Spring is Around the Corner!

Good morning and happy Saturday to you!  I have a Crafty Secret's card to share with you that uses a digital image from the Spring Chick's set.  The paper is from the Vintage digital Papers CD.  I colored those lil' chicks with my Copic markers and then cut the image out with an oval Spellbinder's die.  I added Flower soft to the branches....kind of reminds me of Cherry Blossoms.
I had purchased some Forget me Not flowers from A Pink Swan Etsy Shop and she had these fun poofy flowers.  I am not very good at naming them, so if you are a gardener, please let me know what type of flower it is.  ;) I added a bit of seam binding and twine to finish it off.
I am taking Cort into the doctor this morning for a horrible barking cough.  Her whole body shakes when she coughs..... ;(
I have a few errands today, but otherwise I am hoping to get into my craft room a bit.
Tomorrow I am attending a baby shower for a dear friend of mine.  :)
Have a great weekend my friends!
XOXO

JustRite's New Release-Day 5!

Good morning friends! Today is the last day of JustRite's new releases for March!  I hope you enjoyed all of the new sets!  I have one last card for you using a set called, Celebrations Label One.  I enjoy making shaped cards.....they are kind of my "thing."  (Besides glitter and flowers!) ;)  So when I saw the graduation sentiment I knew I had to pair it with the graduation owl.  This is a cute cut from Silhouette.  I love being able to combine my stamps with my die cutting machines.
The flower was also a Silhouette cut.  I added my own tassel with yellow twine.

And of course the glasses had to be glossy accented.  (That can be a verb, right?)
Here is the set in its entirety.  I did use the bracket on the owl's belly for some subtle texture.
Pop on over to the other designer's blogs for more inspiration using this set!

Sketch Challenge!

Would you like a chance to be Paper Loft's Guest Designer for May?
To participate, make a project (card, scrap layout, or any project that works with the sketch below). Upload it to your blog or online gallery.  Leave a link HERE to your project using the link widget.  The Paper Loft products are not required to participate, but the winner will be chosen from a participant that uses the Paper Loft products somewhere on their project.
You may enter as many times as you want.
Easy right? ;)

Here is my card.  I deviated from the sketch a bit, but loved the element of horizontal stripes.  Each piece was inked and then adhered to the base piece.
I found these sentiments and loved them together.  So this created my two vertical boxes in the sketch. I couldn't resist adding a bit of seam binding and a quilled flower.  I also added a few coordinating rhinestones.
Off to school I go!  Have a great day my friends!
XOXO

JustRite's New Release-Day 3!

Today is Day 3 of JustRite's new release. This set is called Floral Vintage Labels Two.  I am drawn to flowers and fell in love with this set immediately! I decided to pull out my Tim Holtz Distress Markers.  I love the look these markers give to a project! I used Spellbinder's Vintage Label's Two die to cut out the image, and another Spellbinder's die to matte the image.
The card base was also Spellbinders! I used the Label's Twenty-Nine die. I love the pretty edge it gives to the card.  All the papers used here are by Paper Loft.
To finish off my card, I used Provo Craft's Quilling kit, a bit of twill, and a couple of leaves cut with my Cricut.
Here is the entire set.  Both flowers are absolutely stunning!  I love the font used in the sentiments too!
Be sure to visit the other designers' blogs.  They are going to knock your socks off with their talent!

Crafty Secret's Design Team Challenge and Linky Party!

***If you are here for JustRite's post, scroll down!" :)***

Today is Crafty Secret's Design Team post and linky party!  Be sure to go to the Crafty Secret's blog to link up your projects.  Anything spring or Easter related is the theme for this month.  I decided to make an Easter bracelet and necklace for myself.  I have a few step by step instructions below.  It is so easy to make jewelry with Crafty Secret's digital kits. I used the Vintage Easter Eggs Digital kit. Just print directly onto your Shrinky Dink material, cut out, punch holes, and use your oven or heat gun to shrink it down.  Then add a pretty clasp to finish it off.
I love the vintage designs in each piece.
When you place your Shrinky Dink material in the printer, be sure to check that the rough side is the side you print on.  In my printer it prints whatever is face down.  So that was the side I flipped it to
For my bracelet I chose to print them at 4x6 and printed two sheets of them.  If you want smaller pieces to your bracelet, you can print at 3 1/2 x 5.
I cut each egg out by hand and used a standard hole punch to punch each end of the egg.  I used my heat gun to shrink each piece.

I used my jump rings to attach each end of the egg and then added a pretty clasp at the end.
I had a left over egg and didn't have the heart to toss it, so I decided to make a necklace to match.  I simply added a clear acrylic gem to the end using another jump ring.  I then strung it on pretty ribbon.

JustRite's New Release Day 2! Grateful Heart!

Good morning!  Be sure to check out both of my posts today!  (I know, it's CRAZY that I have TWO posts on the same day! I am livin' on the WILD side today! LOL!)
I used JustRite's beautiful new set called, Grateful Heart.  It is such a fun set to color!
I colored the flowers with Copics and used Spellbinder's Vintage Label's Two die to cut the image out.  I created a pocket for my sentiment.  Of course I forgot to take a picture with the tag pulled out, but hopefully you get the idea! ;)
Just pull the tag out and there is the hidden sentiment! I added a bit of ribbon and a few pearls to dress it up.

Be sure to pay the Design Team a visit! :)

JustRite's New March Release Day 1!

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend!  Mine has been crazy busy, but a fun one!  As promised, I have a JustRite project to share with you today.  It is day one of their March release.  The design team will be sharing projects over the next few days. :)
I love this new set called, Winged Vintage Labels One, and the butterflies and sentiments that are included in it.
I found this cute basket cut at the Silhouette store.  I assembled the basket and added a bit of lace trim.  I stamped the JustRite sentiment in orange and the frame in red. I used the Spellbinder's Vintage Labels Three die to cut them out. I stacked them using dimensional foam circles.
I wanted to fill my basket with something, so decided to shred orange paper in my paper shredder to match the basket.
The rolled flower and leaves are also found in the Silhouette store.  I found the yellow stamens at Michaels in their baking department.  I tucked them into the center of the flower for a pop of yellow.
Here is the set in its entirety.  Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!
You absolutely, positively need to pop on over to the other DT gals' blogs! Their projects are beautiful!

I am off to the American Girl Doll Store today!
Have a great day my friends!
