Me......

These last few months have been hectic and trying to say the least. I still am reeling over the loss of my best friend Jen. I thought I'd be ok. I thought I'd pick myself up right away and move on. Nope. Still tears and anguish and trying my hardest to be chipper and positive. Because honestly, even though my life has it's trials, I am a pretty lucky girl. I logically know that.....but sometimes my heart hurts anyway. So today....this LO focuses on the little and not so little things in my life that make me happy.......

I used Noel Mignon's Seaside Cottage kit. (sold out) I used my Spellbinders to cut the butterflies from the printed transparency from the kit. I added pearls to their bodies. I love how soft and pretty they are.

This dress form wasn't in the kit, but IS found in Noel's store. It is by Artchix. I dressed it up with fabric from the kit and a ribbon and Prima flower from my own personal stash.
Here is my little list of happiness.........just a peek. : )

Thank you for coming here to visit each week......it is on my list of happy things! You are part of this wonderful hobby and my friends. This blog has been such a great place to vent, journal, and share my joys as well as some of heartaches with you. So for that.......thank you.
Hoping you have a wonderful weekend!

Crafty Secret's Challenge!

The current challenge over at the SCS Crafty Secret's Forum was to create something green! So of course I immediately thought of St. Patrick's Day. I used this gorgeous image from the Seasonal booklet. I used a Tattered Angels frame and covered it with a fine glitter. It is a mixture of golds and greens. It matched perfectly with this paper from Melissa Frances. I did a bit of layering and added silk ribbon that I ordered off the Internet awhile back.

I made my own 4 leaf clover with a heart shaped punch. I dabbed Versamark on each heart, and sprinkled with gold embossing powder. I glued all 4 hearts together and hand cut the stem. I added a tiny button by Lasting Impressions, tied with string, to the center.

I am slowly getting back into my crafting groove......it has been hard to get the ole' mojo back after spending time off for my class and such. Sometimes at night, when I have the time to craft, I am just too darn tired! Then I end up reading for a bit instead. It will come back......hopefully!
My time blog hopping has been limited too.......life just seems to get so busy at times! The computer takes a backseat.....which is a good thing I guess.....but I miss visiting you! Maybe someone can invent a 30 hour day???? : )
Have a wonderful HUMP DAY!!! OH! and thanks for the funny pet stories! This one was the funniest to me:
"The pictures of those dirty paws is just priceless. One time my chocolate lab tried to make off with one of the tennis balls on my SIL's Dad's walker! She was quite surprised when the whole walker came with it!" Pam

It's a Good Thing I am a Scrapbooker.......

........and that I love this furry guy.......cuz look at the mess he got into! Holy moly! All of the snow is melting in my back yard and he loves to dig when the ground is soft. He comes bounding up to my steps like everything is just fine......like he is going in the house.....like this! I don't think so! So instead of getting mad.....I grabbed my camera! : ) Needless to say........he went right into the utility sink for a much needed bath!

Have your pets done anything funny? I could use a good giggle today......please share those funny pet stories!
Back with something crafty tomorrow!!!

Lean on Me........a Challenge!

The new challenge this week over at the Noel Mignon blog is to create a "Lean on Me" LO. It is supposed to be about a person that you lean on when life gets crazy! My "person" is my dear, sweet, silly husband. He has a smile on his face constantly and consistently "picks me up." He is a total goofball which makes it pretty difficult to get too serious in the Kovack household! So he is my "person."

I used Noel's newest kit called Seaside Cottage. (sold out) Such beautiful papers and embellishments in this kit.

I am off today.
My class is officially finished.
I am still in my jammies.
Drinking a hot cup of coffee with Vanilla creamer.
House is clean.
Laundry is caught up. (for today anyway!)
Cort just left for school.
Kyle is sleeping in.
ahhhhhhhhh.............Life is good!!!

Enjoy your day!!!
