Announcement!!

I am so super duper excited to announce that I am one of the newest members of the Whimsy Stamps Design Team!  Many of you know that I have been doing some guest spots the last couple of months and totally and completely fell in love with their sweet stamps. It has been quite a year for me with the move last February and it feels good to be putting roots down and creating again. This couldn't have been better timing. :)  I truly feel blessed.

I wanted to share a card I created using the Christmas Bunny Row stamp set.  Seriously, could these bunnies be any cuter? I added a few touches of coloring to their accessories and did a bit of stippling to their bodies for a bit of shadowing.  I am on a kick with the glossy accents and Glamour Dust.  (Which is like the sugar of the crafting world.....can't get enough and completely addictive!)

I am not always super comfortable with "white" space and tend to want to fill it up! So I added a large snowflake with a red gem in the center.  Maybe it was unnecessary.  Maybe I don't know when enough is enough.  Maybe I need someone to slap the stuff outta my hands from time to time.  But there it is. In all of it's glittery glory.
Thank you so much for always stopping and supporting me in this little corner of the cyberworld!

I adore this image from Whimsy Stamps called, Christmas Bunny. It was stamped with black Memento ink and colored with Copic Markers.  I added Glamour dust and glossy accents to his hat, tail, and the snow.  I used a sentiment from the Christmas Mini Tags stamp set and heat embossed it in white on red card stock.   A little twine and couple of jingle bells finished off my card.  :)

Glass Christmas Ornament

How are we all doing with our Christmas shopping? Are you done?  Did you even start?
*sigh*
I feel like I have soooooo much to do yet! I am a bit of a procrastinator.....so it has definitely been Amazon to the rescue.
Anyway, I do try to make a few ornaments each year and I did manage to find time to create a bit.
I have a box of odds and ends and this glass ornament was in there.
I covered the bottom half of the ornament with glossy accents and sprinkled Glamour Dust over it. While it was drying I used the Peony die from Whimsy Stamps and water color paper.
I sponged Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and Spiced Marmalade.  I sprinkled it with water and dabbed it off with a paper towel.  I layered the flowers and used microbeads and a pearl for the centers of the flowers. The sentiment is part of the Abstract Christmas   stamp set. I stamped it with black Memento ink and then cut it into a banner shape.  Everything was layered and glued into place.
I may not have all of my shopping done, or cookies baked, but at least I got my act together as far as my tree is concerned! LOL!
I just thought I'd share my family from Thanksgiving. (See? Procrastinator.....Thanksgiving was weeks ago already! Sheesh!) Almost 26 years with this guy.
My two kids all grown up.  Cortney is 23 now and Kyle is 21, soon to be 22.
Geez, I do feel old!!
I always love your visits!
