I am not going to lie, the last couple of days have been rough. Saying goodbye to my son and knowing that I will not have any communication with him for months is rough. Then hearing all of these nightmare CoVid stories is enough to put me over the edge. My saving grace has been work and crafting. I created this Valentine's Day card using the new Slimline Hearts Background die from Whimsy Stamps. I left the hearts intact and water colored the larger hearts in pinks and the background (smaller hearts) in peachy brown tones. I gave it a little splatter with brown water color paint.
For the sentiment I used the ALFaDoodles Clear Stamp set. I embossed it in white and water colored it with a bold pink color. Each letter was fussy cut and popped up with Crafty Foam Tape.
I felt like the card needed a bit more so I added this little gnome from the Gnomies Clear Stamp set. She was colored with Copics and then fussy cut. I cut an additional heart for her to hold. It was colored and given a hefty dose of Crystal laquer and glitter. I finished the card with a bit of silk ribbon and a couple of teeny hearts.
Thank you for stopping by!
You are all keeping this nervous mama a bit more sane! ;)
