Sweet Birdhouse

I used THIS template from Papertrey Ink. It is the cutest birdhouse! I decided I am going to make several of these for some end of the year teacher treats. Just a little something to thank them for all they do for my children. I filled this one with white chocolate pretzels. I roof was done with the largest Nestibility rectangle. I scored it in the center and then sprayed it with adhesive. I then sprinkled it with Diamond Dust. I added some vintage ribbon too. The sentiment was done using the JustRite set called, What's Cookin' Borders. I added some felt flowers, Papertrey buttons and ribbons.

Love that "sugar" coated roof!

mmmmmmmm, I love white chocolate covered pretzels! : )

I survived Robert Crown's puberty field trip........whew! The kids were well behaved, thank goodness!
Have a fantastic weekend!!!

Thanks Mom....

I am lucky enough to have 3 mothers, and 2 grandmothers in my life. So I have a couple more Mother's Day cards to show you. ( It is pretty typical of me to be late on just about everything.....just ask my family!) This card was for my mom. I created it using the Just Rite set called Favorite Occasions and Borders. I used my Nesties for the scalloped circles and did some Copic coloring. I have been on a sewing kick lately......just on my cards though! No clothing has ever touched my sewing machine! I used K & Company's Wild Raspberry line and a Papertrey ribbon.

*** Guess what my day consists of tomorrow? Taking a field trip to "Robert Crown." They teach the students about puberty and the reproductive system. oh yea. I think I feel a cold coming on......cough! Cough! LOL! Aren't' ya feeling a bit jealous of me about now? : )

It is stormy here and we are under a tornado watch.....so I guess I should shut down my computer for the night! Have a great night and Thursday!

1952

Noel's challenge this week was to create a heritage LO. I decided to use my MIL's pictures from when she was a young girl. Her dad and brothers are also in the picture. My MIL thinks maybe they were at a picnic.....sack races maybe? I used Noel's newest kit, Penny Arcade for the entire LO. I love all the vintage goodies in this kit! So up my alley! Gorgeous papers, beautiful flowers, doilies.........pure heaven! : )

Awwwww, aren't they cute?

The lady is from one of the packages of pearls in the kit.....how's that for being "green?!"

*** Had Cort's IEP today. Everything today was so positive and upbeat......so unlike any other IEP I've ever been to! I found out that my girl can read 25 words! She has surpassed all of her goals and her vocabulary and speech have grown by leaps and bounds! She is surrounded with teachers and therapists who truly care about her and see her potential. I've never heard so many compliments surrounding my daughter.........it was very touching. I am truly blessed that she is at this school! She is soooooo happy there! She is the only kid I know who wants to go to bed at like 6:00 PM, just so she can have school faster! LOL!

Off to get some craftiness done......Have a great night!

Turn Your Frown Upside Down!

This week's challenge over at Bitten by the Bug was to use the smiley/frown icon on the Wild Card cartridge. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with this image, until my MIL gave me the idea for the sentiment, and I created a sort of cheering up card. The sentiment was done using the Times New Roman font and 2 " stamper from THIS Just Rite set. I used my Nesties and Wild Raspberry paper from K & Company. (I've been using it so much you will probably get tired of seeing it! )

I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the card, but when you open it, it says, ".... and smile, smile, smile!"
*** I am off tomorrow for Cort's IEP. I am actually looking forward to it now that she is at Elim. The staff there is fabulous, and they focus only on the things she CAN do. They are so upbeat and positive it is difficult to leave there feeling anything but good! Then I am off to Kyle's school to talk to his art teacher about a project that I want the kids to do for their 6th grade awards assembly and dance. So even without "work", I will still be busy! : )
Have a wonderful Tuesday!!!! I sooooo appreciate you stopping!

Happy Mother's Day!

Just a quick card for you this Mother's Day......I created this card for my sweet Nonnie (aka: my grandma!) Her and I have this "thing." I tell her I love her, and she always replies, " I love you more!" Since she is almost 89.....I don't argue with her! : )

I love the JustRite stamps because I can personalize my sentiments anyway I want. I used the new JR Times New Roman and flower set for this little scalloped card. (I did this with my largest Nestibility.) The paper is K & Company's Wild Raspberry line. I colored the image in with my Copics and used (for the very first time) my Flower Soft. I was a bit intimidated to use this new product, so I only used it in the flower centers.

Hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!!!!!
