Mermaid Hello!

Hello!
My card today uses Whimsy Stamp's Fintastic set! The image was colored using Copic markers and then fussy cut.  I added glossy accents to the eyes and pearls to the mermaid's flower and top.  Stickles were added to the sand for a bit of sparkle. For the background I used the Scallop Circle Frame and the Stitched and Pierced Circle for the card base.  While the die was in place I placed the Mermaid Scales Stencil over it. I inked it in a soft blue and then removed the stencil and the die.  Leaving the die in place gives you a nice white border around the stencil.
I added a few clear droplets from the Celestial collection as a finishing touch.

My picture for today! Right outside my back door! Have a wonderful day friends!

Whimsy Stamp's New Release!

Today is the 20th and that means it is Whimsy Stamp's new release! I have been trying to improve my water coloring skills and this set, Flower Wishes, was perfect for that! I stamped it with a no line ink and used my Karin Brushmarkers.   I colored each image similarly but chose slightly different colors and embellishments.

The image was splattered with a bit of black and rhinestones were added to the flower centers.  I stamped the sentiment on waterproof black ink and water colored over it.  I tied a bit of black string and added a smaller rhinestone.  This card was adhered to gold glitter cardstock with Shaker Maker Foam Tape.

This card is identical except for the colors and the centers were pearls.  The cardstock is a silver glitter.

Be sure to stop by Whimsy Stamps to see the full release!

I took this picture in the Everglades.  I think I had taken about a million, but this one was definitely my favorite photo.

A Smile is the Best Outfit and Baby Robins!

Hello friends! I have a card to share today and I also have some photos I took of a little Robin family outside my front door. I have been fascinated by them and have certainly become vested in their well being.  I also have always loved photography but seemed to have gotten away from it a bit. Probably because it is so easy to take quick photos with our phones.  So I hope you don't mind, but I am hoping to share some photos on my blog as well!
So onto my card...it uses Whimsy Stamp's Positives Clear Stamp.  I stamped it in various colors using my Misti.  When I was happy with the colors I stamped the final layer in Versamark ink and used clear embossing powder.  I love the shine and texture the embossing gives it.  I am in love with the new Taffy Slimline paper! It is so gorgeous and I wanted to leave most of it intact.  I used the circle die to create a window.
I used the circle dies to create a frame with vellum and and cardstock.  I added glossy accents and glitter to the outer circle frame.  For a final touch, sequins were adhered.

Here are my babies.  Literally just born.  Mother Nature is amazing.
