Vintage Love....

Good morning to you!  It has been a bit crazy here at home again.  Cortney's prom is right around the corner.  Then Kyle informed me that he also has his spring dance the same night.  Kyle is starting his first job on Saturday. Which meant he needed black pants, black shirt, black socks etc as his "uniform."  He is a busboy at a golf course. School is starting to wind down, but with it comes meetings, IEP's etc.  As I'm getting older, I'm not as good at juggling all this "life" stuff and my crafting at the same time! ;)
Fortunately, even though I'm not burning the midnight oil, I've managed to get a few projects completed.  I used Crafty Secret's new digital set.
I have always been drawn to cream, soft blues, greens, and pinks.  It has become my "go to" color combination. Add a bit of ribbon, a flower, and few pearls, and my card is complete.
I added a bit of texture with lace and embossing.......
Don't forget that the giveaway for the Shabby Apple ends this Sunday!  Be sure to enter HERE for your chance to win a $50.00 gift certificate to their store!
Have a great day! Thank  you for stopping by!

One Design Two Ways!

I love creating variations of the same card....once the LO is chosen, it is easy to simply change up the papers and colors.  It's amazing how much colors can affect the entire look of the project.  In both cards I used the butterfly from JustRite's Grand Sentiment's set.  I stamped it in Papertrey Ink's Hawaiian Shores.  I added a vellum flower, seam binding, and a jewel to the center for a soft, almost vintage feel.
My second card reminds me of the wallpaper I had in my room in the 70's!  It has a "groovy" retro feel to it.  How many of you had lots of orange in your house growing up?  Or large wallpaper murals?
;)
There is still time to win a $50.00 gift certificate to the Shabby Apple.  Be sure to go HERE to leave a comment!
Have a great start to your week!
