Whimsy Stamp's New Release!

Howdy friends!
Whimsy Stamps just had their fabulous new release! New stamps, dies, and papers!
The stamp set I used is called, Cowboy Obsession.  It was stamped in black ink and colored with Copic Markers.  I kept the colors neutral as to not compete with the rest of the card.  The image was cut out using the Ropes and Barbs Die set.  For the barb wire portion I added Tim Holtz Grit paste and let it dry.  I dry brushed black, orange, and patina paints to achieve a rusty appearance.  When it was completely dry I added a bit of Tim Holtz Foundry Wax in Statue.  I heat set it.  Around the image itself, I added a bit more Grit paste with my finger and once dry, inked up the edges.  I also added a bit of the Foundry Wax, with my finger, to finish off the rustic look.  The papers in the background are from the Rustic Mountain paper pack.  A bit of twine and ribbon were tied to finish everything off.
I hope you can see the "rust" on the barbed wire.  I am completely obsessed with making tthis faux rust! You will be seeing a bit more of it soon!
Thank you for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Happy Anniversary!

Hello friends!
Just a quick post today sharing Whimsy Stamp's new Field of Flowers  and Field of Butterflies die sets. I paired it with the adorable stamp set, Woodland Valentine. These cute little bunnies were colored with Copics. I used the dies to cut the grass (2 layers), flowers, clouds, and butterflies.  I stamped the sentiment directly onto the grass and added a few gems.

Thanks so much for popping by! :)

Happy Anniversary!

Hello!
This new set by Whimsy, Old Fart Couple, cracks me up!
I may not have the rollers and gray hair yet, but the "WHAT!!" is definitely something I can relate to! LOL! The image was colored with Copics and cut out with the Rainbow Bridge Die set.   The background was done with the new Floating Hearts Cover Plate Die. A fun bright ribbon finished off the card.
Thank you as always for popping by! Enjoy your day!

Using Copic Markers to Add Dimension

Created by Michele Kovack
Good morning my friends! I have a card that was published quite awhile ago in Northridge Magazine.  It used the Cricut to cut the circles and flamingos.  I wanted to add a bit of depth to them, and Copic markers were a perfect way to do that!  I added shadows to their legs and bodies.  The background was  also done using Copics to create a sunset of sorts.  I then stamped a sentiment from JustRite, then added a bit of sand at the bottom to finish it off.

We are finishing up Cortney's room this weekend.  It's a lovely shade of purple!
I think she will be very surprised when she comes home for Easter!
It will be so nice to have both of my kiddos home for the entire weekend!
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Happy Anniversary-JustRite!

Good morning and happy weekend to you!  I still have a couple cards to show you from JustRite's January release.  For today's cards I used several new products from JustRite.  I used their new Heart and Frame dies.  I love the lacy and delicate look of this frame.  I stamped the sentiment and little flowers from the Sweet Flowers and Vines set.  I added a layer of glossy accents on top of it for a bit of dimension.

I decided to add  a touch of silver with JustRite's newest addition, Tonic Glitter!
They also carry puffy paints and I am having such a good time incorporating them into my cards! I used some silver paint in the corners to continue my accents of silver.

It is hard to believe we are at the end of January already....time sure has a way of flying a bit too fast these days! My son is turning 19 and he is coming home today.  It will be so sweet to have both my kiddos with me.
Have a wonderful day and be sure to check back tomorrow! I have one last JustRite card to share!

Justrite Multi-Step Don't Forget Bouquet

Hey there!
I have another card to share with you today using a new set from JustRite.  This one is called, Don't Forget Bouquet.   I stamped the image using Versamark and then embossed it in white on water color paper.  I used my Zig Clean Brush markers.
I am loving JustRite's new line of dimensional paints.  I added some dots to the hearts for extra depth.  The sentiment was handwritten with silver puffy paint and sprinkled with silver glitter.  I was afraid of messing up my card, so I wrote it on a piece of acetate and when it was dry, peeled it off and then glued it to my card.
For a finishing touch I tied silver string into a bow.  I love leaving the "tails" long and flowy.  ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I truly appreciate your visits!
