Hello friends!

I have a slimline card to share today using Whimsy's Rainbow Landscape stencil and the Terrific Slim Tickets Die. I love the ease of using the stencils and as you complete each layer, it's like magic! 

I just had to add a bit of chunky glitter to the stars and the clouds. Simple black and white twine finished off the card.

St. Patrick's Day!

Hello friends!

I have two cards to share with you today using Whimsy Stamp's new Terrific Tickets St. Patrick's Day Stencil and dies! My first card I stenciled the image and went back with embossing paste and green glittery embossing powder.  I love that it gave it some sparkle and dimension.  I used the Terrific Tickets add on dies to cut out the image and matte it with dark green and gold.  I added a few clear gems, and coordinating ribbon. 

My second card uses all of the same products except no embossing paste or powder. :) 

Two quick easy cards perfect for the upcoming holiday!

I hope you had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day! I am not Irish, but I love joining in on the festivities. :)

If I'd had my act together, I would have posted this Friday....but.... I didn't. But better late than never I suppose!

This slimline card uses Whimsy Stamp's Shenanigans Word Die and Shadow.  Clovers from the Shenanigans Lassie Die set.   The background was done with Texture paste, gold embossing powder and the Slimline Shamrocks background die.  I love how puffed up it stayed!  A bit of string and few pearls finish the card off.

Luck of the Irish!

Happy weekend to you! Today is my son's 26th birthday and as a married man. So hard to believe I have children that old! LOL.  Today I have a St. Patrick's Day card to share.  Because really, aren't we all a little bit Irish on St. Patrick's Day? ;)  I used Whimsy Stamp's new Shenanigans Lassie Die set.  I cut her out using several pieces of cardstock.  Her skin was cut using a Copic friendly paper and colored.  I pieced her together and added a little bow and pearl to her belt.  I stamped the new Lucky Horseshoes on aqua paper.  I situated my Lassie to top and added a few Shamrocks.  (Also colored with Copics) 

 A few gold sequins were added for interest.  They are part of the Champagne Confetti Mix.

Shenanigans!

Hello friends!

St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner and I have a few projects to celebrate! I used Whimsy Stamp's Hexagon Treat Box and their St. Paddy Shenanigans stamp set.  I colored this double fisted guy with Copics and fussy cut him out.  I stamped the sentiment on a lime green paper and cut it into a banner shape.  The Rainbow Magic Paper was cut using the Nested Hexagon die slightly smaller than the box. 

Glossy accents was added to the beer mugs and once it was dry I added some white gel pen highlights.  I tied a bit of twine, added a teeny flower from the Sprinkletz-Garden Party collection and tucked the sentiment banner underneath it. 

My image was popped up onto the box using Crafty Foam Tape.  

This was so much fun to make!

Belated St. Patrick's Day!

I know I'm almost a week late with this, but we are all moving at a slightly slower pace right? ;)

It is my card for St. Patrick's Day using some fun new products from Whimsy Stamps.  The main image is part of the Shamrock Top Hat set.  I embossed the image in gold and used my Karin Brushmarkers in various shades of green. I fussy cut it and added a few gems.  I also added the teeny heart from the Sprinkletz-Sweetheart collection.

I used the new Lattice A2 die to add texture to the background.  

I mounted the lattice background on sold green card stock and then layered it over the striped patterned paper, This is part of the new 6 x 6 Fabulous Florals pack.   I tied some fun, sheer, glittery ribbon with gold cording.

I don't have one ounce of Irish blood running through these veins, but on March 17th we ALL have a bit of Irish in us don't we? ;)

Since I don't generally send St. Patrick's Day cards, I opted for a good luck card instead. 

I found this adorable cut at the Silhouette store.

I added Doodlebug glitter to each section of the rainbow and clouds.  I added gold Flower Soft to the pot that was given a coating of black glossy enamel. As a finishing touch I added a sentiment from SRM stickers.  

Our school is giving a little treat to all of the students today, Green River floats! YUM! :)

And of course we all wear our St. Paddy's attire!

Crafty Secret's Design Team Challenge and Linky Party! (And a Full Photo Tutorial too!) :)

It is the first Monday of the month, and that means it is time for our Crafty Secret's Design team challenge.  The challenge? 

Feature flowers, green, growing things, garden journals or farm images. Easter banners, Easter baskets, or home décor! Use an “upcycled” item in your project: a bit of corrugated cardboard, packaging material, paper bag, twist ties, jars and bottles or anything else that would normally go to the landfill.

Although it still feels like January outside, it is indeed March! Which means St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner.  And even though I am 100% Polish, we all have a wee bit of Irish in all of us, don't we? ;)

Obviously, mine is going with the "green" theme.

I love this image of this girl and her dog.  

If you are interested in seeing how this card was put together, here is a step by step.  :)

First I printed designer papers from the Garden Papers collection,  in various patterns of green.  I grabbed a Tattered Angels chipboard frame, and an image from the Seasonal booklet.

I glittered my frame using glossy accents, gold glitter, and of course the image I selected from above. 

These are the layers of cardstock I used. 

I cut the patterned paper into one inch strips and inked along all of the edges with black ink.  

You can't tell from this picture, but remember the angled piece of card stock from above?  I adhered the strips on an angle on that piece of card stock.  

Here is a shot on the backside.  You can see that I adhered the pieces on an angle. 

Cut the excess off with scissors. 

Here it is all trimmed up. :) 

I wanted a four leaf clover for the corner near the bottom, so I pulled out my very ancient heart punch and punched four hearts.  I glittered them up and hand cut a teeny weeny stem to go with it.  

I had these white glittery leaves (cut from my Silhouette) sitting on my desk and knew they would work perfectly for this card.  I also wanted to incorporate a bit of gold for an additional layer.  

I layered the gold under the diagonal paper.  I adhered the white leaves.  Tied gold ribbon around the top.  I then attached the gold frame, added a bit of white ribbon and twine to the top.  For a finishing touch I added an acrylic flower to the center of the bow, gold sequins, and a few green rhinestones.
