry tag for the sentiment. The little "hinge" was made using my Quickutz. Yep....the Quickutz....remember this baby? I had to dust it off and rediscover all the cool little die cuts in my binder again! So yea, you probably will be seeing more "stuff" with the Quickutz! I DO get on these little kicks of mine......: )

Hope you have a great day! Thanks for visiting me!
