Easter Cloche

I can't believe that my spring break is coming to an end shortly....how fast those days off flew by! Not that I am complaining one bit, I am fortunate to have a job that allows for such luxuries! I am sitting here listening to the sound of our fence being put up in the backyard and my little dog going crazy with the intrusion! ; )

I have a little altered project to share today that I believe is called a Cloche. If I am incorrect, please let me know! I had bought these little ones from Emma's Paperie. They are by Melissa Frances and are as cute as can be! I had a paper mache' egg that I painted in a soft pink and rolled in German Glass Glitter. I nestled it in a bit of grass and some moss. The top was tied with a bit of silk ribbon and crocheted flower was attached.
I placed the egg in a little tart tin that I had lined with a bit of lace.
I have this little beauty sitting on my dining room hutch........

So did I drive you crazy with my error yesterday?  It wasn't the upside down bow.....because that was done intentionally.....it was the green buds.....they should have been cut with the white paper.....and I made them green.  ; )  I am glad it wasn't an easy mistake to spot! LOL!
Have a great weekend!!!

Easter Wishes

Good morning to you! It is a rainy, gloomy morning here in Chicago. But it doesn't matter because my heart is light and much of it is due to the girl's day I spent with my sister yesterday. She lives a state away, has kids, works full time, and it is difficult for her and I to get together. But she set the day aside for me, my hubby and father-in-law took care of things here at home, and that left us a day to visit, laugh, shop, eat, and shop some more!

I have an Easter card to share with you today.  It uses the new CCR  Easter Blessings file.  I loved the lilies and decided to use that image.  I "grounded" the flowers with a circle cut from George and Basic Shapes.  I added layers of vintage lace at the bottom and did a bit of machine stitching.
Rhinestones, twine, sentiment, and a stick pin were added to dress it up a bit.  I am a firm believer, that it's "all in the details!"
After making the card, I realized I had made a silly error......can you spot it?  Because now that I know what I did wrong, it is screaming at me!  I should fix it......but I probably won't now!
Have a wonderful day and weekend my friends!

Puppy Love

I know it's been awhile since I've shared a scrappy page with you all......so I thought I'd sneak one in! I created this page about my lil' pup Skippers for the October issue of Cricut Magazine. This little guy was rescued from the animal shelter and has crawled right into our hearts.  He is such a smart, loving dog.  We were definitely at the right place and time when we spotted him.
I used the George and Basic Shapes cart to cut all of my hearts and circles.  The hearts were stitched down the middle and folded up to give it a bit of dimension.  The pretty scalloped border was cut using the Elegant Edges cartridge.
The little dog house came from the Everyday Paper Dolls cart.  The dog was cut from the Sweethearts cartridge.  I added a few paw print stamps to his sweet face.
Cortney was great at the dentist the other day! Fortunately, her baby tooth was being stubborn and needed a bit of help coming out.  So the dentist helped it along and she was a real trooper!
Have a great day my friends!

Easter Baskets!

Good morning to you! I have some Easter projects to share with you today!I used the new CCR Easter Magic Digital set to create my lil' chick.  He was glittered and a sentiment added with twine.  I nestled him in some grass that was cut with my Martha Stewart fringe scissors.  I also added a bit of ruffled ribbon, upside down to the bottom of my card.

My Easter Baskets were cut using the new Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More 2 Cartridge.  I added some Melissa Frances paper trim to fill the box.  (Easter grass would work great too, but I had none on hand!) I added an egg tag and cut the tulip using the Happy Easter CCR images.  I added a bit of lace and ribbon to help "ground" my tulip. The tag was tied to the handle with seam binding.
I Used Easter Magic to cut this little bunny.  He was also glittered and a pom pom added to his tail.  I colored the inside of his ears with Copic markers to give it a bit of depth.
If you would like specific cut info or would like to download the files, be sure to visit the Official Cricut Blog!  (They are also hosting a giveaway too! )
Have a great day my friends!

Party Hat!

Good morning! I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

I love the new CCR images called 3D Cones! I decided to turn mine upside down and make a party hat out of it. Wouldn't these be cute on each party goer's plate?
I used some red ric rac, silver tinsel, and a cute sticker by SRM.
I used a little white pom pom for the center....it kind of reminded me of a clown's nose.( I know clown's noses are red....so don't ask!) ; )
Hide a lil'' jar of M & M's underneath it to surprise the recipient. : )
Today is my first day of spring break and I get to spend it taking Cort to the dentist.  She has a baby tooth (at the ripe old age of 16) that refuses to come out.  I have a feeling that they are going to have to pull it.....ouch! Hopefully it won't take much to get that last baby tooth out!
Thanks so much for popping by!
hugs to you!
