Blinged Out Thank You!

Good morning to you!!! IT is FRIDAY people!!! Wooohooo! I am in a great mood for a few reasons......last night I went to a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society with the gals from work and had a great time! Secondly, I had some of my projects picked up for publication! Came home to the e-mail last night!!!! ( I am a wee bit excited.....can you tell?) And lastly, my hubby and I got a babysitter so we can go on a "date night" tomorrow. What a difference a week can make! A MUCH better week than last!

My card today uses the 2" You're so Sweet set from JustRite. I stamped the sentiment and pretty border with three different Color Box inks. For the pink sentiment I cut it into a banner and sponged the edges. I layered over the green border with a foam square, and stamped the circular border in blue. The glitzy frame I believe is by Basic Grey. (If I am wrong please feel free to correct me!) I had it in my stash for quite sometime and decided to put it to use. I created a sort of shadowbox with the sticker by placing it on paper and cutting out the center with a Spellbinder's Circle die. I placed it on the card with dimensional foam squares. I used several Spellbinder's dies to cut the card shape and circles to matte the image.
I added a few rhinestones and some scrunched seam binding. Hand dyed by me! : )
Thanks so very much for stopping by today!!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

There's No Place Like Home...

Good morning and happy Wednesday to you! I have a card to share with you that I created using my Gypsy! I took forever in learning to use this handy tool.....but now I can say I am officially hooked! I love the ability to make shaped cards! I used Kate's ABC's and cut everything at 4.5". The paper is by Girl's Paperie. I added plenty of glitter, vintage lace, dyed seam binding, and pearls to dress it up. The sentiment is by Crafty Secrets, It is part of the Wizard of Oz set.
The grass was done with Martha Stewart's fringe scissors.
I even created little dimensional window boxes! I just used my SU! scalloped border punch. Some of the flowers were popped out with foam squares.
I am so glad you stopped by today!

And just so you know, I did take my van in and the body shop guy seemed rather optimistic about fixing it for less than an arm and a leg. He was a super nice guy and we are going to take it there next week for it to be fixed. So thank you for all of your positive vibes and well wishes! They must have worked! : )

Crafty Secrets and a Lil" Paper Bag!

Good morning! I have today off which is great.......but it will be spent taking my van in to the body shop. Our van was taken to a local car wash and sustained a lot of damage to the passenger door. The door no longer closes properly and will not seal. I am literally sick about it. My van is not a "normal" van, but instead an overpriced, very expensive ramp van. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this body shop can fix the door without costing me an arm and a leg.

Anyway enough of my grumbling! I have another little altered bag for you today. Are you sick of them yet? ; ) This was one I created for my hubby for Valentine's Day using a Crafty Secret's image from the Seasonal Journal Booklet. I used bits and pieces of Jenni Bowlin, Maya Road, a Martha Stewart paper doily, some vintage lace, and Stickles for sparkle. The sentiment was a Melissa Frances Rub on. The kraft paper was a left over I had cut from my Cricut using the Sentimentals Cartridge.
I love lumpy and bumpy!
The Stickles gives it a bit of sparkle and admittedly a lot neater than glitter! ; ) But don't worry, me still loves my glitter.....messy or not!
I love using bits of lace for the tops of my tags! It doesn't use much so it is perfect for those scraps you have laying around! Just tie it with a bit of twine and Voila!
Wish me luck today! Hoping for good news!
Thanks for stopping by today!!! You are definitely the bright spot to my days! : )
