Scrap & Stamp's Second Challenge!

This week's challenge was to create a LO with a nature theme and use a Sweet 'n Sassy image(s) on your LO. Easy enough! What says nature more than flowers? I took a bunch of pics of my garden and created my LO around that. I used some Making Memories and Basic Grey's Lime Ricky paper. To tone it down, I inked the edges and gave it a wash with diluted white paint. I also pulled out my Glimmer Mist and screen to create the piece under the title. I loved the pop of red! The letters were cut out of craft foam. I incorporated a doily and some other vintage goodies into the LO, as well as that sweet lil' Sweet 'n Sassy butterfly.

Head on over to the Scrap & Stamp blog to see the other fabulous LO's by the DT!
I will be at Craft Fancy in Arlington Heights, IL, all day! I will be doing a JustRite Demo as well as a Make n Take. If you live in the area be sure to stop by and say hi!

Mouse Party Continued!

I am so lovin' these sweet mouse images from Crafty Secrets! (Available today!) I had a bunch of Melissa Frances paper sitting on my desk and decided to use the pieces on my card. I colored the images with my Copics, used my Nestibilities, and inked the edges a bit to give it an old fashioned feel. I finished the card off with a pretty satin ribbon and button.
Don't forget, if you live in the Chicagoland area, you NEED to stop by Craft Fancy for their ONE year anniversary tomorrow! If you would like more info, click HERE! Hope to see you there!

A Second Post? ME?

Yep........you're not dreaming.....
I wanted to post this card I made today using the newest stamp set by Crafty Secrets, called Mouse Party! (Available this Friday) Now normally, I don't really like mice, (they give me the heeby jeebies), but in a stamp set, they are pretty darn cute!
I used a new paper by October Afternoon called Ducks in a Row......I am in love with the soft colors of this paper. I colored the image with my Copics, masked the image, and did some airbrushing. (copic colors listed below)

I did add a pretty little Melissa Frances frame for the sentiment.
For the airbrushing I used the pale yellow around the mouse and balloon, the sky was done with BG000, and the grass with YG95.

OK.....no more posts today! Off to physical therapy with Cort!

Boy, You Guys are a TOUGH Crowd!

Geez, when you guys don't like a card, it really shows! Two comments yesterday!? AND on top of that I lost a subscriber.........*sigh* I kept looking at that card and thinking, "Is it really THAT bad?" Or is everyone in blog land just busy enjoying their summer? Maybe that's it......yep, that's what I'm gonna tell myself........ : )

Anyway, here is a card that is really more "me." Very vintage. Pretty, soft colors, and it uses a sweet Crafty Secret's image from the Girlfriend's Creative Scraps. I used some vintage music paper, SU! and Papertrey Ink. I added some buttons and an organza ribbon.

Told ya it was more "me."

I finally got outside and cleaned my pool. The kids got to swim......finally! Although, I believe the weatherman is predicting more rain this week. Yea, cuz that's what we need.......more rain. (said in a VERY sarcastic tone.....)

Have a great Tuesday!!!!

Nifty Fifty!

Awhile back my BIL turned 50, so I wanted to make him a specialized birthday card. I used JustRite's Demi Phrases and number set for this card. I also used my Nestibilities and airbrush system to give the center a bit of color. The swirl is a Quickutz die. I wanted it to have some sparkle, so I used a black spica pen.

After looking at this card again, I realized it sort of looks like a Mickey Mouse card doesn't it? : )

Just a quick post today, I need to take advantage of this rare 80 degree sunny day. The rest of the week it is supposed to rain.......errrrrrgggghhhh!
